Chapter 928 - Chapter 928: The Phantom Demon of Divine Flames

"I add Chaos Summoning Beast to my hand."

Kira revealed the card he'd searched.

"Then, I Normal Summon 'Chaos Summoning Beast.'"

He slapped the monster onto the Duel Disk—a small, harmless-looking demon radiating an ominous vibe.

[Chaos Summoning Beast, ATK 0]

The bishop couldn't help but glance at it twice.

"Chaos Summoning Beast?" he muttered. "That aura is..."

"Chaos Summoning Beast's effect," Kira continued. "Tribute it to Special Summon—ignoring summoning conditions—one of the following monsters from my hand: 'Uria, Lord of Searing Flames,' 'Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder,' or 'Raviel, Lord of Phantasms!'"

As expected.

The bishop's eyes narrowed at the mention of those names. The congregation below stirred in shock.

The Three Sacred Beasts!

Though not as legendary as the Egyptian Gods at the pinnacle of Dueling, the Three Sacred Beasts were still famous. Especially with those rumors they could plunge the world into chaos and darkness, which only added to their mystique.

Their designs bore striking resemblance to the Gods, with matching theme colors. Uria, in particular, looked so much like Slifer the Sky Dragon that some believed they were distant relatives.

Because of these similarities, the rarely-seen Sacred Beasts became even more renowned.

"I tribute Chaos Summoning Beast to Special Summon—ignoring conditions!—"

Kira raised the card.

"The phantom demon who commands the fires of hell, who burns all schemes to ashes with blazing flames—

—Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, descend!"

It was as if the gates of hell were thrown open. An indescribable force surged from the underworld. Flames, like a beast unleashed after ages of captivity, erupted toward the sky, staining the world an ominous crimson.

Infernal flames with the power to incinerate everything. The ruler of hell manifested within the fire—a colossal red dragon, its body sheathed in living flame, its eyes deep as burning universes.

Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, summoned!

[Uria, ATK 0]

The congregation was thrown into greater chaos.

A Sacred Beast!

The legendary monster said to bring chaos and ruin if unsealed had appeared—right here, on their altar!

What did it mean?

Were the Sacred Beasts and their Evil God about to battle for supremacy?

The bishop said gravely, "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames. I never expected to see him in this era."

Uria let out a deep roar.

"Uria's attack points are determined by the number of Trap Cards in my graveyard—1,000 ATK per Trap." (Anime effect)

The real-life card is limited to Continuous Traps, but...

Bishop: "You have the Trap 'Armory Call' in your graveyard..."

But then he realized—

"Ah, the other Trap Card sent by 'Card Destruction' last turn."

"Exactly. My 'Card Destruction' also dumped another Trap," Kira said. "I have two Traps, so Uria's ATK is 2,000."

[Uria, ATK 0→2000]

"In front of Uria, all trap schemes are forbidden!" Kira snapped his fingers. "Trap Destruction!"

Uria let out a roar, unleashing an invisible sonic wave. The bishop's face-down Trap was forcibly flipped and shattered by the blast.

Trap Card—'Dimension Wall.' It would have reflected battle damage.

"I see," the bishop said coolly. "Gaining ATK from graveyard Traps and destroying backrow—Uria is the Sacred Beast who dominates Traps."

"Exactly. Once per turn, Uria destroys all your Trap Cards."

Uria lifted his head with pride, letting out a triumphant howl.

"And the 'Chaos Summoning Beast' I just tributed—its effect isn't over," Kira added. "If it's in the Graveyard, I can banish it to add the Field Spell 'Fallen Paradise' to my hand from my Deck."

Chaos Summoning Beast's shadow flickered and vanished. A card popped out of the deck, which Kira placed directly onto the field.

"The Sacred Beasts' domain—Field Spell 'Fallen Paradise,' activate!"

A pitch-black wasteland replaced the altar. Uria roared again, flames erupting around him. Thunder rolled across the sky, as if responding to the Sacred Beasts' power.

"Fallen Paradise can be activated if I control any of the Sacred Beasts. Once per turn, I can draw two cards."

Kira drew two more cards.

Bishop: "A powerful sustenance field. So this is also part of the Sacred Beasts' power?"

"Battle phase," Kira declared. "Uria, attack the face-down monster!"

Uria opened his jaws wide, spewing a fiery cannonball! The covered monster was flipped up and obliterated—a tiny sheep, unable to withstand the flames, instantly reduced to ashes.

[Scapeghost, DEF 0]

"Scapeghost, destroyed by battle, but its effect activates upon flip," the bishop said. "When it's flipped, I can Special Summon any number of 'Black Sheep Tokens' to my field. I have four open monster zones—so I summon four tokens."

Four tiny lambs appeared on the bishop's field, their eyes eerily hollow.

[Black Sheep Token, DEF 0]×4

"Four tokens at once—what a pain."

Kira remained calm, drawing two cards.

"I'll set two cards face-down and end my turn."
