On the other side, Richard knew he couldn't restore Yggdrasil by himself, so he thought for a moment and asked,
"Yggdrasil, can you block external senses here?"
"Wait…"
Yggdrasil suddenly stirred, and the leaves on its crown glowed green, illuminating everything around it in a verdant hue.
"Now you can."
"…If possible, can you change the color?"
Richard looked at his dark green palm, knowing without looking what his face must look like.
"Don't you like it? This is the color of life. Then I'll change it to red."
Richard looked at his now red palm and was too lazy to be picky.
He took out another sphere and threw it backward.
A colossal figure appeared behind Richard.
"A Universe Celestial!"
Odin stared in shock at the figure; he recognized this Universe Celestial.
The Explorer Aconite, a Multiversal level being.
"I believe him now. To be able to turn a Universe Celestial into a puppet and carry it around, he must have a more powerful entity backing him."
It was the first time Odin Force had seen such a strong backer.
Doing something so insulting to a Universe Celestial, yet nothing happened.
Richard ascended to the Explorer's head; not all Universe Celestials were single-Universe level.
The first batch of Universe Celestials created by the First Firmament were Multiversal.
And the Explorer was one of them.
Richard then took out the energy sphere that the Gods Above Gods had exploded and placed it inside the Explorer.
"Explorer, heal Yggdrasil and restore its vitality."
The Explorer immediately moved, spraying powerful life energy from its hands.
If it were ordinary energy, the Infinity Gauntlet might have sufficed, but Yggdrasil required life energy, so this was the only method.
Life energy sprinkled on the tree roots, and Yggdrasil quickly grew new branches and leaves.
"So comfortable, I feel like I've returned to when I first sprouted, Richard."
"You're welcome. Protect your agent well."
"I will."
Odin was also at the base of the tree and got a bit of life energy, his pale hair turning golden, and the wrinkles on his face smoothing out, restoring his youth once again.
"I feel like I can live another ten thousand years."
"You really hit the jackpot this time."
"Yes, it's a pity His Majesty the God King doesn't fancy Hela."
"Enough, Richard."
Richard made the Explorer stop and took out the energy sphere again, seeing that less than half remained.
A huge loss.
"Thank you, Richard, these are for you."
Yggdrasil's withered leaves fell off, and tender green leaves began to grow, with green fruits starting to form on them.
Yggdrasil controlled its power, plucking all the ripe fruits.
There were hundreds of them.
"What is this?"
Richard picked one up; it was the size of a head, and each contained powerful life energy.
"My fruits. Each can extend life by a thousand years. The life energy just now allowed me to grow again. Every ten years, you can come and collect them once."
Yggdrasil said.
Richard's eyes lit up.
He looked at the fruit in his hand.
This meant turning a one-time life energy into a sustainable one; he had truly profited greatly.
He took out the energy sphere that still had a little left.
"Yggdrasil, can you still eat? I still have some left here."
"No, if I absorb any more, I'll explode."
"Alright then."
Richard put away the Explorer and landed on the tree roots.
"Odin?"
"It's me, His Majesty the God King."
"I now believe Thor truly is your son."
Richard couldn't help but say.
The rejuvenated Odin and Thor looked too much alike, though one's eyes were full of wisdom, while the other's held only pure foolishness.
"Is this your child?"
Richard looked at Odin Force beside him, jokingly asking.
"You could say that. Would you like to be my fourth son?"
Odin asked.
"Greetings, Great God King, I am Odin Force, the power you are about to acquire. Please begin the next ritual with me."
Odin Force bowed respectfully, speaking earnestly, completely disregarding the joke between Odin and Richard.
"Good."
Richard nodded.
Odin shrugged uninterestingly; after regaining his youth, his mindset had also become much younger.
The three of them arrived at a dry, ancient well.
"Great God King, to obtain Odin Force, you must retrace Odin's experiences: dig out your eyes, cast them into the ancient well, drink from Mimir's Well, hang from Yggdrasil for nine days and nine nights, acquire Rune Magic on the brink of Death, and finally, merge with me."
Odin Force didn't play the Riddler's game; instead, he revealed the entire ritual process.
Upon hearing this, Richard subconsciously touched his own eyes.
Aside from the Mandarin incident, he had never been injured again, and digging out these eyes was equivalent to a sacrifice; the possibility of recovery was very low.
At the very least, Odin and Rune King had never recovered.
Wait, sacrifice?
A thought suddenly flashed through his mind.
"Does the sacrifice have to be my own eyes?"
Richard asked.
Odin Force was momentarily stunned by this sudden question.
He thought back carefully; it seemed there was no clear rule that it had to be his own eyes.
"No."
He hesitated for a moment, then slowly said.
Richard pulled out a Hundred-Eyed Demon from Hell.
"My Lord, what are your commands?"
The Hundred-Eyed Demon was strong, with numerous eyes wandering all over its body.
"Throw two eyes into the well, preferably with a sincere heart."
"Yes!"
The Hundred-Eyed Demon responded, adjusted its emotions, put on a devout expression, and then dug out two eyes from its arm, throwing them into the ancient well without hesitation.
Gurgle, gurgle—
Blue spring water began to emerge.
"…" Odin Force.
"…" Odin.
Richard gave the Hundred-Eyed Demon a portion of Hell's power and sent him back to Hell.
He took a sip of Mimir's Well.
He saw everything: the birth of Yggdrasil, Odin's past, the establishment of Asgard.
Then he saw himself in another World, from birth to Death, ordinary, chasing many things, but catching nothing.
Then came the World-crossing, the anxiety, encountering Venom, Pamela, Gwen, Xi… and everything that happened with them brought Richard unprecedented joy.
Outside, Odin and Odin Force exchanged glances.
"It's the first time I've seen someone smile after drinking this."
"Otherwise, like you, every time you wake up, you want to fight those Gods Above Gods. If I hadn't stopped you, you would have become the fastest dying God King."
After witnessing everything, Richard slowly opened his eyes.
He only felt refreshed.
He had a new understanding of his own power and magic in his mind.
Looking at Mimir's Well, which was still gushing out, he quickly found something to collect it.
This was good stuff.
It clarifies the mind and enhances wisdom.
"His Majesty the God King, next is hanging; this should not be able to be substituted."
Odin Force stepped forward, his expression serious.
"I know."
Richard knew this could only be done by himself.
He found a chain, hung it on Yggdrasil, and was about to hang himself.
"Richard, what are you doing?"
"Hanging for nine days and nine nights to obtain Rune Magic."
"Rune Magic? I can give it to you."
As soon as the words fell, a wooden board "thumped" and fell in front of Richard.
Richard bent down to pick it up, only to see it densely carved with Runic script.
"No? This is only supposed to be obtained through a ritual, how do you have it?"
"This was originally mine. I saw Odin hanging on me, almost dying, so I gave it to him and told him to get lost!"
Speaking of this, Yggdrasil had some resentment. If she didn't give it, he would die on her, and who would want a corpse hanging on themselves?
Richard twitched the corner of his mouth.
Odin also saw the text on the wooden board and completely fell silent; it was even more complete than what he had seen in Death.
Was his God King title fake?
He couldn't solve Ragnarok.
He couldn't communicate with Yggdrasil.
He used his own eyes for the sacrifice.
He almost died just to obtain Rune Magic.
