After Itachi left, Hidan, his objective accomplished returned to the hut. With a flicker of space-time, Kamui warped him into the tower within his Blood Sea dimension.
There, he looked at the two women lying unconscious. Their bodies were streaked with blood, pale but… still breathing.
A grin spread across his face. Of course they were alive. He had spent precious kill points to keep them that way.
Hidan had twisted his curse technique so that their bodies appeared dead... completely devoid of pulse, yet in truth, they could still be saved.
Even if Itachi had inspected them thoroughly, he would never have noticed.
Satisfied, Hidan turned his attention away from the women and brought up the familiar blue screen of his system.
"Host Panel!"

And yet… all of them had become Hidan's sacrifices tonight. Their deaths had given him enough points to reach the Eternal Mangekyō.
"Upgrade—Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan!" Hidan's hands trembled with excitement as he gave the command.
At once, the tomoe within his eyes shifted, warping into a new pattern. The overwhelming surge of chakra pouring out of him dwarfed even most Kage, and in that instant, he became the second man in history to awaken the Eternal Mangekyō.
"Please select your Mangekyō ability," the system's mechanical voice intoned.
Hidan didn't hesitate.
"Kotoamatsukami!"
The moment he spoke, his vision blurred. Then clarity returned and with it, knowledge of Shisui's fabled genjutsu. The strongest illusion, able to bend another's will without resistance.
He staggered for a moment as the weight of the new power settled in. In his body, he could faintly sense a second Susanoo stirring. Two Susanoo within one vessel...something unprecedented.
"Hahaha…" He clenched his fists, feeling the storm of chakra rolling within him. His reserves now rivaled those of a tailed beast. Not infinite but terrifying nonetheless.
Hidan leapt high, descending into the Blood Sea. Standing on the scarlet waves, he roared:
"Susanoo!"
Flames of crimson chakra erupted, shaping into a colossal figure. This was no skeletal husk, it was a towering warrior with a tengu mask and blazing wings.
The giant's presence alone shook the sea, waves crashing against the floating islands.
Rumble…
Susanoo's feet sank dozens of meters into the ocean, steam hissing as fire evaporated the scarlet waters. Smoke rose in columns.
Hovering before the giant's forehead, Hidan marveled at the destructive might that radiated from it. He was drunk on the sensation.
"Blood Reaver Blade!"
At his command, the blazing sword in Susanoo's right hand extended, cleaving forward like a streak of crimson lightning.
Rumble!!
The strike pierced through a nearby island, magma bubbling out of the crater as the ground itself melted, the air filling with the acrid stench of sulfur.
"Hahahaha!" Hidan's laughter echoed. This was the might of his own Susanoo, a cursed warrior that could reduce entire lands to ash.
"Crimson Magatama Barrage!"
Three massive blood-red magatama spun from Susanoo's hand. They streaked through the air, detonating across three different islands.
Each impact unleashed roaring flames, reducing stone to molten magma that poured sizzling into the sea.
"What a glorious feeling…" Hidan sighed. This rough, destructive style of battle suited him perfectly.
Though it was only a test, he had tasted the true charm of Susanoo's might.
The red giant dissolved into the night sky. Standing above the boiling sea, Hidan gazed down at the scarlet waters, already plotting his next move.
Power. He would never stop. What he had now was only the foundation. To truly tower above the world, he needed more...so much more.
And then he remembered. The forest where he had once been lost at the start of his journey.
He had promised himself that when he became strong, he would burn that forest to the ground.
Hidan's grin widened.
"Kamui."
The space around him twisted violently, faster than ever before. In a blink, his figure vanished from the Blood Sea dimension.
As for the two women… they'd soon be receiving his special "training." Until then, they'd be kept inside the Kamui dimension.

Inside the Hokage's office, Sarutobi Hiruzen sat stiffly behind his desk, a scroll trembling in his hands.
The report was unbelievable, the Uchiha clan had been wiped out. By their own prodigy, Uchiha Itachi.
His old heart tightened. He had suspected Danzō's schemes, but not that he would move so swiftly… and conceal everything from him.
Rage welled in Hiruzen's chest. He had to demand answers. If Danzō thought the Hokage could be ignored, he was gravely mistaken.
But before he could rise, a spiraling vortex formed in the air before him. Space distorted, twisting until a figure emerged.
"Yo…" Hidan muttered awkwardly, staring at the old man braced with his staff in hand.
"Whew…" Hiruzen let out a shaky breath, his defensive stance easing. "You damn brat, nearly scared the life out of me."
Then his gaze froze.
"…Your eyes!"
Shock gripped the Third Hokage. He stared at Hidan's gleaming Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. For a moment, it was as if he were staring into the eyes of a reborn First Hokage.
Hidan smirked proudly. He had shown the eyes deliberately...not just to win Hiruzen's trust, but also to be able to use his newfound power.
