On the other side—about seven steps behind Rian—stood Rias and Akeno, silent observers under the night sky.
Akeno wore a red-and-white miko outfit, the traditional shrine maiden attire, which contrasted beautifully with her long black hair fluttering gently in the night breeze.
Though both girls emanated clear demonic energy, their demeanor was calm—almost amused—as if they were watching an entertaining show.
And it wasn't without reason. Out of curiosity, they had deliberately decided to let Rian confront the three Fallen Angels alone.
After all, this was Rian's own request. And if anything happened to him, both devils could intervene in an instant.
Seeing the scene, the three Fallen Angels each reacted differently.
"A human… standing at the front? And you devils are letting him be your shield?" Mittelt chuckled bitterly. "You devils really know how to put on a show."
Kalawarner narrowed her eyes, her tone low but cutting. "Strange… he doesn't feel like an ordinary human."
"And those two devils aren't moving… they're just watching." Her gaze locked onto Rian, assessing him—trying to decide whether the man before her was merely bait… or the real predator.
Dohnaseek, on the other hand, remained calm. His voice was deep, measured. "A human standing among devils… and being tolerated by them? Clearly, something's off."
Rian gave a faint smile, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. The three Fallen Angels' eyes were fixed on him, their gazes sharp with curiosity and caution.
"Your lines sound so cliché," Rian said casually, as if chatting on a lazy afternoon. "Like villains stuck in a bygone era."
All three Fallen Angels scowled in unison. Before they could respond, Rian continued.
"Well then… listen up, you so-called villains." He pointed ahead, his expression calm and unshaken. "Step forward. I have an appointment with someone important."
Instantly, their anger erupted.
Mittelt gritted her teeth. "What did you just say?!"
Dohnaseek straightened his posture, the light spear in his hand trembling violently. "Such arrogance… from a mere human."
With rage clouding her face, Mittelt hurled her light spear. The weapon tore through the air—swift, sharp, and blazing—like a bullet of light shattering the night.
However, through Rian's Six Eyes, everything appeared to slow down—every particle of energy, every ripple in the air, visible in perfect detail, frozen like frames of time suspended mid-motion.
He tilted his body slightly, letting the spear of light pass harmlessly by his side.
Then his right hand moved—fast, precise, like a serpent striking its prey.
Rian caught the light spear with effortless grace, then hurled it back, amplifying its velocity with Blue, propelling it to an extreme speed.
In an instant, the spear of light pierced straight through Dohnaseek's head.
A deafening burst followed—blood and fragments of flesh splattered outward, staining the faces of his two comrades.
A heavy silence settled in the air... before the metallic scent of blood and death began to spread between them.
Dohnaseek's body collapsed to the ground.
"Eh...?" Mittelt froze, her eyes wide with disbelief.
The two remaining Fallen Angels stood motionless, horrified, unable to utter a single word.
On the other hand, Rias and Akeno were equally stunned—their eyes filled with both intrigue and astonishment.
The two devil women knew, from Rian's own explanation of Infinity, that the man standing before them possessed a power beyond comprehension.
Yet, what they hadn't realized... was that Rian's physical strength was just as extraordinary.
A cold wind swept gently through the trees, rustling the leaves and deepening the eerie stillness that hung in the air.
The glow of Rian's Six Eyes—bright blue, clear yet frozen like a winter lake—gazed at them without a trace of emotion.
"What's wrong?" Rian's calm, level voice broke the silence. His tone was casual, even bored. "Is that all? Oh, come on… you're weaker than I thought."
Kalawarner gritted her teeth, fury twisting her expression. "You bastard! How dare you use our comrade's attack against us!"
Rian merely shrugged, as if the matter didn't concern him in the slightest.
Mittelt remained frozen, still in shock and unable to move, while Kalawarner lunged forward at high speed—her spear of light slicing through the air with murderous intent.
However, the tip of the spear stopped—only twenty centimeters away from Rian's body.
It couldn't pierce through. It was halted perfectly by an invisible wall—the infinite barrier of Infinity.
