Chapter 237 - Chapter 237 William's hand, holding the coffee cup, paused in mid-air.

"What's up? Do you want to insure your new armor, or consult whether property damage caused by an alien invasion is covered by the claim?"

"Neither."

Tony's voice sounded cheerful.

"Remember that big guy from before, the blond one who loves swinging a hammer?"

"He said that after he takes his disobedient brother home for reflection, he'll come back to Earth to talk to you specifically about insurance."

William's hand, holding the coffee cup, paused in mid-air.

Blond?

Hammer?

Disobedient brother?

"Are you saying... Thor Odinson?"

William's voice was a little shaky.

"That's right, him."

Tony seemed to chuckle on the other end.

"He said he's very interested in your 'risk hedging' theory and wants to see if you can design a plan for him too."

"A god wanting to buy insurance, this World is truly amazing."

William felt like his heart had been injected with adrenaline, starting to pound wildly.

A god!

A genuine, lightning-summoning, millennia-old Asgardian god was going to be his client!

This was no longer just a big deal; this was a divine deal!

It was an achievement he could boast about for a lifetime!

Selling insurance to a god, could anything be cooler than that?

Countless policy clauses flashed through his mind instantly:

"Mjolnir Accidental Damage and Loss Insurance," "Bifrost Bridge Commuter Accident Insurance," "Asgardian Sibling Dispute Legal Aid Insurance," "Ragnarok Personal Survival Protection Plan"... He was going to be rich!

He was really going to be rich this time!

William could almost hear the numbers in his bank account rolling wildly.

He forcibly suppressed the surging ecstasy within him, cleared his throat, and maintained his calm image as a professional consultant.

"This is indeed a... very promising client."

His voice tried to remain steady.

"I will prepare a top-tier plan for him. As a token of my gratitude, I'll give you a 10% discount on your next armor maintenance fee."

"Save it."

Tony snorted.

"Just don't call me again to push those random extra coverages."

"Seriously, we're escorting Loki back to our... sky club. Do you have any new information on your end? Like about HYDRA or something."

William's thoughts detached from the sky-high insurance policy, and his brain quickly returned to calmness.

Helicarrier.

Loki.

A critical plot point suddenly flashed red in his mind.

Coulson's death.

That was the catalyst for the Avengers truly coming together, a tragic sacrifice.

Before William transmigrated, when he watched the movie, he had sighed at the departure of that good man.

But now... he was no longer an audience member.

Phil Coulson was one of the few people in S.H.I.E.L.D. who hadn't shown obvious hostility towards him.

Moreover, from a purely insurance Agent's perspective, a senior Agent like Coulson was an extremely stable, potential high-quality client.

His death, for William, was a potential loss.

More importantly, he didn't like this pre-arranged plot.

If he could easily change it... why not?

"HYDRA hasn't made any big moves for now; they're overwhelmed by Fury's purge and too busy with their own problems."

William's tone became serious.

"However, Tony, I need you to do me a favor. Or rather, give S.H.I.E.L.D. some professional risk avoidance advice."

"Let's hear it."

"Phil Coulson,"

William chose his words carefully.

"What do you want to say? Coulson is my fan, and a pretty good guy."

He's clearly Captain America's fan!

"From a risk assessment perspective, he is a 'high-value non-combat asset'."

William said, "Therefore, I strongly recommend that in dealing with Loki, he should not approach the target alone."

Tony on the other end fell silent.

He clearly hadn't expected William to suddenly mention Coulson, and in such a strange way.

"Why?"

"Because it's not cost-effective."

William's answer was righteous.

"Having an administrative executive go one-on-one with a god is like using a supercomputer to crack a nut; the risk and reward are completely disproportionate."

"Once something goes wrong, S.H.I.E.L.D. loses not only an excellent Agent, but also the subsequent compensation, the filling of the vacant position, and the blow to team morale..."

"These potential losses would be an astronomical figure. Believe me, I'm a professional."

"Tell Coulson to stay away from Loki and focus on what he's good at. This is not only for his own good but also for S.H.I.E.L.D.'s annual financial report."

These words were full of twisted logic, yet perfectly fit his identity as an insurance consultant.

Tony was quiet for a few seconds on the other end, then let out a chuckle.

"God, you're a hopeless bastard."

He cursed with a laugh, "This is the first time I've heard someone talk about caring for a colleague in such a... mercenary way."

"Alright, I get it. I'll tell him, just say his insurance consultant doesn't want him to die young, to avoid a high payout."

"It's best if you can understand it that way."

William breathed a sigh of relief.

"Gotta go, we're almost there. Remember to prepare the contract for my new client."

The call was disconnected.

William tossed his phone back onto the sofa and let out a long sigh.

He didn't know if his reminder would work, but at least he tried.
