Rumble!
Swish! Swish!
Thunder and slashes intertwined violently!
The battle between Victor, the Thunder God with a bounty of 2.1 billion, and the world's number one swordsman, Hawkeye Mihawk, was destined to be legendary.
During the Marineford battle, Victor hadn't yet obtained his diamond-level physique. If Whitebeard hadn't intervened, he would likely have lost.
Now, things were different. Victor's body was stronger, and he had mastered Thunder Fruit powers, swordsmanship, Haki, and six styles of naval combat.
His effectiveness in battle had skyrocketed since Marineford.
Hawkeye, recognized as the world's top swordsman, remained an extremely formidable opponent.
Defeating him wouldn't be easy—unless Victor used some secret trick or powerful item.
"These two are terrifying…" Perona floated in the air, clutching her burgundy umbrella.
The battle was too fast for her to see clearly. Victor, immune to her Negative Ghosts, was almost invisible in his movements. Hawkeye could only glimpse him occasionally.
Exploding thunder and slashes made it clear—the fight was fierce.
Zoro also struggled to keep up. His eyesight couldn't track the battle, so he closed his eyes, trying to sense the fight with his heart.
"You're even faster! And stronger too, Victor!" Hawkeye's face was serious.
He swung Night, forming countless slashes into a solid wind wall to defend against Victor's lightning-fast attacks.
Victor's speed had greatly improved since Marineford, and his strength had increased dramatically.
Hawkeye wondered how such a young warrior could appear in the New World.
"Be careful, Hawkeye! Don't forget—you'll buy me a drink if you lose!" Victor taunted while using his speed advantage to constantly shift positions.
"Hahaha! Don't be happy too soon! The stronger you are, the stronger my fighting spirit becomes!" Hawkeye laughed heartily.
Fighting a powerful opponent like Victor excited him like nothing else.
Swordsmanship: One Sword Style – Eagle Slash – Unavoidable!
Buzz!
A flash of green light filled the air. Hawkeye launched a deadly comprehensive attack.
The slash approached too close for Victor to evade. Hawkeye's sword carried a powerful aura, and even elemental transformations couldn't negate it.
Victor's only option: fight head-on.
Thunder x Swordsmanship: 60 Million Volts – Thunder Dragon!
Rumble!
A gigantic thunder dragon erupted, biting at Hawkeye's deadly slash. The clash sent shockwaves across the island.
Meanwhile, far away:
"Lady Snake Princess, there seems to be a fierce battle over there. Could it be Lord Victor?"
Margaret, a Nine Snakes warrior from Amazon Lily, reported to Boa Hancock. Though not yet part of Victor's pirate crew, she was thrilled to see her first true battle at sea.
"Looks like Hawkeye Mihawk's territory. Don't worry—my husband is stronger than him!" Boa Hancock said with a tsundere glare, her pride and tsundere charm on full display.
"Hawkeye? Is Lord Victor really that powerful?" Margaret whispered, awed.
Hancock suddenly raised her head, pointing a slender jade finger at Margaret.
"You! Don't have any bad thoughts about my man! Victor belongs to me alone! No one can take him! And if you ask why… it's because I'm too beautiful!"
"Ah!!! Lady Snake Princess! I understand!!"
Daisy blushed, powerless against Hancock's peerless beauty and authority.
Back to the battle:
As dusk approached, the duel paused after a massive clash.
"Where's your punch? Why didn't you use it?" Hawkeye asked, catching his breath.
The fight had been exhilarating—equal strength, equal thrill. But he still remembered the punch Victor had used to send Akainu flying. Why hadn't Victor used it now?
"Hahaha, don't you have a sword you haven't swung yet?" Victor replied with a smile.
He'd noticed Hawkeye was building up for a powerful strike several times, but it had never materialized.
"I reserve it for special fights. This isn't life-or-death," Hawkeye admitted.
Even he hadn't used that sword against anyone except Red-Haired Shanks.
"Looks like we're destined to meet, Hawkeye. I usually reserve my punch for… dogs, of course! Hahahaha!" Victor laughed.
"Hahaha! No wonder Akainu hates you so much!"
They both laughed together, enjoying the thrill of combat.
"Roronoa! Miss Ghost! Go back and prepare a banquet for Thunder God Victor later!" Hawkeye instructed Zoro and Perona.
Zoro nodded silently.
Perona puffed her cheeks in anger. "You're ordering me again! I hate you!"
Victor watched and chuckled. There's always someone stronger—Perona conquers Zoro, Hawkeye conquers Perona. Fascinating.
