Chapter 117 - Chapter 116: I Love to Challenge the Strongest!

During the next two days, Song Jie had originally planned to invite Mu Nujiao for another walk by the lake to relax.

But she told him she needed to go into seclusion for cultivation.

Song Jie didn't want to disturb her, so he decided to focus on his own training, strengthening both his body and magic.

He planned to raise his Summoning Element to the Intermediate Third Level as soon as possible—his three Summoned Beasts were already consuming too much magic energy.

Once in a cultivation state, time passed like flowing sand, and before he knew it, Challenge Week had arrived.

Song Jie left home and headed for the Pearl Institute.

The moment he reached the school gates, his phone rang—it was Mu Lei.

"Why aren't you here yet? We're all waiting outside," Mu Lei said.

"Waiting for me? What for?"

"To see how you're going to crush everyone, of course!"

"..."

Song Jie was speechless. This guy really had too much free time.

When Song Jie arrived at the arena, Mu Lei, Ding Yimian, and Huo Yumeng were already there, smiling as they greeted him.

"Why did you all come too?" Song Jie asked helplessly.

"There's no class today, so we came to watch your match," Huo Yumeng replied.

"Alright then," Song Jie said, nodding before walking with them into the arena.

Ding Yimian and the others went to the spectator stands, while Song Jie entered the Summoning Element participants' area.

At that moment, a fierce battle was already underway—two Summoned Beasts were clashing violently.

One was a massive wolf, the other a giant python. Judging from their strength, the python clearly had the upper hand.

Many students were seated in the stands, their eyes fixed on the fight.

Moments later, the wolf fell, and the python was declared the victor.

Song Jie turned to a nearby student and asked, "Excuse me, if I want to issue a challenge, are there any specific rules?"

"No real rules," the student replied. "You just need to tell the supervising teacher who you want to challenge."

"Thanks," Song Jie nodded.

The student studied him curiously. "You look new—are you from the Main Campus?"

"Yeah. I just transferred up from the Qing Campus," Song Jie said.

"I see," the student said. "Then you'd better start by challenging someone near the bottom of the rankings. The top fifty all have Servant-level Advanced Summoned Beasts."

"What about the top ten?" Song Jie asked.

"The top ten? All their Summoned Beasts are Warrior-level."

Song Jie nodded lightly, showing no hint of concern.

"The strongest among us," the student continued, pointing toward a tall young man, "is that guy—Lu Ziyou. One of his contracted beasts is already at the Great General level!"

In the Summoning hierarchy, Warrior-level beasts ranged from Minor General (basic Warrior) to Great General and finally to Advanced Warrior.

Once a Summoned Beast reached Great General level, Minor Generals didn't stand a chance—no wonder Lu Ziyou dominated the top spot.

Song Jie's eyes brightened. "Can I challenge him?"

"Huh?" The student blinked, certain he'd misheard.

"I said, can I challenge Lu Ziyou?" Song Jie repeated calmly.

"You… you want to challenge Lu Ziyou? The number one!?" the student stammered.

Song Jie nodded.

"Brother, are you serious?!"

"I'm serious."

"You're insane! You're just a new student! If you want to train, pick someone lower—you'll just get destroyed!" the student said earnestly.

Song Jie smiled faintly. "When I challenge someone, I either don't challenge at all—or I challenge the strongest."

The student sighed. "Everyone only gets one challenge per week. Higher-ranked challengers have priority. But since no one dares face Lu Ziyou, no one will contest your request."

"Got it. Thanks," Song Jie said, turning away.

"Wait, you're really—" The student's words cut off as he watched Song Jie stride directly toward Lu Ziyou.

The student sighed deeply. "Another one walking straight into a beating…"

Around the arena, whispers spread as people noticed Song Jie heading toward Lu Ziyou.

"Is that guy really challenging Lu Ziyou?"

"He looks unfamiliar. Must be new."

"Tsk tsk… there's going to be a good show today."

Everyone turned their attention to the approaching figure, eager for drama.

Moments later, Song Jie stopped in front of Lu Ziyou. "Excuse me, are you Lu Ziyou?"

The tall, pale-faced young man looked up. "I am."

"I want to challenge you," Song Jie said directly.

The entire area erupted into gasps.

Ever since Lu Ziyou had crushed every Summoning Element student in previous Challenge Weeks, no one had dared challenge him again.

And yet today—a newcomer had stepped forward!

"What's your ranking?" Lu Ziyou asked calmly.

"I just came from the Qing Campus. I don't have a ranking yet," Song Jie replied.

Lu Ziyou frowned. A newcomer with no rank wanted to challenge him?

"Have you thought this through?"

"I've thought it through."

A faint smirk appeared on Lu Ziyou's face. "Since you want to get beaten so badly, I'll grant your wish."

"Then thank you," Song Jie said sincerely.

The audience grew restless, murmuring in excitement.

They hadn't seen Lu Ziyou fight in a while, and everyone was eager to see how powerful his Summoned Beast had become.

In the stands, Mu Lei grinned when he saw Song Jie approach Lu Ziyou.

"Who's that guy? Song Jie's challenging him—must be strong, right?" Huang Xingli asked curiously.

"That's Lu Ziyou—the number one in the Summoning Element. What do you think?" Mu Lei replied.

"Ah!? Number one? Song Jie's challenging him? Won't he lose?" she said nervously.

"Do you really think someone like Song Jie would lose?" Mu Lei countered.

Huang Xingli fell silent, recalling how Song Jie had once single-handedly defeated over two hundred people and passed the Main Campus assessment with ease.

Ding Yimian, who sat beside them, added calmly, "He wouldn't do something he isn't confident about."

Her tone carried quiet certainty—she believed Song Jie would win.

Below, the crowd was buzzing with chatter.

"Who's that guy? He actually dares to challenge Lu Ziyou!"

"Must be another arrogant newbie. He'll get wrecked for sure!"

Lu Ziyou looked at Song Jie indifferently and said, "Since you're new, I'll just use my Dimensional Beast. Otherwise, they'll accuse me of bullying you."