After all, it was merely a spear infused with light energy. Even if it contained a purifying property that opposed Cursed Energy, Rian could still handle it thanks to his Heavenly Restriction.
The Heavenly Restriction placed upon his Six Eyes elevated the Limitless Technique to an even higher level.
Thus, unless Rian's opponent possessed the ability to pierce the concept of space itself—or kill the very concept of existence—his Infinity would remain absolute.
(Author's note: Simply put, to counter Rian, one would need the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, similiar power of Space Stone or Reality Warping.)
Rian had understood this deeply through his intensive training within the Infinity Room Training Facility.
"A barrier?!" Kalawarner shrieked, her eyes widening in disbelief. "How?! There's no magic circle at all! Then… what is this? A Sacred Gear? But which one?!"
She immediately tried to retreat to a safe distance—but her body wouldn't move at all, as if trapped in thick, invisible mud.
"Sorry," Rian said casually, his tone almost playful. "Once you attack, you're not allowed to run away, you know..."
The next second, Rian's right fist shot forward. A deafening boom echoed through the forest, the ground beneath his feet cracking from the sheer force.
His punch landed squarely on Kalawarner's chest with pinpoint precision—shattering her ribs and forcing a mouthful of blood to erupt from her lips.
Her body was sent flying, crashing through several trees in a straight line, while the blood she spewed was halted midair by the invisible field of Infinity.
Yet what Rian unleashed wasn't just an ordinary punch. It was a strike layered with concentrated energy, focused perfectly at a single point on Kalawarner's chest.
The impact force was estimated at one ton, and the kinetic energy was equivalent to being hit by a bus traveling at 300 kilometers per hour.
Because the attack was launched from such close range, the Fallen girl's ribs were crushed instantly.
Kalawarner's consciousness faded in an instant—her heartbeat stopped. With a single, clean strike from Rian, she died before she could even react.
High above, Mittelt—hovering in the air—broke into a cold sweat, as if she could hear a soft yet deadly whisper brushing against her ear.
Panic overtook her. She spun around and bolted, flying as fast as she could to escape.
Seeing the last Fallen Angel flee, Rian sighed. "Haah… why is she running away? Guess Ophis-chan will have to wait a little longer," he muttered to himself.
Without wasting another moment, Rian took a swift step forward, quickly pursuing the terrified Mittelt.
Meanwhile, Rias and Akeno, who had watched everything unfold from beginning to end, remained silent.
Yet within that silence, a dangerous thought briefly crossed Rias's mind—a thought about how she might make Rian hers.
To Rias, Rian was both dangerous and captivating—something that could never be controlled, only respected… or avoided.
Yet, if she could somehow make him hers, Rian would become her greatest strength—
surpassing her Knight, her Queen, and perhaps even the King herself.
But Rias knew there was a heavy price behind that desire. If she ever tried to force an Evil Piece onto him, the one who would break might not be Rian… but herself.
She understood all too well—her power would never be enough to turn Rian into a servant. Even if she had met him before Issei, even if she used all eight Pawns, it still wouldn't be enough.
Akeno smiled faintly, as if she could read the thoughts inside Rias's heart. "Rias… I know what you're thinking."
Rias raised an eyebrow slightly, then let out a quiet sigh. "So you noticed, huh? As expected of my Queen."
Her gaze drifted into the distance before she continued softly, "Unfortunately… my power will never be enough to reincarnate someone like Rian."
Akeno stepped closer, her warm eyes meeting Rias's gaze as she gently placed a hand on her King's shoulder—a quiet gesture of comfort.
"Thank you, Akeno," Rias said softly, a faint smile tugging at her lips.
But within that smile lingered something subtle… a mix of admiration, fear, and an unshakable curiosity.
Moments later, Rian returned—calm and unhurried, as if nothing had happened.
In his left hand, he dragged the lifeless body of Mittelt, a deep gash carved across the Fallen Angel's chest. In his right, he carried the corpse of Kalawarner.
His footsteps echoed steadily, rhythmic and composed—a chilling contrast to the gruesome sight that followed behind him.
