Lena immediately stepped out from behind the reception desk, looped her arm through Dylan's, and led him behind the counter. Mitch looked Dylan up and down and back up again, sizing up Dylan, who looked simple in his casual, plain clothes. Then, "hmph," he immediately smiled with a smug look at Dylan, then looked back at Lena, ignoring Dylan.
"So, Lena, when do you think we can have coffee to discuss your career opportunities?" Mitch said, clearly trying to dismiss Dylan.
"Hmm? Career?" Dylan asked, turning to look at Lena.
"Don't worry about it, honey. I'm not interested. I already told him that, right, sir?" Lena asked, giving Mitch a sharp look.
Mitch fell silent for a moment, then opened his mouth to speak again, but before his voice came out, the door behind the reception area opened. A patient stepped out, followed by Irene.
"Oh, you're here, honey," Irene immediately walked up to Mitch.
