"How is that possible? He actually managed to create fifteen Shadow Clones at once!" Saiba exclaimed in disbelief.
"Is he still a Genin? Even a Jonin would find it difficult to create that many clones!" Makiba echoed, equally shocked.
"Don't panic. The number of clones doesn't mean everything. Don't lose your focus," Takiba reminded them calmly.
At that moment, Tenten—watching the electronic screen intently—couldn't help but look dazed when she saw Boruto create fifteen clones at once.
"As expected of Naruto's son… he can create that many clones."
Boruto stood confidently with his arms crossed. "Alright, I have a question for you. Can these clones use Ninjutsu?"
"What do you mean? After creating that many clones, you're saying they can still perform Ninjutsu?" Takiba asked in disbelief.
He hadn't expected Boruto to not only make so many clones but also that his clones could use Ninjutsu. Judging by Boruto's serious expression, this wasn't a joke.
"What should we do, Sanka?" Saiba asked nervously.
"I'll ask again," Boruto said firmly, "can these clones really use Ninjutsu?"
The Sanka triplets froze in place, cold sweat trickling down their foreheads.
Boruto shrugged. "Forget it, I'll choose for you—it's no Ninjutsu."
"Don't worry about these Shadow Clones! Just go for the flag!" Takiba shouted. He tossed a smoke bomb, and thick smoke filled the rooftop instantly.
Using the cover of the smoke, the three brothers rushed toward the red flag.
However, Boruto's fifteen Shadow Clones were faster. The moment the smoke spread, they'd already surrounded the Sanka brothers completely.
"Damn it! This speed!" Saiba roared.
"Water Release—!" Makiba began forming hand signs, but before he could finish, one of Boruto's clones kicked him squarely in the chest.
Bang!
Makiba hit the ground hard, dust flying everywhere. Before he could get up, several clones had already surrounded him.
Seeing things turn bad, Takiba quickly drew his long sword and swung at one of the clones. But Boruto's clone had already anticipated the move.
It dodged easily and counterattacked, while the other clones pressed from every direction, leaving Takiba overwhelmed.
Within moments, the Sanka brothers were completely outmatched by Boruto's Taijutsu. They couldn't even fight back.
Meanwhile, Sarada had successfully captured the flag—Boruto's team had won.
When Sarada and Mitsuki returned, the Sanka brothers were already collapsed on the ground, completely defeated.
"I didn't expect the triplets to not even guard the flag," Sarada said, amused.
"Meeting us, guarding it or not doesn't matter," Mitsuki said coolly.
"That's true," Sarada nodded.
Later, in the rest area, Sarada smiled as she held Sumire Kakei's hand. "Congratulations, Sumire—you've advanced."
"Mm," Sumire replied softly with a smile.
"So only Iwabe's team lost?" Sarada asked, looking at the exhausted Iwabe and his teammates.
"Yeah," Iwabe sighed. "That guy Shinki was too strong. We didn't stand a chance."
"Right, that Shinki from the Hidden Sand Village can control Iron Sand. We couldn't do anything against him," Denki added, equally defeated.
"Shinki's my uncle's adopted son," Shikadai explained. "His strength is really high."
"Gaara's son?" Boruto said, surprised.
That night, Sarada lay resting in Boruto's arms and whispered, "Boruto… go stay with Sumire tonight."
"Sarada, not this again. Sumire and I aren't like that," Boruto said helplessly.
"Fine. If you don't go, I won't come over tomorrow. I'll go to Sumire's place instead," Sarada said, pretending to be annoyed.
"Sarada, what are you talking about?" Boruto asked, confused.
"Sumire's home alone every day. I'm just worried she's lonely," Sarada said with a teasing smile.
"Okay, okay. I'll go stay with her—but only if you come too," Boruto grinned.
"There you go again," Sarada huffed, blushing. "You wish."
Then she said suddenly, "Why don't you just go stay with Sumire tonight?"
"Sarada, what's gotten into you?" Boruto frowned, noticing she seemed off.
"What's wrong with me? I just…" Sarada's cheeks turned even redder.
"I don't care," she interrupted. "You have to stay with Sumire tonight."
Before Boruto could respond, Sarada activated her Mangekyō Sharingan. A ripple of space appeared around them—then both vanished from the room.
In an instant, they appeared on the bed in Sumire Kakei's room.
"Boruto, just stay with her tonight. I'm going back." Sarada used her Space-Time Ninjutsu again and disappeared.
Boruto sighed, rubbing his forehead. He glanced around the small but neat room. A familiar black jacket hung on the wall—it was his.
"Has Sumire not come home yet?" he muttered.
Just then, the door creaked open, and Sumire stepped in, still in her training clothes, faint traces of sweat on her skin.
She froze when she saw Boruto sitting on her bed in his pajamas, blushing furiously. "Bo–Boruto! Why… why are you on my bed?"
"Uh… Sarada insisted I stay with you," Boruto said, scratching his head awkwardly.
"Ah…" Sumire's face turned a deeper shade of red. She looked down, fidgeting with her hands, her heart pounding wildly.
Boruto chuckled softly but also felt a bit uneasy. "Sumire, maybe I should go back."
As he turned to leave, Sumire suddenly said, "Don't go, Boruto. Can you… talk with me for a bit?"
Boruto stopped, looked into her shy but determined eyes, and sighed. "Alright."
Sumire's heart raced even faster. "Um… I'll go take a bath first," she stammered, covering her face before hurrying to the bathroom.
Inside, she splashed water on her face, muttering, "What should I do? Boruto's here… what do I do?"
After calming herself, she took a few deep breaths and came out freshly bathed, her long purple hair still damp and draped over her shoulders. Tiny droplets sparkled in the light, and her cheeks glowed faintly pink.
"Boruto, I've kept you waiting," she said softly.
"It's okay, Sumire. Take your time," Boruto replied with a warm smile.
She sat beside him, the air between them filled with quiet tension.
"Boruto," she began gently, "did Kui like the birthday present I gave her?"
"Yeah. She really did," Boruto said, smiling.
"Really? That's great." Sumire's smile brightened.
The two chatted casually as the night deepened. Moonlight streamed into the room, wrapping them in silver light.
Before long, they both leaned back on the bed, resting back-to-back.
Sumire turned slightly, gazing at Boruto's back, her heart swelling with quiet warmth.
"Thank you, Sarada," she whispered to herself.
Then she leaned forward, wrapping her arms gently around Boruto and whispering, "Boruto… thank you for staying with me tonight."
