Chapter 112 - Chapter 111: End of the Valley

"Good son?"

Naruto frowned, confused. "Sasuke, what do you mean by that?"

Sasuke's voice was cold and sharp.

"Your son made Sarada awaken her Mangekyō Sharingan! Do you even understand what that means?"

He clenched his fist, anger trembling in his tone.

"That's an eye born from pain and despair, Naruto!"

Naruto froze. The weight of Sasuke's words struck him.

Sarada… awakening the Mangekyō at her age? Could Boruto have done something to cause that kind of pain?

"Sasuke," Naruto said carefully, "you've got it wrong. Boruto would never hurt Sarada."

"Wrong?" Sasuke barked a laugh. "You think I'm blind? Then explain what's going on with that girl behind your son!"

"Girl?" Naruto turned, noticing Sumire standing behind Boruto — pale, anxious, and gripping Boruto's arm for comfort.

Naruto's jaw dropped. Wait… Boruto's got both Sarada and Sumire?! You've got to be kidding me.

"Boruto," he said slowly, trying to make sense of it, "what the hell is going on?"

Boruto just smirked, reached out, and took Sarada's hand with one hand — and Sumire's with the other.

"Dad, as you can see… this is the situation."

Sumire looked flustered. "Boruto, I—"

"It's fine, Sumire," Boruto said calmly, giving her a reassuring glance. "Don't worry about it."

Naruto blinked, completely dumbfounded.

This kid really just said that with a straight face.

Meanwhile, Sasuke's face went red with fury. His chakra flared uncontrollably.

"You yellow-haired brat! Even if Naruto's standing right here, I'll break your damn legs!"

"Sasuke!" Kakashi's voice rang out as he arrived, pushing Might Guy in his wheelchair.

"Kakashi-sensei! Guy-sensei!" Naruto called out. "You're here too?"

Kakashi nodded. "We saw your giant Susanoo from half the village away. Mind explaining what's happening?"

His eyes shifted to Boruto — who was still holding both girls' hands.

Kakashi sighed deeply. "Ah. So that's what's going on. Figures."

Guy chuckled from his wheelchair, grinning. "Kakashi, it looks like Boruto's… living quite youthfully!"

Kakashi rubbed his temples. "Naruto, Sasuke — please handle this properly before we end up with another crater in Konoha."

He thought silently to himself: Naruto, for everyone's sake, hold Sasuke back.

Sasuke's glare intensified. He looked straight at Naruto.

"Give me an explanation, now."

Naruto scratched the back of his head. "Honestly, I don't even know what to say. This kid… he's something else."

He sighed. Boruto, you little punk. You've got Sarada and Sumire standing side by side and neither's throwing a punch… but how the hell am I supposed to calm Sasuke down?

Suddenly, Boruto stepped forward, pulling Sarada into his arms.

"Boruto, what are you doing?!" Sarada's face flushed bright red.

Even though she was used to Boruto's boldness, doing this in front of her father and Uncle Naruto was way too much.

"Explanation?" Boruto said firmly. "There's nothing to explain. Sasuke-uncle, I'll take care of Sarada — you have my word."

Sasuke's entire face turned scarlet. Steam practically shot out of his ears.

Not only was his daughter blushing in another man's arms, that same brat was still holding another girl's hand!

"Take care of Sarada?!" Sasuke roared. "What a joke! WHAT. A. JOKE!"

His chakra exploded outward. The Complete Body Susanoo let out a thunderous roar, shaking the entire ground beneath them.

Naruto winced. "Damn it, Boruto! You really are my son!"

"Father, you're being unreasonable!" Sarada shouted, breaking free from Boruto's embrace.

"I'm being unreasonable?!" Sasuke's voice trembled with rage. "Everything I'm doing is for your own good!"

"For my own good?" Sarada's voice rose, trembling but fierce.

"Then tell me, Father — why have you never been home? Do you even know how Mom's lived all these years?"

"You don't know anything about me! Not my dreams, not my friends, not Boruto! You have no right to tell me what's good for me!"

Her voice cracked with emotion. "You're really annoying, Father!"

Sasuke froze. His grip on the Kusanagi slackened. The words cut deep, straight into his chest.

