"Contact the Boss," Bucciarati said in a deep voice.
"Alright!" Narancia exclaimed excitedly, "The Boss will definitely praise us this time, and Bucciarati will be one step closer to becoming an executive!" With that, he immediately ran into the helicopter to retrieve the computer used to contact the Boss.
"Wait, Narancia! I think it's better not to tell the Boss."
Giorno Giovanna suddenly spoke. The wind on the sea was strong, and the daylight had already faded, with a chilling cold rising from the ocean.
Giorno Giovanna's voice spread out due to the vast ice surface, sounding somewhat abrupt, carrying the pervasive chill of the ice and flowing with the wind.
"What are you saying, new guy?" Abbacchio asked, somewhat annoyed. Abbacchio particularly disliked Giorno; even Giorno's breathing was wrong in his presence.
Giorno didn't even look at Abbacchio, instead speaking to Bucciarati's back: "Bucciarati, I have something to say to you privately."
Bucciarati turned around and looked deeply at Giorno.
"Hey! Giorno!" Narancia angrily pointed at Giorno, "Are you trying to do something detrimental to us because Johnson Joffrey is your brother?"
"No, Narancia," Giorno calmly replied, "I've already said that my relationship with Johnson Joffrey is like items produced in the same factory; there's nothing special about it. I hope you can understand this clearly."
"Repeating the same words is pointless."
Giorno's calm and polite words left Narancia unable to retort, so he could only glare at him in frustration.
"Bucciarati…"
— — "Bang!!"
Fugo suddenly rushed over and punched Giorno in the left cheek. Giorno had to stumble back several steps.
"!"
Everyone was stunned.
Giorno's eyes widened in disbelief that Fugo would suddenly attack, but he quickly calmed down, then reached out to wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth and straighten his clothes.
The incident was so sudden that no one had time to react.
"Fu… Fugo, that was… too, too impulsive…" Mista said in shock.
"Fugo! What are you doing!" Bucciarati demanded sternly.
"You, kid, you want us to betray the Boss, don't you?" Fugo pointed at Giorno and questioned, "I'm very suspicious of your relationship with Risotto now. You're not his nephew, are you?"
"We have no way out," Fugo declared loudly, "We can only continue to follow the Boss's method. The Boss might trust us, or he might just kill us to silence us after it's over. The urgent task now is to make the Boss move forward on that path."
"Betraying the Boss only leads to death."
"In this situation, Giorno, you punk," Fugo's voice was wild, but his analysis was still well-reasoned, "You're very special to Bucciarati, so you want to use him to kill the Boss, right?"
"Enough, Fugo!" Bucciarati ordered angrily, his brow furrowed, but Fugo ignored him.
"My temper always hurts my friends…" Fugo had once said to Bucciarati when he first came to him. "But today, my anger is to protect my friends."
"You, Narancia, and Abbacchio."
"I'm angry because my friends are being self-righteous fools."
"If it were anyone else, it would be fine," Fugo walked up to Giorno, poked him in the chest, and said loudly, "But you happen to be Johnson Joffrey's brother, and I'm very suspicious of you right now."
Bucciarati's Team fell into a long silence. On the vast ice, like the cracks that appeared since Ghiaccio left, Bucciarati's Team began to crumble like shattered ice.
What Fugo said wasn't wrong. The Boss ruled the entire Passione organization through fear. To all members, the Boss was invincible.
Giorno had nothing to say. Fugo's analysis was completely reasonable. For Bucciarati's Team, there was no need to betray the Boss. Giorno's true goal was merely to change Italy, to change the mafia. If he could climb to the highest echelons of the mafia, he could also achieve this goal.
Between the Boss believing them or silencing them, Fugo chose to believe the Boss.
But for Giorno, a mysterious intuition told him that the Boss was absolutely untrustworthy. Secretly concealing that he had already learned the Assassination Team's secret, he could seek cooperation with the Assassination Team while preserving his own goals.
But it was as if something was stuck in his throat. The constantly whistling sea wind swirled over the ice, crashing into him. Every word from Fugo was like a distant knocking sound, gently tapping at his mind.
He sought a greater cause, while Fugo only wanted to protect his foolish friends.
"My dream of changing Italy and becoming a mafia superstar should not make Bucciarati's Team pay with their blood."
"But Bucciarati is my closest friend, my confidant. He understands and shares the same dream as me."
"Bucciara…"
"Stop calling him!!!" Fugo suddenly interrupted Giorno, roaring at the thirteen-year-old child, though he himself was only fourteen.
Giorno looked at Fugo in surprise.
"Fugo," Bucciarati stretched out his hand, his voice trembling as he called his name, "Stay away from Giorno… Calm down…"
Fugo looked at his comrades with some surprise, then followed their gaze to his side.
—[Purple Haze]
His purple Stand panted as agitatedly as he did, saliva dripping from its mouth, occasionally emitting a beast-like growl from deep within its throat. Fugo watched Purple Haze silently, as if the strength of his anger had been completely drained… He calmed down.
He walked to one side, and Purple Haze followed him, but then disappeared into the darkness.
At this moment, the two strategists in Bucciarati's Team were in full dispute.
One believed the Boss was untrustworthy and should be overthrown, letting the Boss and the Assassination Team kill each other first.
The other believed the Boss was invincible, and going against him was going against all of Italy. They should perform well now, making the Boss think they were useful, and perhaps survive after the matter was over.
Although both of these strategists were only thirteen or fourteen years old.
Bucciarati fell silent, but they didn't have much time left to consider.
Should they tell the Boss all the information about the Assassination Team and their destination, or should they remain silent and wait for the Assassination Team and the Boss to fight it out?
Time was running out.
The Assassination Team is about to arrive in Olbia.
The boss's true hometown.

I've always felt that Fugo's choice was the right one. Honestly, King Crimson was too much like Dio; he was unbeatable. If Giorno hadn't suddenly unleashed his full power... predicting the future + deleting time, only time-manipulating powerhouses like Dio and Jotaro could defeat him in a one-on-one fight. Even the Assassination Team working together would have a hard time, because he could delete time. You'd know he could delete it, but you still couldn't beat him.
Bucciarati's final decision to betray the boss was still due to his kindness; he didn't want Trish to die. He realized the boss was going to kill his own daughter, which was utterly despicable, and that's why he decided to betray him.
Bucciarati's Team, in the original story, had always shown loyalty to the boss, even sacrificing their lives to protect the boss's daughter and complete their missions. After all, fighting the boss came at too great a cost. Although they ultimately won, Abbacchio, Narancia, and he himself all died.
