Chapter 273 - Chapter 272 Dark History Collection

Richard threw the compass towards Superman.

Superman caught it steadily, looking at Richard with a puzzled expression.

"This is a Kin-Finding Compass.

In this Universe, you're lucky; you still have a relative alive.

Follow the direction the pointer indicates, and you'll find them."

Richard explained.

Superman's eyes widened instantly, looking at the exquisite compass in his hand in disbelief.

He still had a relative alive in this World?

His tall frame couldn't help but tremble slightly.

"Thank you, Richard, thank you so much!"

Superman's eyes reddened, and his voice was choked with emotion.

He carefully placed the compass close to his body inside his clothes.

"You're welcome. Now, it's time for you to fulfill what you promised me."

A sly smile flashed across Richard's face as he looked at everyone.

Only then did the Super Heroes remember the contract they had signed earlier.

Batman's expression changed drastically, and he quickly asked,

"What did you promise him?"

"Nothing much, just to grant any of his requests, provided they don't violate our bottom line."

Flash shrugged.

Batman's face was grim. "Not violating the bottom line" offered too much room for manipulation. Fortunately, Superman and he hadn't agreed to such a request, so there was still a way to salvage it.

"And, to persuade you and Superman to join him."

Wonder Woman added.

"I have no objections."

At this moment, Superman was filled with the excitement of his relative being alive; he would do anything.

Batman's expression changed. Just as he was about to say something, a portal appeared beneath his feet, and he fell through.

Similar portals appeared beneath the others' feet as well.

Superman saw the same type of portal as Richard's and did not resist.

"Huh? Where did everyone go?"

Shazam looked bewildered, scratching his head.

"They have something to do. This is for you; you can play with it."

Richard created an Iron Suit and threw it to Shazam.

"Mark III! Thanks, Big Brother Richard."

Shazam was already impatient to put it on.

In a blink of an eye, Richard also vanished without a trace.

Shazam was still a child, and Richard decided to let him go.

---

When the Super Heroes opened their eyes again, they were already in a room, all sitting in a circle on chairs.

"Big Brother Richard, where is this?" Flash asked.

Wonder Woman instinctively tried to get up but was harshly pulled back by chains on her limbs. She couldn't move, and her body inexplicably became very weak.

"Why can't I use my power?"

The others also tried to break free, but no matter how hard they struggled, their power was like a stone sinking into the sea, with no response at all.

"Don't try. This is my Hell. Without my permission, you can't use your powers."

Richard said with a smile.

Batman's expression was grave. He knew in his heart that a new crisis had arrived.

"What exactly do you want to do?" he asked coldly.

"Don't be so serious. Wouldn't it be better to smile? That way, your flesh will taste better."

As he spoke, Richard opened his mouth, revealing fangs.

Everyone present looked at him with calm expressions.

If he hadn't helped Superman find his kin earlier, they might have believed him a little.

"How boring. Just answer a few questions for me."

Seeing that no one took the bait, Richard uninterestingly withdrew his illusion, returning to his original appearance.

"Why did you lock us up?"

Zatanna rattled the chains on her hands.

"Of course, it's to prevent you from running around."

Richard pulled out two items from behind his back, and everyone's faces turned pale.

The Lasso of Truth and a video recorder.

"NONONO!"

"Not that one, I promise to tell the truth."

"Please, I'm a girl, let me go!"

Superman and Batman looked bewildered, completely unaware of why everyone was reacting so strongly.

"In order. You're first, Zatanna."

Richard placed the video recorder in front of her.

He tied the Lasso of Truth around her wrist.

Zatanna bit her lip tightly. She desperately wished she were mute.

"First question: How old were you when you realized you couldn't afford to offend certain people?"

The Lasso of Truth on Zatanna's wrist glowed, and she began to speak uncontrollably.

"15 years old. I saw some information while browsing a website and gradually learned about it."
