Chapter 54 - Chapter 53: Pressure Massenet

Boruto swung the whip, electric-blue arcs crackling across its length.

Each lash struck with perfect precision, slicing through the humid night air and landing squarely on the bodies bound to the crosses.

Shizuma, who had endured in silence until now, finally screamed — a raw, guttural cry that echoed across the island.

Boruto had lost all patience. He no longer asked, "What's 1000 minus 7?"

He simply lashed them again and again, his electric whip crackling with fury.

"This is… too painful…"

Out at sea, Suigetsu watched the bursts of light flashing from the island and sighed softly.

"So, you were the one watching all along, huh, Suigetsu?"

Mitsuki appeared, calmly walking across the water toward him.

"I never thought I could hide it from you," Suigetsu said with a shrug.

"If the Hidden Mist found out I was on a mission here, it'd be a real hassle."

He looked toward the island, his tone darkening. "I just didn't expect that after so many years, I'd return to my homeland for something like this."

"I don't get those idiots… why would they think about overthrowing the Mizukage?"

Suigetsu's gaze lingered on the seven tortured figures writhing under Boruto's whip.

Contempt filled his eyes. "With that pathetic strength? A bunch of brats who've never seen war, trying to start a revolution. Ridiculous."

Mitsuki's eyes followed his line of sight. "Oh? You really despise them that much, Suigetsu?"

"Nonsense!" Suigetsu snorted. "Seeing these kids wield the Seven Ninja Swords without even knowing how to use them — it's an insult to the legends. It makes my blood boil!"

"Makes sense," Mitsuki said softly. "You used to be one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist yourself, right?"

"That's all in the past," Suigetsu said with a sigh, clearly unwilling to revisit those memories.

"Anyway, Mitsuki… seeing Boruto like this, do you still call him your sun?"

"Yes," Mitsuki answered calmly. "Don't mind Boruto's cruelty. That's only toward his enemies."

He looked toward Boruto again, still swinging the whip without hesitation.

"When it comes to his comrades and family… Boruto is kind and protective. He is my sun."

Suigetsu smiled faintly. "You've learned a lot in Konoha."

He pulled out a scroll and tossed it to Mitsuki. "That's a list of names — the ones backing Shizuma from the shadows. Give it to the Mizukage. I'm out of here."

With that, his body melted into liquid form and splashed into the sea, vanishing beneath the waves.

Back on the island, the screams rose and fell, echoing through the dark night.

"Ah—!!"

"I… I'll answer!" Hebiichigo broke down, her voice trembling and soaked with tears. "It's… 911! No, 998! I don't know! Please stop hitting me!"

But Boruto didn't even glance at her. His voice was cold. "I didn't ask. Why are you answering?"

He raised the whip again. "Keep feeling the pain."

Under the electric glow, their bodies convulsed violently, their skin scorched black by arcs of lightning.

The air stank of burnt flesh.

Kyohou, Buntan, and Hassaku were on the edge of unconsciousness. Ichirota and Izuki's groans had faded to weak whimpers.

Only Shizuma was still barely conscious, teeth gritted.

Boruto looked at him and sneered. "You've got some nerve left, huh? Pressure Massenet."

At that name, Samehada's body twisted violently on the cross.

"Oh? So even a sword has emotions?" Boruto smirked. "What's wrong? Missing Kisame Hoshigaki?"

At the mention of its former wielder, Samehada trembled and made a low, gurgling sound — almost… excited.

By now, it had devoured a large amount of Boruto's chakra, its bloated body twitching with unstable energy.

Boruto's grin widened. "Since you miss him so much… let me help you feel more."

"Lightning Five-Hit Whip!"

The whip snapped through the air, thunder exploding with each strike — five streaks of blazing electricity slamming into Samehada like enraged dragons.

The sword writhed violently under the assault, vibrating the entire cross.

Despite the agony, Samehada greedily absorbed the current, swelling further until it let out a grotesquely satisfied burp.

"Kagura, are you alright?"

Chōjūrō's voice rang out as he arrived on the island, leading a squad of Kirigakure Anbu.

Kagura shook his head gently. "I'm fine, Lord Chōjūrō."

Chōjūrō nodded, then looked around — at Shizuma and the others, hanging limp and half-dead from the crosses.

"…Is it over already?" he muttered to himself. His gaze flicked toward Boruto, thoughtful.

He defeated them all… the entire group of Seven Ninja Swordsmen… alone. At this age? Terrifying.

He stepped forward. "Boruto, thank you — for saving Kagura and stopping Shizuma's coup."

Boruto waved it off casually. "It's nothing. They just couldn't take a beating — kind of disappointing, honestly. Samehada's tougher than all of them combined."

Chōjūrō chuckled helplessly.

When Boruto mentioned Samehada, he turned and blinked — the great sword was now swollen like an overfed whale.

Boruto raised his hand, and the crosses shimmered, morphing into black prayer beads that floated back into his palm.

Shizuma and the others, along with Samehada, collapsed to the ground. They were barely breathing — little more than corpses at this point.

If they were still conscious, they'd probably regret ever being born into this world of pain.

"Since everything's settled, Uncle Chōjūrō," Boruto said, dispelling his Transformation Jutsu, "we'll head back to the hotel."

Chōjūrō nodded, gesturing for them to go.

"Let's go, Denki." Boruto waved over his shoulder.

Denki followed, eyes shining. "Yes, Boruto! Those seven hits were so cool!"

Boruto grinned proudly at the praise — but then suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong, Boruto?" Denki asked curiously.

"I forgot to do the finishing move."

Boruto walked over, grabbed a wooden plaque from the ground engraved with the words 'Kicking the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist'.

"Ah, da!"

He tossed it high into the air, jumped, and sliced it clean in half with a single motion.

"That," Boruto said with a satisfied smirk, "is how you end things perfectly."
