Nathan Hawk and the others were discussing ways to improve Olympus' self-control when suddenly, a brilliant rainbow bridge appeared before them. From it emerged Thor, the God of Thunder, straight from Asgard.
Nathan raised an eyebrow and glanced at Kreuz, who shrugged, saying, "I don't know. I'll keep an eye on it."
Thor, clad in shining silver armor and wielding Mjolnir, exuded majesty and power. His arrival immediately drew everyone's attention—Nathan, André, and Thor were old friends, bonded by deep mutual respect.
Nathan stepped forward, shaking Thor's hand with a smile. "Thor! Great to see you. What brings you from Asgard to Earth?"
Then Nathan jokingly added, "By the way, you promised to bring some mead next time… where's the mead?"
A brief shadow of embarrassment crossed Thor's face before he turned serious. "Nathan, my friend, I've come because Asgard is in crisis. I need your help."
Nathan and the others immediately became alert. For Thor to ask for help, the situation must be dire.
Thor continued, "Asgard's peace is threatened by a powerful dark force—the followers of the former Dark Elf Malekith. They seek to reclaim the Aether and use its power to destroy Asgard and the nine other realms."
Nathan recalled the events of Thor: The Dark World, realizing the gravity of the threat. He took a deep breath. "Thor, you know I'll give this my full support. Tell me what you need, and we'll face this crisis together."
Thor nodded gratefully. "I need the help of your superhero team. We must unite to stop this darkness."
Nathan agreed and turned to André and the Invisible Man. "This is an urgent mission. We need to be ready. Thor, do you have any intel or leads?"
Thor shook his head. "The Bifrost is only partially open. I came to bring you there myself."
"Time isn't on our side, then," André said immediately.
"No, it isn't," Thor replied, his expression tense.
Nathan studied Thor for a moment and patted him on the shoulder. "Ten minutes."
Ten minutes later, Nathan Hawk, André, the Invisible Man, Dr. Kreuz, and John Walker followed Thor to Asgard.
Thor glanced at the familiar and unfamiliar faces in the group. "Where's Max?" he asked in surprise.
Genji Ryoma replied, "He's been dealing with Hydra lately."
"I see," Thor nodded, accepting it. "Since he has his own matters, let's move quickly."
The rainbow bridge enveloped Nathan and his team in radiant light, transporting them from Earth to Asgard. A mysterious power surged through their bodies, as if summoned by Thor himself, guiding them across the Bifrost.
Nathan felt a mix of curiosity, anticipation, and unease. As the team approached the other end of the bridge, they saw devastation: Asgard lay in ruins.
Buildings were shattered, rubble charred, and smoke hung thick in the sky. Deep scars marked the ground, evidence of a recent fierce battle.
Thor's face was grave, filled with guilt and responsibility. Turning to Nathan and his team, he said solemnly, "Nathan, I'm sorry. Asgard is in crisis again. My father Odin has fallen into a deep slumber, my mother has passed, and the Dark Elves threaten us once more."
Nathan understood Thor's pain. Placing a firm hand on his shoulder, he said, "Thor, this isn't your fault. We'll support you fully and face this crisis together. The Dark Elves are our enemy, too."
Thor nodded appreciatively and pointed ahead. "Malekith, the leader of the Dark Elves, seeks the Aether. Its power is immense—if he claims it, the entire universe will be at risk. We must stop him and defend Asgard and the nine realms."
Nathan and his team followed Thor into Asgard's ruined city. The Asgardians there showed a mixture of despair, worry, and burning determination. Some cleared rubble and repaired homes; some aided the wounded; others stood quietly, their eyes hollow from loss.
Their arrival drew attention. Many paused, observing these new allies. Hope flickered in some eyes, while others remained anxious, battle-worn yet resolute.
Thor inhaled deeply and called out, "Heimdall, I need you!"
A towering figure appeared—Heimdall, Asgard's all-seeing guardian. His gaze assessed Nathan and his team through the Bifrost's glow.
"These are my friend Nathan Hawk and his team. They will be our allies," Thor introduced.
Heimdall nodded, signaling trust, and addressed the Asgardians: "Gods and warriors of Asgard, Nathan Hawk and his team come from Midgard. They stand ready to fight alongside us."
The Asgardians' eyes reflected gratitude as they regarded the newcomers.
Thor led the team to Asgard's council chamber—a grand hall adorned with ancient runes and carvings. Gods and leaders convened to strategize against the Dark Elves.
Nathan, André, the Invisible Man, Dr. Kreuz, and John Walker sat around the table as Thor outlined the threat.
Pointing at a map, Thor indicated the Dark Elves' strongholds. "Vanaheim, as its colors suggest, is a barren wasteland. It is their primary base, home to Malekith and his followers."
He continued, "The Dark Elves are led by Malekith, with a powerful general named Algoris commanding their forces."
Nathan listened intently, gauging the battle's difficulty. "How strong are their forces?" he asked.
Thor replied, "Their army has four tiers: soldiers, captains, sorcerers, and generals. Soldiers form the bulk, captains lead squads, sorcerers wield potent magic, and generals are the ultimate commanders, with superior strength and skill."
"And Thor," André asked, curiosity in his voice, "have you fought Malekith personally?"
Thor's expression darkened. He nodded slowly. "Malekith is extremely powerful and cunning. He desires the Aether and will use it to destroy Asgard and the nine realms. I have faced him recently—it was fierce. His strength is terrifying. I managed to wound him, but he is no ordinary foe. He struck me with a deadly spell, which would have killed me if not for my father's magic protecting me."
Thor's voice grew heavy with sorrow. "My father's magic saved me, but at a terrible cost—he fell into a deep slumber, never to awaken."
Nathan and the team felt the magnitude of the threat and understood Thor's pain.
Though inexperienced, André showed determination. "Thor, stop blaming yourself. We must unite to defend Asgard and the universe. You are not alone—we face this together."
Thor looked at André gratefully. He sensed Nathan and the team's strength and resolve. He knew that facing the Dark Elves alone would be futile; only unity could overcome them.
"You're right, André," Thor said, his gaze steady. "I cannot dwell on past guilt. Our priority is defending Asgard and thwarting Malekith's schemes. We will fight together for peace and justice."
Nathan and Dr. Kreuz thought simultaneously: even if you feel guilty, it's no time for it.
"So what's the plan?" Nathan asked.
"We are assembled. Tomorrow, at first light," Thor said, clenching his fists. "We enter Vanaheim."
"Excellent! Tomorrow, watch my power—it ends everything," André said, floating as his telekinesis flared.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Dr. Kreuz clapped, standing, blue flames igniting around him. "I'll also gather combat data this time."
John Walker, sensing the team's fighting spirit, stood as well, radiating energy—Thor looked on, slightly surprised.
Nathan agreed, standing and turning to Thor. "Tomorrow, Malekith is yours. Algoris is mine."
