The storm howled like a beast unchained.
Mud and fire mixed beneath a shattered sky, thunder clawing through the night as a boy and the Demon King collided.
The first strike shattered the air.
A red arc — so fast it split rain in half — met the black talon of the King. The impact sent a shockwave through the village, collapsing rooftops and tearing trees from their roots.
The boy slid backward, knees digging into the mud, knife trembling in his hand. His small frame heaved with every breath.
The Demon King towered above him, his grin wide and cruel, the wound on his arm smoking where the boy's blade had grazed it.
> "You dare draw my blood, human?"
"I should make you live long enough to regret that."
Yochiro spat blood, his crimson eyes burning hotter.
> "Then try."
> " That you last try you useless demon"
The King's claws tore forward — faster than thunder.
Yochiro ducked beneath one, leapt over the second, and slammed his knife into the third. Black blood sprayed. But before he could move again, a claw struck his side, hurling him through a wooden post.
Crack.
Pain seared through his ribs.
He planted his knife into the mud and rose again, hair dripping, eyes fierce.
> "You're still standing?" the King growled.
"You should be dust."
Yochiro smirked.
> "You talk too much."
In a blink—he vanished.
A flash of red behind the King. A sudden slice through flesh. The monster roared, spinning, but the boy was gone again, moving faster than sight.
Each step was sharper, faster, deadlier.
For the first time in centuries…
The Demon King felt fear.
> "This… is not human strength. What are you?"
Yochiro's knife dripped black blood.
> "I don't know."
"But I know what I'm not."
"I'm not your prey anymore."
The ground cracked as the King summoned molten fire from beneath.
> "Then die as something else!"
The infernal blast swallowed the boy whole, turning night into day. Villagers watching from afar screamed as the explosion melted stone and set the earth ablaze.
Then—silence.
Until a single sound.
Step.
Through the smoke walked Yochiro.
His knife was gone — melted — but his eyes glowed faint red, and on his chest, under his torn shirt, a crimson mark pulsed, shining faintly through the rain.
The King's grin vanished.
> "That… mark… impossible."
> He gone be a real demon now
Yochiro looked down at it — the faint red light beating in rhythm with his heart.
> "What is this…?"
But his question faded as his anger surged.
He raised his arm — and clenched his fist.
The mark on his chest flared brighter.
A gust of pure force exploded from him.
The King's eyes widened.
> "That power… where—"
"This human is truly something else."
Before he could finish, Yochiro moved.
A single step — and he appeared right in front of the Demon King.
His punch landed in the creature's chest like a thunderbolt.
BOOM!
The explosion threw fire and debris across the battlefield. The King screamed, his body ripping apart under the unseen force.
When the light faded, he lay broken in the mud, chest caved in, the rain washing away his blood.
> "You… are no human…"
Yochiro stood over him, panting, chest mark still glowing faintly.
He looked down, eyes dark, voice cold.
> "You're right."
"I'm not human "
"I am the demon who kills demons to protect people.
The Demon King's body turned to ash, carried away by the storm.
Yochiro stared at the sky — his mark still glowing faintly like a curse burned into his soul.
> "If this is the price to kill monsters like you…"
"Then I'll become one."
Lightning flashed.
The mark dimmed.
And the boy whispered the words that would echo through eternity:
> "From this night on—
I am the Devil Destroyer."
