The lights were lower, richer, tinted in deep purples and golds that crawled across the mirrored walls like living beings. Fog skimmed the floor, not thick enough to obscure movement, but just enough to make everything feel unreal.
The bass from the stage pulsed through her chest the moment she stepped inside the entrance, momentarily caught between awe and a sensory overload.
"Oh my god," Maya breathed, clutching Kendra's arm as she pointed across the room. "That's him."
Kendra's gaze followed Maya's hand before she let out a restrained squeal. "No way. No way. That's Callum Vire."
