Liana slowly emerged from her hiding place. David turned and was surprised to see Liana there.
"Liana?" David voice sounded slightly shocked.
Liana did not answer, she just walked closer. Their eyes met in a tense silence. Liana stared at David, trying to figure out if David was badly hurt. Her gaze then fell on David knuckles, which were now red and slightly bruised.
"Your hands, Sir..." Liana whispered worriedly.
David immediately hid his hands behind his back. "It's nothing, Liana. Just a slight slip."
Liana shook her head. She know David was lying. She had witnessed the entire fight.
"Don't lie, Mr. David. Let's sit down for a moment," Liana requested, her voice carrying an undeniable tone of disappointment and firmness.
David, who was rarely contradicted, was forced to comply. The two of them sat down on an old wooden park bench.
"Wait here. I'll get the first-aid kit," Liana said quickly, then hurried off towards the villa.
