"As soon as I slept ,I found myself inside this strange forest…..
I immediately realized it was the vast forest that runs along side our village ,,, but it looks different now,,, more of ancient than the civilized one we have here.
Then I heard these strange noises and voices coming from the far end of the forest..
There was a heavy fog surrounding the forest,, so deep and densed I felt I was being drawn into….
I decided to follow the voices to see it source ,,, I started walking for what seems like hours to only be back to where I started from
I was confused...
Then there was this sudden gush of wind,, it circled around me like a tornado, the voices became so loud that it wasn't bearable
I tried covering my ears with both my hands but it was to no avail... the noises got deeper
I sat there,, and crawled myself into a ball
I felt so lonely
Then I heard a voice
The person was telling me to not fight it,, to embrace it...
I wanted to ask how,,,
I did have plenty questions on my mind that I wanted to ask, I felt lost
only to find out I couldn't even speak
The only thing I was making was voiceless sounds….
My throat itched, I was thirsty
Then I decided to stop fighting the force that circled me ,,,, as cold and unbearable as it was,, I stood firm….
Then all of a sudden something changed,, I closed my eyes,, feeling so comforted
Instead of cold I felt something else,,,, as if the wind was my better half,, I felt complete…
The feeling was so beautiful and yet scary
My body started to lift up,,,, floating in the air,,,, the leaves danced around me…
" You've finally found us,,, we are you and you are us,,," I heard someone whisper into my ears.
And then I heard a little boy's cry.
There was a message,,, the wind carried the message to me
" A boy needs our help,,, we should go and help him Nia,,the voice whispered again
I didn't even get the chance to grasped what was happening,, my feet carried me up,,sprinting forward I was literally walking in the air,,, this was so amazing,,, I felt so much alive
The wind carried me to where the boy's voice was coming from.
I saw a little boy,,, barely able to walk and leaning in a little to support himself from being swayed by the wind,,
He was being dragged by some bunch of guys….
The terrified look on his face said it all
He has been kidnapped
From what I saw they were dragging him somewhere
He refused to move to only land himself a whip....
I flinched,,, my heart ached for the boy
I was so angry at the sight infront of me that I felt something snapped inside me
And at that moment I felt this power surging through me, almost knocking me out
My gaze hazed,,, something inside me was controlling all my moves,,, my hair turned grey,,then one wave of my hand sent a decent amount of strong waves towards the guys,,, sending them flying in different directions….
They barely made sense of what was happening then the second wave came out of my body and hitting them hard,,,throwing them side ways…
They frantically searched for where a wind that stronger and threatening was coming from
When they realized how much danger they were in,,, they left the boy behind and ran into the woods for their life...
The boy wasn't from our village,,,
Then it dawned on me, I wasn't in my village ,
I was far away from home
well I couldn't quite recognize where I was ….
But with the boy's outfit I knew he was from the south…
I assembled all the energy left inside me and sent a message with the wind,, to help guide the family, in finding him….
After that I collapsed onto the floor.
I heard someone screaming my name , and it became louder and louder….
I jolted awake,,, to find my Makuna sitting next beside me on my bed
She wore a worried look,,, as if I died and just got resurrected
My bed was wet from the excess sweat I released when I was asleep
She quickly helped wiped my face with a towel and gave me something I saw to be medicine to take in
The taste was horrible
She sensed my discomfort and persuaded me into drinking it
" Drink all dear, it will help you replenish your energy ", she nodded slightly
"I heard a nightmare,,, but this one feels …..
" Different ", she added, as if knowing exactly what transpired in my nightmare
When I was inside my chamber, ,,, I heard you screaming, only to come and realize you twitching uncontrollably...she explained
And I saw something,, your hair color was changing.
I was surprised at first,, but I knew exactly what was happening
It's just that the process it takes,, yours was different….

Well Makuna I felt something strong inside me,,, it made me feel at peace
And the surprisingly I was able to locate a kid who was in help,,, I helped him
And I heard a voice too, telling me not to fight my Dahani,, and to embrace it

Originally our Dahani was to harness the wind,she continued to explain further
A wind so strong that when you launch a punch at someone on the battlefield,, it sent enemies flying in different directions and landing with a hard thud on their back…

One particular day I made my way through the woods,,, I was only seven by then
We were playing our usual hide and seek game
It was my turn to find my friends,,, but I got lost
I was just searching for a way out when I heard the wind whistled….
It was only at a particular place and I found it strange
Curiosity got the better of me,, I decided to check what was happening…
I took slow steps towards where the noise was coming from,,, then I saw something like a tornado circling in the air,, sweeping all leaves with it and it looked like someone was controlling it
I quickly hid behind one of the trees,,, peaking at what was happening
It was Kario that was manipulating the wind.
He had his back facing me
He was so focused I thought I could sneak away,, but all of a sudden he mentioned my name
" So you're a little sneaky thing right,Nia" I was startled
" Nnnn…no,,, ", it's not that,,, I'm just playing hide and seek with my friends
I thought this place was a better spot to hide,,plus the trees are big here, I could easily hide at the back of one,,, no one will notice me because of my size",, I said innocently knowing well it was all a lie
He knew better, he knew I was lying
He turned to face me,,, I was terrified
His eyes,they were glowing
His blue pupil had this golden flicker inside,, glowing restlessly
But it quickly disappeared
I was so shocked

And all of a sudden I felt sleepy,,, not knowing what was happening, I fought hard to regain consciousness,,, but it didn't work
A pair of hands caught me before I could land on the floor,,, then there was total darkness

I felt someone shake me slightly before I jolted back to reality..
It was Ayla
"What happened Nia,,, you've been gone for an hour now,,, we've been searching the whole hoods but there was no traces of you,,, we checked this spot several times but we couldn't find you,, only for you to miraculously appear here soundly sleeping,,, you made us worried

" It's not anything serious to worry about, it will turn back in three to four hours…. She dismissed it
