Mega Diancie covered her mouth and laughed softly.
With a wave of her hand, a pile of shimmering pink diamonds condensed before Tyranitar and Aggron.
Before, although Diancie could create pink diamonds, it hadn't been this easy, and part of them would usually dissolve afterward because she hadn't completely mastered the move.
Now, however, not a single one showed any signs of dispersing—they were all perfectly stable pink diamonds.
According to the current market prices, that mountain of gems in front of Cain was easily worth tens of billions.
Nowadays, because of their rarity, the value of pink diamonds kept rising, though not as rapidly as before.
Leaving behind the envious Pokémon—and Tyranitar and Aggron, who were quite satisfied—Cain led Mega Diancie toward the Carbink caves in the back mountain.
When he had taken them from Mythical Island, he had promised to return in five years with the princess mentioned by the Carbink Minister. Now that he had fulfilled that promise, it was time to found the Carbink Kingdom.
Upon entering the cave, the walls were once again studded with diamonds.
Even so, the structure still looked somewhat rough.
The little Carbink, hard at work, dropped what they were holding the moment they saw Cain and Diancie enter, staring at them in shock. A sense of instinctive reverence stirred within them, though they couldn't understand why—they stood frozen in place.
The Carbink Minister, using his special abilities, was the first to react. As soon as Cain and Diancie entered, he gathered all the Carbink in the clan and hurried to greet them.
There were just over a hundred of them—not even two hundred. After leaving the island and living peaceful lives, their numbers hadn't changed.
That showed how slow their reproduction rate was without Diancie.
"Th-This... could it be... Lord Cain, is she...?" The Carbink Minister stared at Mega Diancie, unsure of what to say.
Cain smiled and nodded. "That's right. This is Princess Diancie, the one you've dreamed of. With her here, the Carbink Kingdom can finally rise."
Upon hearing this, the Carbink Minister led all the others to bow deeply, shouting solemnly, "We bow before Princess Diancie!!"
For a brief moment, Diancie remembered the time when she herself had been a Carbink, and she didn't know how to react. She felt confused and nervous.
At that moment, Cain's voice echoed in her mind.
"Everyone, rise. We are of the same tribe—there's no need for such ceremony."
Repeating Cain's words, Diancie calmed down. With him by her side, there was nothing to fear.
Cain turned to the Minister. "Let's put aside the formalities for now. Did you finish what I asked you to build?"
The Minister, supported by a few Carbink, stood up and nodded eagerly. "It's done, Lord Cain, Princess Diancie—please, follow me!"
Although he showed great respect toward Cain, he also felt a deep sense of awe. Even without a Pokémon by his side, the Minister could sense an intimidating aura from him. He didn't understand how such a small creature could possess such power, but he was deeply grateful for Cain's promise fulfilled—for bringing back their princess.
To them, Cain was already the most revered benefactor in the future history of the Carbink Kingdom.
Led by the Minister, Cain and Diancie reached the deepest part of the mountain, where a massive pit lay before them.
From the edge, they could see a stone column descending from above and a vast chasm yawning below.
Cain nodded in satisfaction—being Rock-type Pokémon, Carbink had an exceptional talent for excavation.
"Diancie, begin."
She nodded obediently, extending both hands. Instantly, pink diamonds began to sprout from her palms.
"Th-This... this is..."
The Carbink Minister burst into tears, unable to express in words what he was witnessing. But it was exactly the same as the visions that had appeared to him in his dreams.
Identical!
More and more pink diamonds spun and floated in a whirlwind before Diancie. The storm of gems illuminated the cave with a rosy glow, as waves of Fairy energy and life force radiated from her.
The whirlwind seemed to have a will of its own. Guided by the first diamonds that appeared, it began to repair the irregular and fragile sections of the cavern.
When the repairs were complete, the diamonds embedded themselves into the walls and pillars. Each one was identical in size, fitting together perfectly without a single gap.
Bit by bit, the cave transformed into a spherical chamber completely lined with pink diamonds.
Finally, Diancie gritted her teeth and released all her remaining energy. Under the command of one enormous octagonal diamond, all the others merged into a single colossal, pyramid-shaped crystal.
The moment it was completed, a surge of sacred energy burst from it, enveloping everything in an aura of peace and serenity.
That energy flowed along the diamond walls and pillars, gathered in the central column, and returned to the colossal crystal.
Beneath it, on a small platform, a new Carbink was being born.
That was the true core of the Diamond Kingdom—the source of life for all Carbink!
The Heart Diamond!
The Heart Diamond could only be created by a Diancie under special conditions. It was a gem capable of generating life itself, with power comparable to that of the divine creators.
"Th-That's... the legendary Heart Diamond?" The Carbink Minister burst into tears once more and immediately prostrated himself.
The other Carbink wept too, bowing alongside him.
At last, their tribe had an eternal foundation.
Mega Diancie smiled at the sight of the Heart Diamond's birth. But moments later, she stumbled slightly—the energy of Mega Evolution slowly faded from her body, returning her to her normal form.
The Minister panicked, fearing something had happened, but Cain explained that this was her true form. Only in that special state could she create the Heart Diamond.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
Diancie was now the greatest treasure of the Carbink tribe.
The Minister immediately ordered that the newborn Carbink beneath the Heart Diamond be brought up.
From now on, more would be born continuously, and as Carbink Minister, he would have much work ahead of him.
