To them, this mysterious man who had suddenly appeared and opened the Eight Gates at the cost of his life…
He must have been prepared to die for Konoha.
Both Kakashi and Guy felt a deep, sorrowful respect.
They believed only Guy could survive the Gates without fatal backlash — so they assumed this man was burning his life away.
They had no idea Hidan was simply kill-stealing and didn't give a damn about Konoha.
The battle began quickly… and ended even faster.

With Hidan joining the battlefield, it became a complete one-sided massacre.
The Sand and Sound shinobi weren't fools.

Hidan's complete slaughter erased every clue about Orochimaru's plan…
