Chapter 46 - Finally Meeting Tang San.

The twin girls were each holding one of that double-pupiled man's arms. He didn't pay attention to Tang San, and when his gaze swept past Xiao Wu, a trace of strange light flashed in his eyes, but it disappeared in an instant.

Walking to the front desk, looking at the waiter, the youth said: "You're new, right? Don't you know there must always be one room reserved for me here?"

The waiter hurriedly bent down, "Sorry, Young Master Dai, you haven't come for a long time, I forgot."

Then he turned to Tang San and Xiao Wu, apologizing: "I'm very sorry, dear guests, really sorry. This room was already reserved by Young Master Dai, please choose another place."

Tang San frowned slightly. He didn't want to get into conflict with him. Letting it go was letting it go, there were plenty of hotels, this one didn't matter.

But Xiao Wu was unhappy, "Dog-eyes-look-down-on-people thing, don't think we're young so easy to bully. It's obviously us who booked the room first. I just won't give it up! What about it if I don't? Let him get lost!"

The double-pupiled man finally turned, his cold and sinister gaze falling on Xiao Wu. He nodded, "Very good, it's been a long time since anyone dared talk to me like this. I sense soul power from you too, so you must be soul masters. Then you two come together. If you can beat me, I will leave immediately. Otherwise, please perform the word 'roll.'"

Hearing his words, the twin girls beside him giggled foolishly, not nervous at all, obediently letting go of his arms and stepping aside.

At this moment, the waiter had already brought out a middle-aged man. He had clearly heard their conversation, face full of anxiety, "Everyone, calm down, calm down, please don't fight."

The double-pupiled man glanced at him, "Manager Wang, you've really gotten better at doing business, huh?"

Manager Wang wiped sweat and smiled apologetically, "Young Master Dai, please don't say that, it's all because my subordinate didn't do well. This kid came yesterday, he didn't know the rules. I'm sorry, very sorry. I will arrange a room for you immediately."

Dai Mubai snorted coldly, "Stop talking nonsense. He insulted me and wants to walk away? Fight. I'll cover all losses."

Xiao Wu had been the big sister of Notting Academy for years, when had she ever been humiliated like this? She was about to rush forward when Tang San pressed her shoulder, "Let me."

"Why? I want to beat him until he rolls!"

Tang San frowned, "A girl should speak cleanly. I said I will always protect you." He didn't let her fight because the opponent was strong; he was afraid Xiao Wu would get hurt. Even if he lost, he would never let Xiao Wu suffer grievance.

Hearing "I will always protect you," Xiao Wu's angry expression softened. She glanced at Tang San, "Then be careful."

"No need to argue. I already said you two can come together," Dai Mubai said impatiently, looking at the affectionate pair in front of him.

Tang San calmly stepped forward two steps, "Please advise."

Just then, a person walked in from the door, completely ignoring the tense atmosphere. He went straight to the counter, "Give me a room!"

This person wore snow-white clothes, long black hair hanging down to his waist, extremely graceful and unrestrained. His face was ordinary, but his deep black eyes were extremely beautiful, as if they could turn decay into magic, forcibly making that plain face filled with charm!

"Uh… sorry sir, we only have one room left, but this room is…" The waiter froze a moment and then smiled bitterly. Though unfinished, his meaning was obvious when looking at the scene about to explode between Tang San and Dai Mubai.

"So that's how it is…" The black-haired youth nodded, then turned to look at Tang San and Dai Mubai, "You two are fighting over this room?"

"Hmph! You want this room too?" Dai Mubai already disliked the youth who ignored him. With arms crossed, he snorted, "Fine, you look like a soul master too. Beat me and the room is yours."

"Beat you? You sure you want to fight me?" The black-haired youth — our protagonist Yun Chuan — showed an amused expression, "Fine, since someone wants a beating, I'll fulfill it."

A bit of interest first.

In his previous life reading the novel, Yun Chuan already disliked this evil-eyed tiger who abandoned his fiancée and came here to indulge in debauchery.

