Chapter 100 - Chapter 99: Konohamaru-Sensei

"Amazing! Is this the strength of a Konoha ninja? To defeat an opponent with just one move… the power of a Konoha ninja truly lives up to its reputation."

The villagers of Green Bank all turned their gazes toward the battlefield, their eyes filled with awe and gratitude.

Although they had placed their hopes in the Konoha ninjas' arrival, seeing Konohamaru's strength firsthand turned that hope into real relief.

"Ashimaru was defeated so easily… that teacher from Konoha must be a Jonin!"

"I never expected Konoha to send such a powerful figure for this mission. Looks like we'll have to abandon Ashimaru."

In the corner of a house, a man dressed in white quietly observed everything. His expression was tense and unwilling.

"This time… I admit defeat," he muttered. "But once the people from Konoha leave, Ashimaru, I'll avenge you."

The man—Hotaru, Ashimaru's accomplice—glared fiercely at Boruto and the others, preparing to flee.

But at that moment, Boruto's gravitational pull locked onto him.

A powerful suction force yanked Hotaru off the ground, dragging him toward Boruto.

"What's going on? I've been discovered! What kind of ability is this?! I can't break free!"

Hotaru struggled helplessly, his body suspended in midair. No matter how hard he fought, he couldn't escape that mysterious force.

He looked at Boruto in horror as the boy raised his hand, eyes glowing with a strange light.

"Byakugan…? No, this kid's power is something else entirely!"

"There's another ninja!" Konohamaru called out, spotting Hotaru being pulled in.

"You—let me go!" Hotaru shouted, struggling in vain. His face twisted with fear and despair.

"What are you afraid of? I'm easygoing—I won't hit you," Boruto said with a playful grin.

"Big Brother Konohamaru, I'll leave this one to you." With that, Boruto released the gravitational pull.

Hotaru dropped to the ground, gasping. He stared at Boruto warily. This kid caught me… then let me go? What the hell is he planning?

"Boruto, I told you—it's Konohamaru-sensei," Konohamaru corrected with a helpless sigh.

"Alright, Konohamaru-sensei," Boruto replied obediently.

"Also… why did you release him after you already caught him?" Konohamaru asked, puzzled.

Boruto smirked. "Simple. I want to see if you're qualified to be our leading teacher."

He waved his hand, using his ability to pull over three chairs, then sat down casually.

"Sarada, Mitsuki, come on! Let's watch the show," Boruto said.

Sarada hesitated. "Boruto… isn't that kind of rude? Sensei's going to fight while we just sit here?"

Boruto waved her off. "What are you afraid of? My dad's the Hokage—I call the shots!"

Sarada and Mitsuki exchanged a look, then sighed and sat down. They both knew Boruto—once he made up his mind, there was no changing it.

Hotaru, meanwhile, was dumbstruck. "Hokage? He's the Hokage's son? No way…"

"Blond hair… those strange eyes and power—it's really him!"

"The son of the Hokage himself? I can't believe Konoha sent him here," one villager murmured.

Kiri also looked at Boruto in surprise, her expression mixed with curiosity and unease.

The man beside her whispered, "Lady Kiri, what should we do? That's the Hokage's son."

Kiri quickly composed herself. "Go prepare some snacks and fruit. Treat the Hokage's son properly—no mistakes."

She knew the presence of the Hokage's son was a big deal. They couldn't afford to offend him.

"Hahaha! No wonder they sent a Jonin as team leader—it's because the Hokage's son is here! I, Hotaru, admit defeat," Hotaru said with a forced laugh.

But nearby, a short, bearded man trembled in fear. He had hired Hotaru and Ashimaru to seize control of Green Bank's bridge. Now everything had fallen apart.

"Damn it… that brat is the Hokage's son. If Hotaru exposes me, I'm screwed!"

"Aren't you going to fight?" Boruto asked lazily, watching Hotaru stand frozen.

"What's the point? The outcome's already decided…" Hotaru sighed, giving up.

Boruto frowned. "How boring. Fine—if you can defeat my teacher, I'll let you go."

Hotaru blinked. "What? You'd really spare me? How do I know you're not lying? If you break your word, I'm done for!"

Boruto smirked. "I swear on my dad's name—as long as you can defeat Konohamaru-sensei, you're free."

Hotaru's eyes lit up. "Alright then! Since the Hokage's son swore on his father's name, I'll believe you this once!"

He took a deep breath and released his chakra, ready to fight with everything he had.

Konohamaru sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Having Boruto as a student really is the worst."

"Usually, the teacher watches from behind while the students fight. But now, it's reversed! How did I become the one on display?"

"Konohamaru-sensei, be careful! If things get bad, we'll help right away!" Sarada called.

Konohamaru chuckled. "Seems like I'm being underestimated. I guess I'll have to show them what I've got."

The villagers backed away, giving space for the battle. Their faces were filled with tension and excitement—it wasn't every day they got to witness a ninja duel up close.

Author's Note:

Honestly, writing Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is tough.

Before starting this series, I rewatched some of Boruto's better episodes, but most of my reference comes from short clips and summaries.

This story won't break any original pairings or canon relationships. Sarada, Sumire, and Mitsuki already like Boruto—it'd be a waste not to include that.

There aren't many villains in Boruto, aside from the Ōtsutsuki and Kara.

So, I'll be speeding up the plot a bit—it's necessary since the canon pacing is so slow.

I added some humor early on to keep things fun, but there's not much left to play with now.

Anyway, thank you all for your support—it really means a lot.
