The burly man holding it puffed on a cigar, his skin marred with frostbite marks. It was Akainu, former Admiral of the Marine Headquarters and now the new Marine Marshal.
The recent battle for the position of Grand Admiral at Punk Hazard ended in his victory.
"All Navy members! Keep a close eye on the Ward Pirates! Destroy them along with the Amazon Lily Kingdom!"
"Understood! Marshal Akainu!"
"Received!"

On ten top-tier naval warships, five vice admirals and ten elite rear admirals simultaneously entered combat readiness.
Though their experience wasn't enough to understand why the World Government suddenly issued a demon-slaying order against Amazon Lily, they obeyed without question.
"Under the Demon Slaying Order, the entire Daughter Island will be reduced to ruins, and no one will survive! Before I can free my hands, you're courting death! Victor, you even dare to kill the Celestial Dragons…"
Admiral Akainu stood on the deck, eyes full of gloom.
The recent Battle of Marineford was, to him, a huge stain on absolute justice. He prayed that Victor would appear. If he did, Akainu would ensure he would never survive.
High in the sky, a supersonic fighter jet streaked through the clouds, carrying thunder across the sky, heading toward the waters near Daughter Island.
Victor and his group had just returned to the Blue Sea. When Enel nearly drowned out of curiosity, Victor's and Hancock's Den Den Mushi rang simultaneously.
Two pieces of bad news arrived.
The new Marine Marshal Akainu personally led ten top naval warships toward Daughter Island with the clear intent of launching a demon-slaying order.
During normal cruising, the Nine Snakes Pirates had encountered an unknown pirate group, and the imperial sisters Sandasonia and Marigold had been abducted.
Upon receiving this news, Victor and his crew rushed directly to the waters around Daughter Island.
At the same time, the Ward Pirates, led by World Destroyer Bondi Wald, were also forced into the area by the Navy fleet.
As a great pirate from thirty years ago, Bondi Wald was unafraid. He neither fled nor released the Sandasonia sisters but prepared to participate in the battle independently.
"Report to the Marshal! The fleet has arrived at the only port of the Amazon Lily Kingdom!"
A nervous naval lieutenant saluted and reported.
"Hmm? Panicking already? Pass my orders. Prepare to launch the Demon Slayer Order!"
Akainu gave a cold order, barely glancing at the lieutenant.
"Got it! Marshal, it's just…"
The lieutenant trembled in front of the Marshal, hardly daring to breathe.
"Just what!? Hurry up and tell me! Don't waste time!"
"One of the Twelve Supreme Swords, Murakumo-giri, was discovered above the port of Amazon Lily Kingdom. It's also… the weapon of the Four Emperors, Whitebeard!"
The lieutenant's cold sweat dripped. Even as a marine, he had heard rumors that the sword Murakumo-giri had been handed to someone else in the New World, and the location was a place the Whitebeard Pirates had sworn to protect.
"Tsk! Damn Whitebeard! Always paving the way for others!"
Akainu snorted, disapproving. Though the Navy had been embarrassed at Marineford, the Whitebeard Pirates had suffered more losses. Moreover, the World Government was recruiting soldiers worldwide, and the Navy's strength would only increase.
As for the Whitebeard Pirates, ambitious figures like Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard) were emerging, seeking Whitebeard's downfall.
"Order! Launch the Demon Slayer Order!"
Akainu confirmed the order. Not only did he intend to destroy Daughter Island, but he also planned to take Murakumo-giri back to Navy Headquarters afterward—wiping out at least half the humiliation suffered at Marineford.
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Before the Navy could act, Daughter Island's defenses struck first. Dozens of anti-aircraft guns fired simultaneously, illuminating the sea with laser attacks.
Victor had strategically deployed 33 island-wide anti-aircraft guns around the port, anticipating the Navy's arrival.
Round one: Four of the ten top naval warships sank instantly. The remaining six were under Akainu's personal protection, along with five veteran vice admirals.
The rapid destruction stunned both the Navy and the Ward Pirates watching from the sidelines.
What kind of weapon was this? Could the Amazon Lily Kingdom really be so well-defended?
"Amazon! Amazon! Amazon!"
The Nine Snakes' female warriors shouted loudly, calling for Lord Victor, whose defense line—though left in place—was now fighting without him.
"Marshal! What should we do? Dozens of laser beams! The lieutenant generals can't hold out much longer!"
The naval lieutenant's sweat poured as Akainu's anger grew.
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Another brutal round. One more warship sank accidentally, leaving five of ten naval warships destroyed before they could even begin combat.
The Navy soldiers were stunned. They were trying to launch a Demon Slayer Order, yet were being slaughtered instead!
What the hell was this Daughter Island?!
Akainu's face was dark with fury. He concluded these weapons must have been Victor's doing. After all, Victor had conjured an ultra-luxury ship at Marinford out of thin air.
Damn it!
Akainu cursed under his breath.
Even so, he was not rushed. Just some weapons—they wanted to resist the Navy? Resist him?
"Meteor Volcano!!!"
