Eric Savin's gaze completely ignored everyone else around him.
In his eyes, they were just incidental cannon fodder.
"Looks like you've found new friends, Stark."
Savin took a step forward, and the concrete floor beneath his feet hissed faintly from the high temperature, leaving a shallow, charred footprint.
"But that won't change the outcome."
As he prepared to step forward again, a figure blocked his path.
Jessica Jones.
She casually tossed the empty wine bottle aside with a crisp clatter, then lazily stretched her neck.
"Get out of the way, woman, this isn't a party you should be crashing."
"Oh?"
Jessica's eyes were full of disdain.
"A glowing light bulb dares to talk tough? What I hate most are guys like you who don't pay their electricity bills and just wander around."
Before she finished speaking, Savin unleashed a heavy punch, powerful enough to melt steel, straight at Jessica's face.
"Bang—!"
Jessica simply raised her right hand, firmly blocking Savin's burning arm.
Savin's face, twisted in a cruel smile, froze.
His punch, capable of tearing through an armored vehicle, felt like it had slammed into an unmovable superalloy.
What kind of monster was this woman?!
"Not bad strength," Jessica grinned, grabbing Savin's wrist with her other hand and twisting it sharply downwards!
"Too bad, just being hot isn't enough!"
"Crack!"
A sickening sound of dislocated bones rang out!
Amidst Savin's pained grunt, Jessica delivered a vicious knee strike, hitting him squarely in the abdomen and sending him flying backward.
"Alright, reunion time is over. Now, begin Plan B."
William turned, his gaze precisely landing on Tandy and Tyrone.
"Tyrone, your mission: 'Asset Transfer'. Tandy, 'Visual Obscuration', create a window for the transfer."
"What?"
Tony didn't react for a moment.
"I don't need..."
"You do!"
"Right now, you and your little sidekick are both 'high-value assets' requiring emergency evacuation."
As he spoke, William's finger pointed to the broken Mark 42 Armor in the corner.
"And that, take that too."
Savin roared from the wall, the crimson glow on his body intensifying.
"Now!"
Tyrone didn't hesitate. The black Cloak on him suddenly unfurled, transforming into pure darkness.
"Get in!"
Tyrone grabbed Harry's arm and pushed him towards the portal.
Tandy spread her hands, and two Daggers made of light energy formed in her palms.
"Go!"
The light blades flew from her hands, exploding in front of Savin!
"Boom!"
The intense light made Savin instinctively close his eyes.
In that brief moment of blinding, Tyrone had already dragged the still-stunned Tony, and with his other hand, he grabbed at the air. A dark force wrapped around the Mark 42 Armor, pulling them all into the Dark Dimension.
When the White light in front of Savin dissipated, what he saw was an empty garage.
Tony Stark, the little boy, and even the dilapidated Armor, had all vanished without a trace.
Only the slick-talking man in the suit and the impossibly strong woman remained.
"Where are they?!"
"Oh, you mean our client?"
"He has already accepted our company's 'Emergency Transfer Service'. If you need it too, we can give you a twenty percent discount."
"You're asking for death!"
Dominated by extreme rage and humiliation, Savin let out a roar.
The Extremis within him was pushed to its limit, his entire skin glowing with a dazzling orange-red hue.
The surrounding air instantly heated up, distorting into visible ripples.
He charged at Jessica like a cannonball.
He would use his thousands of degrees of high temperature to burn this woman, who dared to stop him, alive into charcoal!
"Boring."
Jessica Jones didn't even bother to move her feet.
She merely lowered her center of gravity slightly, and the moment Savin crashed into her, she met him with an even fiercer stance.
Who wasn't a mutated freak, after all!
Savin felt like he had crashed into a mountain.
The reactive force spread through his entire body, following his bones.
Jessica, however, only slid back less than half a meter, leaving two shallow scratches on the concrete floor.
Her cheap leather jacket turned to ash, revealing the simple black vest underneath.
But her exposed skin was only slightly reddened by the scorching heat.
"Is that all?"
Jessica's expression of disdain grew even stronger. She reached out and, to Savin's horrified gaze, grabbed his head.
He could feel his skull groaning under the pressure of her hand.
He struggled frantically, trying to use his high temperature to force her back.
"Too noisy."
Jessica's eyes turned cold, and the hand gripping his head slammed downwards!
"Bang!"
Savin's face was smashed squarely into the concrete floor. After two twitches, the orange-red glow on his body rapidly dimmed, eventually extinguishing completely, and he fell unconscious.
William stood by, not interfering from beginning to end.
"Hey, I'm done here."
Jessica shook her hand, which was only slightly red. "What now? Throw this trash in the dump outside town?"
"This isn't trash, Jessica. This is a valuable 'research sample'."
"Take him back to the island and hand him directly to Dr. Connors. Oh, and remind him, this thing is unstable, don't mess it up."
"Me?"
Jessica pointed to her nose.
"You want me to be a delivery person? My business doesn't include inter-state prisoner transport!"
"This is 'Asset Recovery', dear, an important part of risk management."
William patted her shoulder, his tone as sincere as if he were giving an employee motivational speech.
"Besides, Dr. Connors' recent research has hit some bottlenecks. This'sample' is more important to him than any bonus."
Jessica rolled her eyes.
She picked up the unconscious Savin from the ground.
"Fine, I guess I'm out of luck," she said grumpily. "What about you? Aren't you going to check on your billionaire friend who's about to have a mental breakdown?"
"Of course I am."
"Professionals do professional things. You're in charge of logistics, I'm in charge of... the client's psychological counseling and subsequent risk assessment."
...Ross Hill Town.
"contract, track Tyrone's spatial transfer residual signal."
"Signal locked, sir. The last detected energy fluctuation point is at St. Joseph's abandoned church on the east side of town. Approximately 1.5 kilometers from your current location."
William's thoughts were clear.
Cloak's Dark Dimension transfer, while convenient, was not without limitations.
Every long-distance transfer or transfer carrying heavy objects would place a significant burden on him.
Having just carried three people and half a ton of Armor at once, Tyrone's condition definitely wouldn't be too good right now.
He had to find them as quickly as possible.
