Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: Electric Man vs. Enemy Team

Various factions had formed alliances, launching full-scale assaults on the major corporations within Corporate Plaza in an attempt to seize its valuable resources. The battlefield was engulfed in flames and explosions. Mercenaries from every corner unleashed their full power, each displaying their unique combat styles — the scene was nothing short of brutal.

"All right, boss. I'm heading out too."Ryoji Jinma picked up his suitcase, waved his hand casually, and walked away.

Inside the corporate headquarters' command center, Meredith Stout sat calmly, observing the chaos through a massive screen. Dressed in an elegant black suit, her expression was sharp and composed.

On the screen, the Plaza was a warzone — mercenaries from multiple factions clashing violently with the corporation's security forces. Meredith, however, was not alarmed. Instead, a mocking smile curved her lips.

"These fools really overestimate themselves," she said coldly.

Under her command, the Militech combat divisions began deploying into the field, ready to eliminate all hostiles. These forces were highly trained, heavily armed, and equipped with cutting-edge weapons and cybernetic augmentations.

"Attention, all units! Eliminate the intruders — no survivors!" Meredith's voice was cold and commanding.

Militech's forces swiftly mobilized, advancing toward the Plaza and engaging the enemy. They fought with brutal precision, their firepower overwhelming. Meredith watched from her command chair like an empress surveying a battlefield.

"Hmph. Maybe I should have someone bring me a few puppies. That way, I can pass the time until I'm handed the victor's crown."

She reclined slightly, her eyes fixed on the screen, treating the carnage below as nothing more than a spectacle. She was certain her company's forces would crush the intruders with ease.

Meanwhile, in Corporate Plaza, Electro revealed the full extent of his terrifying power. He moved through the battlefield like living lightning — every strike was lethal, every blast left devastation in its wake. Buildings, vehicles, and soldiers alike were annihilated in seconds.

"Who is that?! How can anyone be that powerful?!" shouted a terrified soldier.

"Retreat! We can't fight him!" another screamed.

But Electro gave them no chance. He darted between them with blinding speed, his fingers crackling with electricity. Each flash of lightning vaporized another victim.

Even Militech's elite troops — equipped with top-tier armor and energy weapons — were useless against him. Their bullets and plasma rounds barely scratched his electric shield.

"All units, attack together! Focus fire!" Meredith barked from the command center, maintaining her composure.

The soldiers obeyed, unleashing a storm of bullets and energy blasts — but Electro danced effortlessly through the chaos. His cold, mocking gaze made it clear he considered them beneath him.

Raising one hand, he fired a concentrated bolt of energy. It shattered a soldier's shield and pierced his chest, dropping him instantly. The others froze in horror, realizing the truth — this being was unstoppable.

"Don't falter! You are Militech's elite! You will not fall to an intruder!" Meredith shouted through the comms.

But her words could not mask the fear gripping her troops. Courage meant nothing against a living storm.

Electro's energy surged again, arcs of lightning tearing through the air. The stench of ozone and burnt metal filled the plaza. The battle dragged on, but it was clear — Militech was losing. One by one, soldiers fell.

Meredith's expression hardened. She knew she had to act fast. She grabbed a special signal flare and slammed her thumb onto the activation switch. A blinding flash filled the command room.

"Damn it!"

"All units, fall back! Evacuate immediately!" she shouted.

The remaining soldiers disengaged and fled toward the Plaza exits. They knew staying meant certain death.

Electro watched them retreat, expressionless. He didn't pursue. To him, they weren't worth the effort.

Meredith Stout evacuated the command post with her remaining guards, regrouping elsewhere to reassess the situation.

The battlefield fell silent. Smoke rose into the morning sky, and in the center hovered Electro — his body glowing with raw energy, eyes cold and unreadable.

He was a god of destruction, untouchable.

Moments later, Catherine and her Anti-Threat Unit — seven elite operatives — surrounded Electro in the middle of the plaza. Catherine stood at the front, her sharp eyes locked onto the enemy.

Electro hovered calmly, his gaze filled with contempt, as though testing how they would react.

"He's extremely dangerous. Stay alert," Catherine ordered.

Her team nodded and activated their cybernetic augmentations.

Jack charged up his Lightning Shock Emitter, blue arcs dancing between his fingers.Alice focused her breathing, readying her Phantom Step cloaking system.Max activated his Metal Shield, armor plating enveloping his body as he ignited his energy sword.Emily, her eyes glowing faintly, used her Telepathic Resonance to sense Electro's emotions and predict his next move.Adam's mechanical limbs whirred to life — his Iron Hunter module boosting his strength as he brandished his twin energy blades.Lilith took to the air, her Wing Dancer flight rig humming softly, twin blades gleaming with plasma light.

"Go!" Catherine shouted.

The team surged forward. Jack fired a lightning bolt at Electro, the blast striking him squarely — but Electro didn't flinch. His energy field absorbed the attack effortlessly.

He turned his gaze toward Alice. Her body flickered with cloaking distortions — invisible one second, ghostlike the next.

"Pathetic."

With a flick of his wrist, Electro unleashed a bolt of energy that struck her directly. Alice staggered back but held her ground.

Max and Adam charged next, one defending, one attacking in perfect sync. Max swung his blazing sword while Adam darted in with lightning-fast strikes.

Electro suddenly shot upward, floating higher to observe them — studying their tactics.

"He's moving to higher ground," Emily warned, her telepathic voice echoing in her teammates' minds.

Lilith dove from above, her twin blades slicing through the air in a cross pattern — but Electro dodged effortlessly, almost playfully.

Then, in a blur, he countered. A surge of lightning arced upward, striking Lilith midair.

He frowned slightly as she managed to stabilize herself mid-flight — her armor clearly dispersing part of his attack.

"I see…"

Electro realized the team's augments somehow absorbed or redirected his energy. Impressed — and annoyed — he decided to end it.

A massive electrical shockwave burst from his body, expanding outward like a storm.

"Watch out!" Catherine shouted — too late.

The blast slammed into the entire team, scattering them like ragdolls. Their formation was broken.

Catherine stood firm, her Warwolf cyber-frame absorbing most of the impact. She gritted her teeth and raised her weapon.

"We won't lose," she said, her eyes burning with defiance.

The team regrouped quickly. Jack fired another surge of electricity, creating a thunderstorm of energy. Alice flanked him using Phantom Step. Max and Adam attacked in unison again, blades and shields clashing with precision.

Above, Lilith rained down plasma blades, while Emily continued to guide them telepathically, predicting Electro's moves.
