Cling
The sound of two blades clashing resounded, sparks of light flew in the air like dust particles born from fire.
Enzo and Thane exchanged a plethora of blows, each aimed at doing the most damage to the other party. Every clash felt like the crossing between life and death.
'He's matching me!! What is going on?!'
Thane looked panicked as he exchanged blows with Enzo, this kid that he had trained was already equalling him in terms of skill? How many weeks had it been? This was too much of a change.
'No I can't let this be, I won't let him replace me!!'
Thane gritted his teeth,
Not only was Enzo taking his place in Victoria's life, he was taking his identity and fighting style. It was driving him insane. He wanted nothing more now than to kill Enzo, and rid himself of this stain.
[Zombie Corrosion]
All of a sudden he released a cloud of corrosive gas that rushed forward invading Enzo's lungs. This instinct forced him to jump back to avoid taking in more gas.
'Fast, I have to be fast'
Thane seeing the distance quickly pulled out a syringe and Pierced it into his neck, he wouldn't let Enzo win this, even if it meant his death.
"You think you know what the real deadman codex is about? Now let me show you what it means for a dead man to have no option but to fight" Thane smiled bitterly.
What he had taught Enzo was a watered down fighting technique, the real codex was much more brutal, far surpassing a mere fighting technique.
The blood vessels in Thane's body suddenly came alive, his body twisting and becoming shriveled like that of a mummified corpse.
His skin turned black and veins in his body began to bulge like the throbbing of a volcano.
"Hm?" As Enzo watched this change he suddenly noticed the initial cloud of corrosive smoke began to expand at a frightening rate, quickly covering half the area, and spreading fast.
'What the hell?'
He was immediately forced to retreat to the bank of the blood pool to escape it, as he watched rocks around the smoke cloud erode and turn into dust before his very eyes.
"I can't let him spread that into the pool"
Enzo said to himself with clenched fists, that thing was destruction to whatever it touched, if it joined as a factor in Victoria's fight….it might tilt the stage of their battle.
This was Thane's last trump card….mutual destruction.
[White Radiance]
Enzo's body was immediately covered in a white light as the covers of his skeleton bioamour went up one after the other.
He would have one chance, he had to enter the cloud of corrosive gas and assassinate Thane in one fell swoop. The durability of the amour was great but under constant pressure it would be unlikely for it to hold.
He had to do all of this in a single breath.
"Now!!" Enzo leaped into the air with incredible strength, forcing him to push to the top the gas cloud.
As soon as he reached the peak of his jump Enzo's eyes scoured the corrosive cloud at incredible speeds, it didn't take long to locate Thane's lanky tall figure walking slowly through the cloud.
He was actively moving towards the blood pool thinking that Enzo had died from the initial blast of corrosion.
In the end he would be the ultimate Victor.
Or so he thought.
Enzo straightened his posture in mid air, slowly tilted his body downward as he began to descend in Thane's direction, like a falling meteor.
"Hm?" After walking a few more steps Thane noticed the air around the cloud part making him break into a smile.
"Good, I wanted to break you with my own hands," Thane said, tightening his grip as he punched forward, intercepting Enzo.
-boom!!
The cloud of corrosive gas temporarily parted as the two collided.
One an armored knight and the other a mummified corpse resembling a lich.

A successive exchange of blows resounded from within the smoke cloud as the two fought against each other with their bare fists.
Enzo desperately trying to stop the spread of the gas while Thane fully committed to killing Enzo. They were still matched in strength despite Thane's increase in strength….
But Enzo was still at a disadvantage….
The corrosion was taking its effect on his amour, it's healing effects could only last so much….and before long.
[Your Echo has been destroyed]
An announcement rang in his ear as his amour broke apart. Causing the corrosion to latch onto his skin and burrow into his flesh.
"Hahaha!! Let's see how…" Thane laughed trying to mock Enzo but was soon met with a vicious blow to the mouth, with the edge of a shield.
"I'm not done!!" Enzo barked
Despite the corrosive gas eroding his body, Enzo wasn't stopping. He was going to kill Thane, this was his last chance and he would do everything in his power.

Before long, several of the echoes Enzo had accumulated over his period on galafray broke one after the other under the pressure of his battle with Thane.
But Enzo? Enzo did not break. No matter how many bones he broke, no matter how much his flesh tore, he kept going, he kept trying…
Until
Grinnn
Enzo's sand drill appeared in his hand, and using the last bit of strength he drove it right through Thane's forehead.
"Hehe, headshot" Enzo laughed as his gaze fell upon his lower abdomen. This opening hadn't come without a cost.
Thane's hand had gone right through his stomach.
"No vital organs, you missed" Enzo mocked as he watched Thanes hate filled eyes piercing through him as they slowly went shut.
"You…." He was at a loss for words, Enzo knew his weaknesses all this while? The brain of a zombie was its most precious part, this wasn't common knowledge however…
"Damn you" he cursed as he fell to the ground lifeless.
'it worked' Enzo thought in his mind.
Contrary to what Thane's thoughts were, Enzo had not known this was his weak spot. He just wanted to repay Thane for what he did to him in a nightmare.
It was a spiteful act that turned out to be the right one.
As Enzo watched the corpse of Thane a smile creeped onto his face and before long.
-boom!!!!
A large explosion resounded behind him as Victoria's figure rose from within the blood pool and into the air, her surroundings by her divine might.

Enzo caught one final glimpse of Victoria as his gaze went blank and he fell unconscious.

Enzo floated in the depths of space looking at the stat screen in front of him.
After he collapsed Victoria had taken him from the ground and up the mountain where they escaped galafray together. That was when he ended up.
In this space.
"It's over" Enzo said to himself as he looked around, with a smile. It was all done, he had helped Victoria escape galafray and had taken his revenge on Thane.
He felt relief, but also a tinge of sadness, would he never see them again? Well…
Turning back to the screen he noticed a few things he was familiar with, he had done a little research about the voyage, and understood some of the new things on the screen.
Star weaver…..this was his Rank in real life. It placed him in a unique position amongst weavers. If he was correct this was Eliza's rank when they first met.
He had grown stronger.

"Asher…" That was the body he had inhabited during his voyage. Whenever he weaved to a new planet it would be at his disposal.
