Chapter 250: Denying Madara His Moment
Because Edo Tensei bodies feared no casualties, their controllers focused attacks purely on damage output during battle rather than wasting opportunities on defense.
Under normal circumstances, this proved extremely reasonable.
The problem was that both sides currently fielded Edo Tensei bodies—neither feared casualties. This made combat utterly pointless.
"This can't continue. Mizuki, have the Second attack their controller directly."
"Understood, Lord Kazuma."
Mizuki altered his hand seal. The Second Hokage disengaged from the Uchiha, transforming into a blur as he charged rapidly toward Takumi Village's position.
From a distance, he first scattered Flying Thunder God kunai in different directions.
Yasushi smiled faintly, extending his hand. Activating the Tenseigan's power, he gently manipulated the gravitational pull, altering each kunai's trajectory. They fell separately into several predetermined positions nearby.
The Second's form flickered, vanishing from his original location. The next instant, he appeared beside one of the kunai.
But the moment his figure materialized, over a dozen golden chains shot forth from the side, binding his body tightly.
"Secret Technique: Adamantine Sealing Chains!"
Since they knew the Second would inevitably teleport here, naturally they'd deliver him directly beside the trap!
If the Second controlled himself, with years of accumulated combat experience, he'd never fall for such an obvious scheme.
But the one controlling him was Mizuki—whose battlefield experience paled in comparison. He was effortlessly caught.
The Second struggled frantically, slashing at the golden chains with his short blade.
The blade and chains ground together, erupting with blinding chakra sparks. Yet they couldn't be severed whatsoever.
As expected, sealing techniques worked best against Edo Tensei bodies.
"Forgive me, Lord Tobirama."
The Uzumaki ninja using the sealing technique sighed, gazing at the completely unconscious Second Hokage with eyes full of regret.
"Konoha Village has fallen so far—treating their own Hokage's departed soul this way."
He stepped forward, planning to further seal the Second. But he heard a faint "sizzling" sound. Looking down, he witnessed explosive tag markings emerging across the Second's limbs.
His pupils contracted sharply. He immediately recognized this forbidden technique made famous by Senju Tobirama. Just as he attempted to defend himself, the explosive tags multiplied exponentially in an instant, accumulating to an exaggerated degree—covering the Second's entire body before detonating with a tremendous —BOOM.
"Forbidden Technique: Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags!"
A miniature mushroom cloud blossomed at ground zero. Gray-black smoke shot straight into the heavens.
This explosion's power proved absurdly excessive. Not only did it pulverize the Second's body into dust, but even the nearby Uzumaki ninja vanished in the blast. The massive shockwave swept the Takumi Village group standing further back into its radius.
"Hahaha..." Kazuma laughed boisterously from afar. "Well done, Mizuki!"
"Since I declared we'd lift restrictions on forbidden techniques, naturally we wouldn't limit ourselves to just Edo Tensei!"
"Let's see how many of them die from this!"
Kazuma eagerly watched the battlefield, curious which of the three Edo Tensei legions had been eliminated.
But to Kazuma's shock, everything remained unchanged. All three Edo Tensei legions stood firm—not a single person fewer.
Instead, several Konoha shinobi had been sealed by the Uzumaki legion. Without the Wood Release forest's protection, their entire Edo Tensei force would have been completely annihilated.
"How is this possible?"
Kazuma hastily examined Takumi Village's position. The massive shockwave was dissipating at visible speed—ultimately absorbed by a white-haired old man floating in midair.
"Who is this?" Kazuma's brow furrowed. He completely failed to recognize the figure.
Before taking action, he'd naturally investigated Takumi Village thoroughly. He knew Kamekichi and the others. But an ancient ancestor like Seimei who'd died long ago? He'd never researched that far back.
"Is he someone from Uchiha Yasushi's side?"
"No, he's wearing Takumi Village's insignia."
"Takumi Village actually possesses such a powerful shinobi?"
Seimei floated to Shukaku's head, absorbing chakra from the Tailed Beast while declaring loudly:
"I am Seimei, founder of Takumi Village—from the same era as Senju Hashirama!"
"Shinobi of Konoha Village—how dare you invade my Takumi Village?"
"Seimei?" Kazuma's eyes narrowed slightly. He vaguely recalled seeing that name in Takumi Village's records. But wasn't this person already dead?
Also an Edo Tensei body?
He examined carefully but found no telltale cracks on Seimei's body. Didn't seem like it!
Whatever!
Just some minor village leader. What did longevity matter?
"Kill him!" Kazuma gestured sharply with a cutting motion, commanding coldly.
"Well..." Mizuki replied awkwardly: "The Second is being restrained. He can't move for now."
Kazuma's head swiveled. Sure enough, the Second's Edo Tensei body hadn't fully regenerated. But three or four Uzumaki clan ninja had already surrounded him.
If not for the Second's quick footwork, forget killing anyone—avoiding being sealed would be lucky enough.
"Why not use Flying Thunder God to escape?"
"His hands haven't regenerated. Can't form seals."
"Tch. Always failing at critical moments!" Kazuma cursed before taking matters into his own hands.
He altered his hand seal. Senju Hashirama ceased maintaining the Wood Release forest, ignoring the ordinary Edo Tensei bodies sheltered beneath the trees as he charged directly toward Seimei.
"Lord Yasushi, Lord Yasushi! Senju Hashirama is coming..." Seimei sweated profusely, calling out quietly.
"Relax. He's not your enemy. Naturally, I'll have his good friend deal with him."
Yasushi smiled, forming seals before slamming his palm to the ground.
A solitary coffin rose from beneath the earth.
Yasushi harbored absolutely no favorable feelings toward ancestor Uchiha Madara. He deliberately positioned the coffin blocking the middle of the road—facing directly toward the enemy army.
Sure enough, before the coffin could open, one foot brutally kicked the coffin lid flying.
BANG!
The shockwave blasted outward. The coffin lid flew straight toward the charging Senju Hashirama.
Hashirama casually waved his hand, shattering the lid to splinters. Striding forward, he delivered a kick toward the coffin blocking his path.
"Finally, this day has arrived!"
"That brat Nagato has finally... Huh? Hashirama?"
Madara's entrance speech wasn't even finished when he came face-to-face with the charging Hashirama—who kicked him directly in the face. His entire body spun backward, flying back into the coffin.
Then, under tremendous force, he shot out the coffin's opposite end. Like a stone skipping across water, he bounced repeatedly across the ground over a dozen times before slamming head-first into the mountainside, embedding deep within.
