Feast and the Fragrance of Peach Blossoms

After the coronation and wedding ceremony concluded, the grand hall of the palace slowly transformed into a warm and joyful feast. Red lanterns swayed gently, reflecting the flickering candlelight upon the gilded walls. The fragrance of peach blossoms and incense filled the air, mingling with the aroma of red rice wine carried by the servants.

Nobles and court officials approached one by one, bowing respectfully and offering their congratulations to Huang Shang Xiao Yi Feng and Huang Hou Zhang Zu Er. Their voices overlapped in polite harmony, adding to the lively yet refined atmosphere.

"Congratulations on Huang Shang's coronation and marriage. May the empire forever prosper," said the Second Prince with a courteous smile.

Zu Er lowered her head gracefully, a soft smile adorning her lips. "Thank you, Your Highness. May virtue always bless this empire," she replied, her voice calm yet dignified.

As the flow of congratulations continued, the guests began presenting traditional gifts silver boxes filled with jewelry, fine porcelain vases, luxurious silks, and rare spices or teas from their respective regions. Huang Shang and Huang Hou received each offering with grace, bowing their heads slightly in gratitude while the servants neatly arranged the gifts upon the prepared tables.

Then, servants distributed porcelain cups filled with red rice wine, according to the royal wedding custom. Huang Shang Xiao Yi Feng raised his cup first, his gaze falling on Huang Hou Zhang Zu Er.

"To a new day, and to the glorious future of our empire," he said in a low but warm tone.

Zu Er responded with a gentle nod, her cup lightly touching his. The porcelain clinked softly a simple sound, yet full of meaning. "To our happiness, and the prosperity of the empire," she whispered. Her eyes glimmered with relief and warmth, feeling the union of love and duty merge within that single moment.

Soft laughter and polite murmurs filled the hall. A few young nobles exchanged glances, quietly admiring the new Huang Hou's grace, though maintaining decorum. In the corner, servants presented trays of traditional wedding delicacies sweet rice cakes, dried fruits, and fragrant peach blossom tea enhancing the festive atmosphere.

A breeze from the palace courtyard carried the scent of peach blossoms and incense, spreading warmth throughout the hall. The red lanterns and candlelight danced upon the golden walls, casting sacred, elegant shadows. Huang Shang Xiao Yi Feng stood tall, while Huang Hou Zhang Zu Er at his side smiled softly, aware that today they celebrated imperial joy yet responsibility and intrigue still awaited behind the silken veil.

The feast continued with songs and traditional music: guqin, pipa, and small drums accompanied the laughter and refined conversations. Each raised cup of wine was not merely a symbol of celebration but a binding of alliances, friendships, and hopes for a peaceful future of the empire.

Amidst the festivity, Zhang Zu Er glanced at Huang Shang, her eyes speaking more than words ever could. She knew that though today brimmed with happiness and tradition, her path as the new Huang Hou would be laden with great responsibility but for now, she simply wanted to savor this moment of warmth and peace.

The silken veil shut out the world beyond. Red candlelight flickered upon the golden walls, spreading warmth throughout the bridal chamber. The fragrance of peach blossoms and incense filled the air, creating a sacred yet intimate atmosphere.

Huang Hou Zhang Zu Er stood before Huang Shang Xiao Yi Feng, her heart pounding wildly. Tonight was not merely a ritual it was the meeting of two young souls set ablaze. Huang Shang stepped closer, their eyes locking, igniting a spark of tenderness and passion.

"Zu Er… I want you to feel safe," Huang Shang whispered, his voice low and filled with care. "But tonight… I want us to truly know each other, in our own way."

Zu Er drew a breath, her cheeks flushed, yet her gaze remained steady. "I… am ready, Huang Shang."

Huang Shang slowly reached for her face, his thumb brushing against her warm cheek. Their lips met soft at first tracing curiosity and newly awakened desire. The touch sent tremors through her, a blend of nervousness, warmth, and wonder she had never known before.

"Every second with you… feels like something I've waited far too long for," Huang Shang Xiao Yi Feng murmured, lowering his face until their hair nearly touched.

Zu Er responded by clutching his robe, drawing him slightly closer. Their lips met again, deeper this time, accompanied by gentle sighs heard only by them. Their embrace grew tighter, two young bodies seeking warmth, releasing the yearning that had built up through the long ceremonial day.

"Huang Shang… don't… don't stop," Zu Er whispered, her voice faint yet resolute, filled with courage and the same burning longing.

Huang Shang smiled softly, yet with unmistakable passion. He lowered his gaze to her neck, pressing a tender kiss that made her shiver. "I will make you feel… safe, and desired, Zu Er," he said while holding her closer.

Within the warmth of the silken veil, the fragrance of peach blossoms and incense surrounded them, accompanying every sigh, every kiss, every embrace. That night was not merely a ritual it was the union of two young souls meeting in passion, attraction, and trust. Their first night was a bond beyond vows a connection of hearts and longing.

The night deepened, yet the warmth within the bridal chamber never waned. The red candles flickered gently, casting a soft glow upon the silk-draped walls, illuminating Huang Hou Zhang Zu Er's blushing face and Huang Shang Xiao Yi Feng's calm yet impassioned expression. The scent of peach blossoms and incense lingered, as if celebrating their first night together.

Huang Shang held Huang Hou closer, his embrace firm yet tender, carrying restrained desire. Their lips met once more, deeper this time a kiss that explored curiosity and longing, yet remained gentle, elegant, and full of reverence.

"Zu Er… I want you even closer," he whispered into her ear, his voice low and husky with emotion restrained throughout the day.

Zu Er lowered her head, catching her breath, then returned his embrace more tightly. "I… I want Huang Shang to feel it too," she whispered, her lips brushing his shoulder her gesture both brave and filled with yearning.

Huang Shang lowered his head, pressing soft kisses upon her cheek, then down her neck, making her tremble slightly. "Every second with you… feels far too short," he murmured, his breath warm, his hands encircling her waist, drawing her nearer.

The silken veil swayed with their movements, shaping a small world that belonged only to them. Huang Hou Zhang Zu Er closed her eyes briefly, feeling each touch and kiss ignite her curiosity and desire, yet wrapped in tenderness and trust.

"Tonight… is ours," Zu Er whispered again, her voice faint but every word burning brightly in the warm air.

Huang Shang smiled faintly, gazing into her eyes. "Yes, Zu Er… ours. No one else only you and me," he replied.

They held each other close, their bodies and souls entwined through a night of passion, warmth, and closeness. There were no excessive words only whispers, kisses, and embraces expressing the pure, fervent longing of youth. The silken veil, the red candles, and the fragrance of peach blossoms bore witness to a night of fire and elegance a wedding night forever remembered as the beginning of a bond deeper than vows, a night of passion both tender and consuming .