"...Sarada." His voice was hoarse, trembling with guilt.

She was right. He hadn't been there — not when she grew up, not when she needed him. He hadn't even recognized her once.

What kind of father was he?

He slowly deactivated his Susanoo and descended to the ground, his gaze falling on his daughter's teary eyes before he looked away in shame.

Then, like a spark in his mind, he remembered Boruto's earlier words: "If I can't beat you, I'll beat your dad."

His expression hardened. He turned sharply toward Naruto.

"Naruto… I'm in a bad mood. Let's fight."

Naruto sighed — but he understood. Sasuke needed this. A good, clean fight might be the only way to release everything boiling inside him.

He smiled faintly. "Alright, Sasuke. Let's settle this — just like old times."

"Hey, you two!" Kakashi protested, stepping forward. "Don't you dare start a fight here!"

But Guy was already pumped, waving his arms excitedly. "YOUTH! This is pure youth!"

Sasuke gave Sarada one last look, then vanished in a flicker.

Naruto sighed, glanced at Boruto, and disappeared after him.

As the two men left, Sumire approached Sarada with a guilty expression.

"I'm sorry, Sarada. If it weren't for me, you and your father—"

Sarada smiled gently and shook her head.

"It's okay, Sumire. Honestly, I've wanted to say those things to my dad for a long time. Today, I finally did."

Then she turned to Boruto, lightly punching his chest. "But seriously, weren't you afraid my father was going to cut you down just now?"

Boruto grinned. "What's there to be afraid of? My dad's here, isn't he?"

Kakashi looked at the trio, shaking his head with a sigh.

"Boruto, you really make people worry. Matters of the heart… those are up to you kids. Just — remember to respect your boundaries."

He gave Boruto a knowing glance before looking toward the horizon.

The Final Valley

Across the lake at the Valley of the End, Naruto and Sasuke faced each other — their old battlefield reborn.

Sasuke's eyes scanned the deep scars carved into the landscape.

"These marks… someone's fought here recently. Susanoo blade traces… could it have been Madara and Hashirama? What the hell is that Masked Man planning?"

He shook his head. "Forget it. I don't care. Right now, I just want to beat the hell out of that yellow-haired idiot's dad."

In an instant, Sasuke activated his Complete Body Susanoo again, the colossal form towering over the lake.

He could feel the power coursing through him — the strength enhanced by Hashirama's cells.

My chakra reserves, my vitality, even my recovery speed… all far beyond before.

Meanwhile, in Naruto's mindscape, Kurama's voice rumbled.

"Fighting Sasuke again, huh? You haven't gone all-out since Toneri. Let's go Tailed Beast Mode already!"

Naruto smiled. "Sorry, Kurama. I kinda want to test out my new jutsu first."

"Wood Release again?" Kurama grumbled. "Bah! That pathetic plant trick can't compare to my power!"

Naruto chuckled. "Don't be like that. I'll try this first. If it doesn't work, I'll go full Tailed Beast Mode, deal?"

"Hmph. Do what you want," Kurama snorted.

Naruto clapped his hands together. "Alright then. Sorry for the wait, Sasuke!"

"Wood Release: Armored Nine-Tails!"

The lake churned violently as a massive wooden Nine-Tails rose from the water, its body wrapped in dense wooden armor — a modified version of the Wood Golem Jutsu, reshaped into Kurama's form.

Sasuke blinked, momentarily stunned.

In Naruto's mind, Kurama shouted, "Oh, come on! Not only are you skipping my chakra, but you're copying me with wood?!"

Naruto laughed. "C'mon, Kurama! The Nine-Tails form looks cooler than a wooden golem — and it's easier to control!"

Kurama groaned. "You're impossible."

On the lake, the two titans faced off — Susanoo and the Armored Wood Nine-Tails — their energy shaking the entire valley.

Sasuke's Susanoo raised its sword, the blade gleaming as it touched the water's surface.

"Naruto!"

Sasuke surged forward, the giant blade slashing down.

Naruto's wooden Nine-Tails' eyes flared gold as he shouted back,

"Sasuke!"

Their attacks collided — and the Valley of the End erupted once more.
