Lucian didn't slow as he hauled Enzo through the door and down the steps, fingers locked in the back of his jacket like he was afraid letting go would undo everything he'd just contained. Rylan and Casen followed close behind with Elaine between them, Luca half a step back, eyes scanning their surroundings as if he expected something else to blow up.
Mathias, Kase, and Skylar were already turned when the doors burst open, confusion written plainly across their faces as Enzo was forced past them.
"What the hell happened?" Skylar asked immediately.
"Why is he bleeding?" Kase added, his gaze locked on Enzo's hands.
Lucian ignored both of their questions.
"Sit," he ordered, shoving Enzo down onto the curb.
Enzo dropped heavily, elbows resting on his knees, fingers flexing as if he was still burning off adrenaline. He looked up once, eyes sharp, then glanced away. His breathing was heavy, knuckles red and split, jaw tight, but there wasn't a trace of regret on his face.
