89. Reencounter with Otto
Yun Ling flicked Li Sushang's head hard with his finger.
"Ouch! That hurts!"
Li Sushang cried out in pain, immediately squatted down, held her forehead with her hand, and tears welled up in her eyes.
"Her talent is alright, but her temperament is just average. She'll have to hone it slowly." Yun Ling shook his head and turned back to the village.
"Does it have to be this realistic... I thought I was really going to die," Li Sushang muttered in dissatisfaction.
However, she has entered the 'Great Void' level! The shackles that had troubled her for several years were broken through after just one battle with Yun Ling!
"Long live my martial uncle!"
Li Sushang shouted excitedly from outside.
Yun Ling threw a wooden scabbard, which struck Li Sushang precisely on the head.
"Ahua is asleep, don't make noise."
"Oh, oh..." Li Sushang quickly lowered her voice.
Yun Ling carefully covered Ahua with clothes.
"Uncle-Master, is this Ahua your lover?" Li Sushang asked with a gossipy look on her face.
Upon hearing this, Yun Ling frowned.
"You have no manners." Yun Ling punched her on the head again.
"If you don't want to talk, then don't talk! Why did you hit my head?!" Li Sushang shouted.
"You're not very smart to begin with; maybe you'll be able to think even faster after taking a couple of hits." Yun Ling rolled his eyes.
"Oh!" Li Sushang stuck out her tongue at Yun Ling, made a face, and vented her dissatisfaction.
As dusk fell, a series of footsteps drew closer.
"It's up to you now. You should be able to handle it." Yun Ling sat still, unwilling to move.
"This...this must be at least a hundred people, right?" Li Sushang's lips twitched slightly.
"Are you scared? Then I'll do it." Yun Ling made a move to get up.
"Hey, Uncle-Master, you should sit down," Li Sushang said hurriedly.
If Yun Ling were to take action, these people would probably be wiped out in an instant. What would be the point of her testing the sword then?
"I'm afraid you'll go easy on them and end up getting yourself killed," Yun Ling warned.
"Don't worry, Uncle-Master, I know what I'm doing," Li Sushang said confidently.
The eagle outside looked at the four corpses on the ground, which had been cold for a long time, and wondered whether he should go back to the village.
After all, he didn't know if it was a trap or not. If it was a trap, there was no need to be so blatant about it.
"Are you Eagle, the leader of the Golden Sands Gang?" Li Sushang asked, looking at the man in the lead.
"So you're the one who killed my men?" Eagle's eyes widened suddenly, giving off an aura of authority without anger.
"I...I guess so," Li Sushang nodded in response.
"Alright, looks like we're getting another shipment today. Get it!" The eagles didn't care about any underworld rules and just started ganging up on the enemy.
But this wasn't a crisis for Li Sushang. Even if she remained at the Clear Mirror level, she could handle these small fry with ease.
Not to mention that she has now entered the Great Void level, and can basically take down a whole group of these people with a single sword strike.
After Yun Ling's reminder, Li Sushang no longer held back. After all, these Golden Sand Gang members had committed numerous evils, and killing them would be considered eliminating a scourge for the people.
Seeing how powerful Li Sushang was, the eagle had already decided to retreat and was preparing to escape in the chaos.
"Don't even think about running!" Li Sushang conjured several swords and attacked the eagle.
The eagle slammed its fist into the ground, unleashing its signature move.
"The tiger's roar shook the heavens!" Countless dust storms rose, obstructing Li Sushang's vision and causing her to lose sight of her target, thus failing to kill the eagle.
Li Sushang hurriedly unleashed her sword energy to disperse the sand and dust; the eagle was gone...
Without Eagle's leadership, the Golden Sands Gang was thrown into chaos, its morale collapsed, and it was soon wiped out by Li Sushang.
Meanwhile, the eagle was speeding away into the distance.
This difference in strength was definitely beyond his ability to handle. Although she was a little inexperienced and hesitated a bit when killing, her internal and external skills far surpassed his own.
He can't take that risk.
A figure slowly appeared in front of him within his field of vision.
"Get out of my way!"
Without saying a word, the eagle prepared to kill the person blocking its way.
Yun Ling casually swung his sword, severing both of his legs.
The eagle instantly fell to the ground, tumbling several times and getting a mouthful of sand.
"Who...who are you?!" The eagle's eyes flashed with horror.
"The Crown Prince of the Ming Empire, Yun Ling." Yun Ling narrowed his eyes.
He had seen the portrait of this guy before. He was a former fourth-rank commander, the one who killed the third prince during the rebellion, and also Xiao Kongming's father-killer and mother-killer.
"What..." The eagle's pupils contracted. Upon hearing this identity, it already knew that its life was coming to an end.
But he still wanted to struggle, so he circulated his inner energy again, preparing to fight Yun Ling to the death.
Yun Ling swung his sword again, and the eagle completely lost its life.
"Take his head back to Xiao Kongming. She should be very happy," Yun Ling murmured.
He casually found a cloth bag and put the corpse inside.
The Golden Sands Gang has been destroyed, and he has accomplished his purpose for coming here.
Li Sushang also dealt with all the bandits, but unfortunately, the eagle escaped.
"The eagle is dead; it's about time I went back." Yun Ling carried a tattered cloth bag, and traces of blood dripped from the bag onto the sand on the ground.
"Huh? You already killed him?" Li Sushang scratched her head.
"Well, he was my enemy, so I took care of him while I was at it," Yun Ling explained.
Suddenly, a handsome blond man with a striking appearance stepped forward.
Yun Ling looked at him, as if something was flashing through his mind.
"It's you? What brings you to Shenzhou?"
Although they only met once, only two people survived the Battle of the Kipchak Steppe.
This is one of them.
"Hello, I am Otto Apocalypse. I have come to Shenzhou to find the Immortal Jingwei." Otto had obviously recognized Yun Ling as well.
"Is there something wrong?" Yun Ling asked, somewhat puzzled.
"I want to seek resurrection method from the immortals..."
Otto suddenly tilted his head and looked behind Yun Ling.
"The Immortal Jingwei?"
"Huh?!" Li Sushang thought the other person was calling her.
However, she soon noticed that Otto's gaze wasn't on her, but rather... on Ahua behind her!
Wait, is Ahua the Immortal Jingwei?!
"Didn't the Immortal Jingwei ascend to heaven?" Li Sushang was completely kept in the dark, knowing nothing at all.
"Ling, are you going back?" Ahua rubbed his eyes and came to Yun Ling's side to ask in a low voice.
"Okay, we'll go back in a bit," Yun Ling said, patting her head to comfort her.
Otto's eyes widened involuntarily upon seeing this.
He was certain that the person in front of him was the Immortal Jingwei he had seen years ago, but... why did she look like this?
"Let's sit down and talk first." Yun Ling lit a campfire and pulled Ahua to sit down beside him.
Otto nodded. He had come here to find Jingwei, but he hadn't expected to run into her here.
Li Sushang sensed the strong smell of gossip and prepared to sit down and enjoy the juicy gossip.
