How exactly should this Yu Xiaogang be dealt with?
On the surface, Yun Chuan, all smiles and amicable, chatted and laughed with the Shrek Academy students, but inwardly he was pondering how to avenge Bibi Dong.
In his view, Yu Xiaogang was a character with a contradictory personality.
The original work described him as "a wise man who, even without great strength, could earn the respect of the strong."

Regarding the character of Yu Xiaogang, Yun Chuan believes that the numerous praises in the original work are merely excessive exaggeration by the author to create this character. As a result, this excessive exaggeration leads to a rather awkward character positioning for Yu Xiaogang.
The author's original intention was probably to portray Yu Xiaogang as an encyclopedic character, but due to insufficient writing skill, Yu Xiaogang became a half-baked expert.
The knowledge Yu Xiaogang studies is quite reasonable, but it's only basic knowledge, which most advanced Soul Masters already know. When it comes to truly advanced knowledge, he's completely clueless.
Besides his knowledge, Yu Xiaogang's romantic relationships are also the most controversial aspect. Yun Chuan believes that Yu Xiaogang's real flaw isn't that he immediately found another partner after breaking up with Bibi Dong; that's not Yu Xiaogang's fault. The reason he asked Bibi Dong about twin martial souls was to teach Tang San, even though Yu Xiaogang knew Tang San was Tang Hao's son, since Tang Hao's name was on the Spirit Hall's wanted list.
Knowing that Tang San was the son of his enemy, he still chose to ask his ex-girlfriend about twin martial souls to help his ex-girlfriend's enemy—this action was truly outrageous.
Most importantly, this guy actually swore that Tang San wouldn't become an enemy of the Spirit Hall?
My god, is such a brainless statement even human?
Where does Yu Xiaogang get his confidence?
Does he really think he's Tang San's biological father just because Tang San said "A teacher for a day is a father for life" when he knelt down to become his disciple?
Furthermore, Yu Xiaogang clearly hates the Spirit Hall, yet he still acts as an elder everywhere, even openly defying the Pope during the Spirit Master Competition. It just goes to show that those who are favored are indeed fearless! Of course, the main reason Yu Xiaogang dared to do this, besides assuming Bibi Dong still held onto their past relationship, was because he possessed the Pope's Decree.
But actually, while the Pope's Decree seems powerful, the Spirit Hall could easily refuse to recognize it if they wanted to.
In the original story, the reason the Pope's Decree was useful to Yu Xiaogang was because Bibi Dong remembered their past relationship and didn't want him to be in danger. She even used her position as Pope to help him out of awkward situations on several occasions. Otherwise, someone as useless and arrogant as him would have been beaten to death by the Spirit Hall countless times over.
Regardless of whether Yu Xiaogang knew he was being favored, he consistently enjoyed the benefits this relationship brought him.
The original author wanted to portray Yu Xiaogang as a deeply affectionate character, even using Liu Erlong's devotion to highlight his own. However, after reading the entire story, Yun Chuan found that Yu Xiaogang's contribution to this relationship was minimal. It was almost entirely one-sided sacrifice from both girls.
For example, after Bibi Dong was violated, she wanted to end her life. Only when Qian Xun threatened Yu Xiaogang's life did she have no choice but to prolong her existence. She sacrificed herself to save Yu Xiaogang's life.
As for Liu Erlong, she waited for him for over twenty years, wasting the best years of her life. She gave her precious youth, just to wait for him to change his mind.
What did Yu Xiaogang do to deserve such sacrifice from two girls?
What did he do to deserve it?
This guy has three flaws: First, he lacks strength, his soul power level remaining stuck at level 29 for life. Second, he lacks knowledge; some of his knowledge about martial souls is incorrect, so he can't be considered a strategist. Third, he's not affectionate. Would a truly affectionate person ask his ex-girlfriend about twin martial souls and then teach it to the son of her enemy?
Therefore, Yu Xiaogang's character is very contradictory. He enjoys the benefits brought by his ex-girlfriend but only thinks about how to help his disciple. While reading the novel, it's understandable; the author's inconsistency can be explained.
But now that the novel's content has become a real world, his actions are truly utterly despicable! He deserves to be beaten to death.
In Yun Chuan's eyes, Yu Xiaogang is undoubtedly a deceitful and scumbag!
To be honest, when Yun Chuan saw Yu Xiaogang, he actually felt murderous intent! After all, just the fact that this guy is Bibi Dong's ex-boyfriend and first love is enough for him to be sentenced to death. Not to mention the awful things he did in the original work.
So… why not just kill this guy right here?
