Chapter 55 - Chapter 54: An Upgrade for the Little Broken Watch? A New Alien Appears!

"Love Watch (Advanced Version): A Love Watch with expanded permissions. Its DNA storage is no longer limited to ten—now including Wildvine, Feedback, and even Way Big, an evolved form's! It now supports a compact hexagonal Omnitrix configuration."

Was this a coincidence... or the system's clever setup?

The last War Table template had expired, leaving him with only the original Love Watch. But now, the Advanced Version had arrived—stronger, sleeker, and filled with potential.

"This is exactly what I wanted!"

Ethen grinned and said firmly, "System, activate the Love Watch!"

A strange warmth wrapped around his wrist as the heart-shaped watch reformed, locking snugly into place.

He flipped open the display.

Biu~

The screen cycled through familiar holograms—Ghost Girl, Flame Girl… and then the newcomers: Way Big and Feedback.

Ethen's eyes lit up.

With these, only the cosmic-level entities could rival his current lineup.

"System, how many reward points do I have now?" he asked, trying to keep his excitement in check.

[Ding. Current reward points: 300.]

He had started with 260, then earned 40 more after taking down twenty enemies.

"Three hundred points… enough to upgrade the watch again, maybe," he mused. "If I can find a few high-value bounties tomorrow, I'll be set."

His eyes gleamed with anticipation—the kind of look predators gave when spotting fresh prey.

The next morning — Yellowstone National Park, USA.

A geyser erupted with a thunderous hiss, spraying boiling water across the rocky plain.

The Rustbucket carefully maneuvered around the steaming craters before parking beside a calm forest stream. The air was crisp, birds chirped above, and deer grazed nearby.

"The scenery here is amazing," Gwen sighed, admiring the tranquil landscape.

"Yeah," Ethen agreed, equally impressed.

"Ughhh! I hate this thing!"

Ben's voice broke the peace as he furiously tapped on his Omnitrix.

Ethen blinked. "Ben… don't tell me you're pressing it randomly again?"

"No! I'm being careful this time! But it's jammed—just like that knockoff game console I bought!"

He smacked the Omnitrix repeatedly in frustration.

Ethen sighed. "You really have a gift for breaking priceless alien tech…"

Snap!

Suddenly, the Omnitrix screen flickered, releasing a sharp green flash.

"Huh? Could it be unlocking a new alien?" Ethen muttered.

Whoosh!

The emerald light surged outward—and in an instant, Ben was replaced by a hulking electric alien: Feedback.

"Oh? My body feels… huge!" Feedback exclaimed in confusion, before losing his balance and rolling down the hill like a giant coil of wires.

"Ben!" Gwen and Grandpa Max shouted together.

Ethen crossed his arms, unimpressed. "That little broken watch—no, the Omnitrix—still finds new ways to cause chaos."

Without hesitation, he tapped his own Love Watch. "Wildvine, let's go!"

Call out!

A pink shimmer burst forth as his new alien form materialized—a tall, elegant plant-based being.

Her dark green body glistened under the sunlight, covered with slender vine-like tendrils and rooted feet.

Venus flytrap leaves sprouted from her shoulders, and her long hair was woven with delicate flowers, framing striking pink eyes.

"Wildvine, assist me!" Ethen commanded.

The alien smiled gracefully. "Please, call me Princess Vine," she said, adjusting the blossoms in her hair with poise.

"Ahhhhhh!" Feedback's panicked screams echoed as he tumbled through the forest, bouncing off rocks and trees while geysers exploded behind him.

Princess Vine tensed. Cracks formed along her back as seed pods began to sprout. "Ethen, get ready!"

Her vines lashed outward, gripping tree trunks as she swung forward with perfect rhythm.

Ethen followed suit, launching pods to anchor himself to the canopy. Together, they soared through the forest, weaving between geysers and steam clouds in pursuit of Feedback.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Princess Vine extended her vines in rapid succession, creating a giant net across Feedback's path.

Within seconds, the electrified alien was caught, tangled in the living trap.

"Success!" Ethen cheered, pumping his fist.

Princess Vine chuckled, giving him a triumphant high-five. But her expression quickly soured when she saw petals scattered across the ground.

"Ahh! My image!" she cried, flustered yet still elegant.

Ethen laughed softly. "Don't worry, Princess. I'll help you fix it."

Feedback rubbed his head, looking sheepish. "Uh… sorry. Guess I kinda wrecked your garden theme."

Ethen smirked. "Relax. We'll find new flowers. Maybe this time, ones that don't explode."

Suddenly—

BOOM!

A fiery meteor blazed across the sky, crashing into the forest with a deafening explosion!

The ground trembled, the trees swayed, and every Plumber instinct in Ethen's body went on high alert.

He turned toward the smoke with narrowed eyes. "Looks like our next bounty just landed."
