At this moment, while still traveling through space, Cain had completely lost track of time.
The six characters glowing on his right wrist were also detecting the environment around him.
As Pokémon practically born for space, spatial energy was as easy for the Unown to handle as drinking water.
But, little by little, Cain noticed that his psychic power was beginning to deplete and regenerate with decreasing efficiency.
However, for some reason, he felt that within his body there was an inexhaustible flow of psychic power.
Closing his eyes and focusing on it, he discovered that the small sphere of highly concentrated psychic power that Lugia had left in his mind was constantly releasing energy into his body.
That sphere had already been providing energy continuously, although at a limited pace due to the body's capacity to withstand it.
With the Unown's constant help, Cain had been strengthening his psychic abilities rapidly, but now, for some unknown reason, the sphere had fully activated.
The release rate of energy increased tenfold, and yet, his body showed no signs of collapsing.
So Cain closed his eyes and focused on absorbing it at full speed.
In a short time, the amount of psychic power he had began to increase at an astonishing rate.
Simultaneously, the six Unown, apparently sensing something as well, began channeling the spatial energy from the tunnel into Cain's fragile body while he absorbed the psychic power.
Two types of energy flowing through his body at the same time made Cain feel completely split: the upper part of his body soaked in psychic power, the lower half in spatial energy.
At the point where both energies met, small collisions occurred that felt extremely uncomfortable.
Moreover, a human body is not designed to contain spatial energy. This uncontrolled energy ran wildly inside him.
Thanks to the Unown, he didn't suffer serious damage, but the discomfort was significant.
At the same time, the reddish-blue sphere of energy granted by Lugia also began releasing its blue portion, which had previously been kept sealed.
This blue energy did not merge with the body or cause chaos; instead, it moved directly to the point where the psychic power and spatial energy met.
Like a catalyst, under the coordination of the blue energy, the two incompatible energies began, miraculously, to fuse.
Cain, astonished, observed the changes inside his body. Beyond controlling a portion of his psychic power, he no longer had command over his body.
This made him feel powerless.
His body was being molded by external energies, and he didn't know if that was good or bad.
He had no choice but to endure it.
After an undetermined amount of time, the reddish-blue sphere in his mind began to shrink rapidly: from the size of a thumb, to a bean, then to a grain of rice, until it disappeared completely.
Without that constant supply of psychic power, spatial energy took precedence and eventually filled his entire body.
However, mysteriously, it no longer caused harm; rather, it seemed to move in an orderly manner inside him.
The Unown also stopped sending him energy.
Cain slowly regained control over his body.
He wasn't sure if it was just his imagination, but upon regaining control, he felt his body had become stronger.
Both his physical strength and muscle mass seemed to have improved.
When the spatial energy began to dissipate, a sensation of pain emerged clearly.
Before he could analyze it, a white crack appeared in front of him.
The transfer had ended!
It was like getting kicked: he was flung out of the spatial channel.
He couldn't stay on his feet and fell face-first to the ground.
Until that moment he hadn't realized what was happening, but as he exited space, a searing bodily pain pierced his brain.
An unbearable pain, as if he were being torn apart from the inside.
Lying on the ground, he couldn't even sit up; he lay on his back, twitching and clenching his teeth.
The veins on his forehead bulged while sweat poured out uncontrollably.
Strangely, this sweat had a foul smell and a blackish hue, as if it were mixed with ink.
With his eyes closed, Cain felt his mind clouding.
With his last spark of consciousness and bodily control, he barely managed to press a button on a Poké Ball on his belt to release a Pokémon. He didn't have time to see which one it was.
Once confirmed that the Pokémon had come out, he instantly fainted.
The Pokémon that appeared was none other than Tyranitar.
It was a random press, but turned out to be a strong Pokémon.
Upon appearing and seeing Cain lying on the ground, Tyranitar was alarmed, thinking they had been attacked.
But looking around, he saw they were in a vast meadow.
Although there were some Pokémon nearby, none seemed aggressive.
Worried, he looked at Cain, unsure of what to do.
Since he had been summoned, he understood that he had to protect his trainer.
After thinking for a bit, he decided not to act rashly and instead sat beside Cain, silently watching over him.
After a while, he noticed Cain's posture on the ground didn't seem very comfortable.
So, using his ability to control Ground-type energy, he summoned small grains of sand from the ground.
He created a sand bed that rose from below and carefully lifted Cain's body.
He even adjusted his posture so he could sleep more comfortably.
But what was the most comfortable sleeping position?
According to Tyranitar, it was definitely with the head and feet resting on the ground, hips raised, and body in a squatting position.
After all, ever since he was a Larvitar, he had always slept like that.
That was without a doubt the most comfortable position!
Convinced that he had done the best for his trainer, Tyranitar smiled widely and clapped proudly.
However, as he made the sand bed, some unexpected visitors were approaching them...