In his view, a man being flirtatious was no big deal — he was also a flirt, so glass houses and stones. But being flirtatious wasn't the problem — at least have a man's responsibility. Abandoning your fiancée in a dangerous place and running off to fool around? How the hell is that something a man could do?

In Yun Chuan's eyes this cowardly man didn't deserve Zhu Zhuqing at all!

Because when Yun Chuan went to Shrek, Dai Mubai happened to be out having fun. So he had no idea the youth before him was a new teacher at the academy.

Seeing his young face and disdainful tone, Dai Mubai laughed angrily, "Good! I want to see how strong you are to dare say that! Hope your strength matches your mouth!"

Then—

"White Tiger, Possess!"

A fierce pale light exploded from him. Dai Mubai stretched his arms, chest raised, bones crackling, muscles swelling and tearing his clothes. Each muscle became super defined, even the air around him grew violent.

His golden hair instantly turned black-and-white, mostly white with a few black strands. Four pale lines appeared on his forehead, three horizontal and one vertical, forming the character "王" (king).

His hands grew twice their size, covered in white fur, sharp claws extending and retracting like blades, sparkling with cold light!

His torso leaned forward, eyes and pupils turned deep blue, like a killing machine. Three soul rings rose beneath him — two yellow, one purple — soul power surging like waves.

"A thousand-year soul ring." Xiao Wu gasped, relief flashing in her eyes — good thing she hadn't fought him.

This "Young Master Dai" already had three soul rings, and one was thousand-year. He looked only three or four years older than them.

Three soul rings meant over level thirty — a Soul Elder, and a battle-type beast soul elder.

"Dai Mubai, martial soul: White Tiger, thirty-seventh level Battle Soul Lord. Please advise." His voice carried domineering power.

Facing the overwhelming aura, Yun Chuan remained calm. After all, he was a level seventy-nine Soul Saint. Seven rings, all black — a true monster. Soul power comparable to a Titled Douluo. How could a mere level-thirty soul master move him?

His eyes were calm as water. He extended his hand, and a simple Blue Silver Grass appeared, "Tang Chuan, martial soul Blue Silver Grass. As for my level, I'm afraid saying it would scare you dumb, so I won't."

Xiao Wu tugged Tang San's hand, whispering, "Hey, Little San, his martial soul is also Blue Silver Grass! And his surname is Tang too, could you be brothers?"

"How is that possible?" Tang San said speechlessly. "Blue Silver Grass is recognized trash, and the most common martial soul. It has no uniqueness. Lots of people have it, though few become soul masters. This is my first time seeing another with the same martial soul."

After speaking, Tang San stared at Yun Chuan's Blue Silver Grass, feeling strange. When this youth walked in earlier, he felt an inexplicable closeness, as if he really was a family member. Too strange.

Seeing the same martial soul eased him — maybe that closeness was because of the same soul. He'd never met another Blue Silver Grass user. Suddenly encountering one would naturally feel familiar. Not strange. As for same surname… coincidence?

Seeing Yun Chuan reveal his martial soul but not his level made Dai Mubai feel insulted. His anger flared again!

Indeed, not reporting one's level in this world was disrespect. It meant he looked down on Dai Mubai and didn't even bother offering basic respect.

Dai Mubai laughed angrily, "Just Blue Silver Grass. A trash martial soul becoming a soul master is already luck. At most you're a Grand Soul Master. You probably don't say your level because you're afraid to embarrass yourself!"

"Think whatever you want. Are you fighting or not?"

Yun Chuan shrugged casually. He didn't care about Dai Mubai's hostility at all. Without Tang San's protagonist aura, this guy dreaming of becoming a god? Don't joke. He'd be killed by his brother early, dragging poor Zhu Zhuqing with him!

So from the start, Yun Chuan never planned to be friendly with him. The only reason he hadn't killed him was because he was too weak — no sense of achievement, would lower his style.
