Chapter 1590 - Chapter 1585: The Terror of Mewtwo!

"As expected of a Pokémon created from Mew's genes. I'm afraid I underestimated it a little," Kael said, his eyes gleaming as he looked at Mewtwo, which had shattered the psychic barrier without suffering the slightest damage.

Although his two Pokémon had not been injured either, it was still two against one. From the difference between the two sides alone, it was already clear who held the advantage.

After that first clash, Mewtwo returned to Giovanni's side and remained completely motionless. Unless Giovanni issued a mental command, it would not move. All of its instructions came from an earpiece-like device Giovanni wore, connected directly to his nervous system.

It was practically like a telepathic link: with a single thought, Mewtwo would act.

Saying that the current Mewtwo was Giovanni, and that Giovanni was Mewtwo, would not be entirely incorrect.

Only then was Cain finally able to scan Mewtwo's current data. Compared to what he had seen the last time, when it was still inside the cultivation capsule, its data had changed dramatically.

Pokémon: Mewtwo (Black) — Armored Form (without consciousness)

Seeing Mewtwo's data displayed before his eyes, Cain truly felt as though he had a sentence stuck in his throat, unsure whether he should say it or not.

He had never seen a Pokémon like this!

Never had he seen a Pokémon with such data. That extremely long list of moves made it seem as though learning moves cost nothing, although for Giovanni, money was nothing more than a number anyway.

But that was not the important point.

Everyone knew that, regardless of the Pokémon, from learning a move to being able to use it effectively in real combat required a very long process.

It was not that a Pokémon, upon learning a move, could immediately use it in real battle. In between there existed a process: learning how to use it, mastering it, refining it, and finally simplifying it until it became natural. And that process was one of the most important aspects of raising a Pokémon.

If that were not the case, for example, although people with enormous wealth were not extremely common, they certainly did exist. Steven himself, one of Cain's closest friends, certainly had no shortage of money.

And yet, Steven would never dare teach so many moves at once to one of his Pokémon.

After all, trying to learn too many things without mastering any would cause the Pokémon to become confused about the characteristics of its own moves. If it could not master them, then it would not truly know how to use them.

The best pace was always to first learn one or two moves, bring them to a solid level of mastery, and only then begin studying others.

As for ultimate simplification, that was an enormous undertaking. Some Pokémon might never reach that stage in their entire lifetime. It required not only extraordinary talent, but also an immense amount of time and training.

But this Mewtwo...

Since the last time Cain had seen it, only a little more than a month had passed. If one counted the time it still had to remain inside the nutrient tank, then from the moment it entered the real world, not even fifteen days had passed. And yet, it suddenly possessed so many moves...

And moreover, judging by the way it had previously shattered the psychic barrier of Mega Latios and Mega Latias, it seemed that it had already completely integrated all those moves. Perhaps it had not yet reached the level of turning complexity into simplicity, but at the very least it had achieved complete integration.

And most important of all, its level had suddenly risen to level 95, going from barely having the strength to tie a chicken to instantly becoming a Master Level Pokémon.

Even considering the talent of a first-tier legendary Pokémon, could its learning ability truly be this monstrous?

At this moment, its quality was still only Black. It was unclear whether Mewtwo had been born with a quality of that color, or whether, since it could not yet be considered a complete Mewtwo, its talent had not yet reached its maximum limit.

But in any case, the fact that a single Mewtwo could withstand two Master Level Pokémon already spoke for itself regarding how monstrous its strength was.

"But, Giovanni! With only one Mewtwo, I'm afraid it still won't be enough! Bring out your Beedrill and let me see what level it has reached now!" Kael shouted without showing the slightest fear.

Others might not know, but he knew very well that although Giovanni was known for using Ground-type Pokémon, his true signature Pokémon had always been Beedrill, his initial Pokémon.

Hearing those words, the corners of Giovanni's lips curled upward.

"If you want me to bring out Beedrill, first you'll have to let me see how strong you have become now. I want to know whether you possess the qualifications to become my rival."

A red glimmer also passed through his eyes, and the Mewtwo beside him moved once again. This time, it was no longer a simple test.

Not only did the psychic power surrounding Mewtwo surge, but suddenly, four small openings appeared in the back of the black armor it wore, from which four jets of air burst out, further increasing Mewtwo's already terrifying speed.

That Special Armor had been carefully designed by Blaine. Not only did it allow thoughts to be injected and controlled, but it was also connected to Mewtwo's nervous system, allowing the entire armor to respond freely with just a single thought.

Saying that the Special Armor was, at this moment, part of Mewtwo's own body would not be inaccurate.

After all, Mewtwo was artificial, and that armor was artificial as well.
