Chapter 335: You Go Remove the Second and Third for Me
With the Hyuga clan pledging first, pressure immediately shifted onto the Uzumaki clan.
Fortunately, though these old fellows were dead, they weren't stubborn idiots. They deeply understood bending with the wind.
Seeing that even after death they couldn't find peace under Uchiha Yasushi's control—potentially suffering infinite painful torment—these Uzumaki clan members decisively surrendered together.
"Ah, I remember two young ladies from our Uzumaki clan also joined Konoha Village. So by that reasoning, we're not outsiders either!"
"Absolutely! Originally Konoha Village and Uzushiogakure had intermarriage customs. Previously with the Senju clan, now with the Uchiha clan—not much real difference!"
"Right, right! Regardless, we're marrying into the Hokage's clan. Who's Hokage—what does it matter?"
"Oh my, our Uzumaki clan's population isn't particularly prosperous currently. We must produce more children!"
The old fellows quickly transitioned the conversation topic toward reviving the Uzumaki clan through reproduction in Konoha Village within a few sentences. Nobody mentioned the earlier work refusal topic anymore.
Seeing everyone had folded, Yasushi smiled with satisfaction.
"Haha, well said! Everyone's family from now on. We must work diligently and wholeheartedly for building our beautiful shared future!"
"Come, come—I'll redistribute work assignments. Everyone get busy! Finish early, rest early."
"Right, right, right—get busy, everyone get busy..." The group echoed repeatedly before obediently accepting orders and leaving for work.
Ninja work efficiency genuinely surpassed ordinary people—each one worth a hundred.
Before long, the village was mostly cleaned up.
The Uchiha compound was swept spotlessly clean—presenting a completely renewed prestigious appearance.
The original Hokage building was thoroughly demolished. On Fugaku's estate's location, a one-to-one replica reconstruction appeared here.
Hidden underground vaults and such were all relocated here too.
Other village facilities—schools, hospitals, whatever—remained unchanged, still at original locations.
Yasushi stood in the Hokage office, hands clasped behind his back. His gaze swept through the village via the wide floor-to-ceiling windows, watching numerous figures busily working throughout—heroic ambition involuntarily surging within.
"Never imagined I'd actually have a day becoming Hokage!"
"Though somehow feels like something's still missing?"
"Lord Hokage, you still lack proper attire." Nearby, Mizuki—who'd volunteered as secretary—reminded him.
"Ah, right! Hokage needs official uniform!"
Yasushi clapped both hands. Before ordering anything, Mizuki already presented a complete Hokage uniform set with both hands before him.
"Lord Hokage, back when working undercover in Konoha Village, I already anticipated today. So I prepared early."
"Please try it on—see if it fits."
No wonder past emperors always kept several sycophants nearby. This proved extraordinarily considerate!
"Hahaha..." Yasushi laughed while pointing at Mizuki. "Mizuki-kun truly understands my heart!"
Yasushi draped the Hokage robe over himself, lifted the Hokage hat with both hands, properly placing it on his head. Suddenly everything felt perfectly right.
Mizuki produced a full-length mercury mirror from somewhere, placing it before Yasushi.
Yasushi examined himself left and right in the mirror, studying that handsome young man inside. Everything looked perfectly appropriate.
"Excellent. Now I look like a proper Hokage."
Yasushi walked several circles around the office with hands clasped behind his back, satisfied. Then he heard Mizuki speak:
"Lord Hokage, though temporarily our Konoha Village's reconstruction hasn't officially announced to the shinobi world, some matters require advance preparation."
"For instance, sending invitations to all shinobi nations, requesting countries dispatch people for observation ceremonies."
"Also, the Hokage Rock carvings can be added to the schedule now."
"Hokage Rock?" Yasushi's gaze instinctively shifted toward those several enormous human head stone carvings outside the distant window.
"Correct. To ensure the statues' artistic quality, these sculptures weren't made by ninja using techniques. Instead, famous national master carvers were hired—chiseling them out axe by axe, chisel by chisel."
"This requires substantial time. Must prepare in advance."
"I see!" Yasushi nodded while looking at those five Hokage stone carving heads on Hokage Rock. The more he looked, the more irritating they became.
First, Fourth, and Fifth were acceptable. But the Second and Third always viewed the Uchiha clan unfavorably—secretly harming countless clan members.
From now on, Konoha Village would be controlled by the Uchiha clan. How could they continue letting these two disgusting fellows perpetually squat above their own heads?
"No. Must be settled!"
Yasushi crooked his finger. Mizuki immediately hurried over with small quick steps.
"Lord Hokage, your orders."
"Mizuki, think of a method. Remove the Second and Third from that Hokage Rock. I refuse coexisting alongside such trash."
"Huh?" Mizuki froze, blinking—momentarily uncertain how to proceed.
"Lord Hokage, our Konoha Village has been passed down generation after generation. Suddenly missing two Hokages from Hokage Rock's middle—probably won't make sense!"
"I don't care." Yasushi adopted leadership attitude, directly waving his hand while ignoring subordinate difficulties.
"Regardless, I've assigned you this task. You won't disappoint me, right?"
"Uh..." Mizuki hesitated only briefly before declaring decisively: "No! Definitely not!"
"Lord Hokage, rest assured. I'll immediately figure something out—definitely pulling those two incompetent fellows down from Hokage Rock's positions!"
"Good." Yasushi nodded satisfactorily before generously stating: "I'm not trying to rewrite history. I acknowledge they served as Hokage. After all, other ninja villages have corresponding records. Revising historical records isn't particularly easy."
"I can't possibly waste time unifying the shinobi world over such trivial matters, right?"
"I simply believe those two fellows don't deserve standing alongside me. Shouldn't be placed on Hokage Rock for village descendants to revere."
"I see!" Mizuki's eyes rolled before immediately slapping his thigh. "That's simple then!"
"Lord Hokage—new village, new atmosphere! We can't always follow old Konoha Village's outdated ways!"
"Since original Konoha Village collapsed and disintegrated, that proves old Konoha Village's development methods were wrong. We must innovate!"
"We must change past Konoha Village's outdated systems!"
"Since we're innovating and changing outdated systems—why not start right here with Hokage Rock?"
