A week. Just a week till the egghead started his genocide.
That's the deadline that was set for Ryoken, to pace up and wrap up things in this dimension. He necessarily didn't want to stop the war completely.
If he were to stop it now, sure Akaba would be stopped for good, but that would still leave Zarc. Either he had to go meet up with each one of them, and take out the power of the supreme king from them similar to how he did with Yuri, or just let the events play out like Canon.
He planned to cause some chaos and postpone the date that Akaba's plan would start. If he did that, he couldn't stay in this dimension anymore.
The secret base was already done with its construction and could be operated, so he could gather his allies there and task them with stopping Akaba's forces in this dimension.
He planned on taking Yuri and Serena with himself, as it was better to have them close instead of risking them being near the professor. There were also the three remaining subjects of the Quattro project.
So in a single day after being informed by the professor, he made his plan. It was quite a simple plan.
He would go and meet up with Akaba, Use Furious Dragon and Medea's powers to destroy the laboratory and free the subjects.
Then he would move them to his base and go with his party to the XYZ dimension.
The party members were Akiza, Serena, Yuri, and the Quattro project subjects aka Jesse, Joey and Reginald.
Zane, Aster, Chazz and Alexis would remain in the fusion dimension. Zane and Alexis would create the resistance force, whilst Chazz and Aster would become Akaba's army's commanders.
That way they would still have access to any plan that Akaba has and can hit him from where he expects the least when the time comes.
That's how the plan was supposed to go, but Akaba once again had outdone him and asked him to meet up again, this time in the laboratory.
What made it worse was that when Ryoken arrived, he and Akaba weren't alone.
Other than the pest, which was the nickname he made for the Doktor, three other figures were standing motionless, their eyes hollow.
Obviously he knew them, they were the three people remaining from the project Quattro.
"Ryo... they're being mind washed." Medea told him, appearing beside him.
'What give it away? the blank eyes?'
"Ryo this isn't the time to be joking about something like this. That parasite we saw before, it's already in their brain."
Ryoken didn't say anything and great Akaba like he always does "Hello Professor. May I know why you called for me?"
Akaba didn't answer, just snapped his finger and the moment he did, the trio raised their duel disks, ready to duel Ryoken.
Ryoken raised a brow "What's the meaning of this?"
"Ryo should I kill him?" Medea asked
'No, we solve everything the way we always do, with children's playing card games.'
"..."
Medea was at a loss for words. Why couldn't they just kill someone who obviously was a hindrance to them? did it really have to be done through dueling?
"No need to be worried Ryoken, I just wanted to test the strength of these three aspiring duelists against you."
Akaba's answer automatically translated to "I'm going to test your skills with these three legendary duelists to see if they can keep you on a leash or should I use a parasite on you too" In Ryoken's mind.
That's exactly how a guy like Akaba would think. There's no way he would just trust Ryoken like that, so he most likely was testing to see if his newly acquired weapons could defeat his strongest weapon.
"I see. So I duel each one of them once?"
Akaba shook his head "No. You will duel the three of them at the same time. I thought a duel like this would be challenging enough for you."
"Ryo we can still kill him~" Medea whispered in his ear. Interestingly enough, Ryoken was actually considering it this time.
Dueling each one of them without revealing all his cards to Akaba was already a hard task, now he had to duel the three of them? Might as well tell him to duel whilst wearing a blindfold.
Then again if Zane knew about something like this, he would say something like "A true duelist can even duel while they're blindfolded."
But if he was honest with himself, he didn't dislike the idea of dueling three legendary duelists at the same time.
It would be similar to the duel against paradox in bonds beyond time, except that he would be the one playing the role of the villain.
"Fine by me. So how will it be, the rules I mean. Do I get 12K life point?" He asked, trying to see if he had any advantages or not.
"Battle royale. the four of you will start with 4k life points and 5 cards, no one can declare an attack on their first turn too."
' Aha, so I don't have the life points advantage too... Medea what do you say about killing Akaba now?'
Medea smiled in return, showing that she would Kill Akaba in a matter of seconds. But once again, Ryoken changed his mind.
He loved the idea of killing Akaba, since well the guy was resolved enough to sacrifice the whole world. But the thing is other than the canon events going stray, he didn't know how it would Impact Akaba's daughter, Ray.
'Three opponents... well I know which deck I'm choosing.' He took out one of the many decks he had and put in his duel disk.
"Ready?" He asked, looking at the three duelists in front of him.
The trio looked at Akaba, who gave them a nod and Ryoken initiated the duel.
"Duel!"

"I'll go first." Ryoken declared, slamming the monster card in his hand on his duel disk "I summon Aluber the Jester of Despia!"

As he added the card, he activated immediately "Activate Spell card, Branded Fusion! I fuse Fallen Albaz with Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous from my deck. Fusion summon!"
"Forces of Light and dark join together to burn everything! Appear, Level 8! Albion the branded dragon!"

"When Albion is special summoned, I can fusion summon by Banishing cards from the hand, field and graveyard. I fuse Fallen of Albaz in my graveyard with Despian Tragedy in my hand. Fusion summon!"
"Forces of darkness join together to burn everything! Appear, Level 8! Lubellion the Searing Dragon!"

"Lubellion's effect activates, when summoned I can fusion summon by returning cards fromy banishment, graveyard, Field and my hand. But before that I chain to it the effect of my Despian tragedy that is banished. I can add a despia card to my hand. After that I return Fallen of Albaz and Albion the Branded Dragon on my field to fusion summon!"
Akaba looked at Ryoken with Interest as he continuously fusion summoned by using the effects of his monster.
"I fuse Fallen of Albaz and Albion, to ignite the ultimate winter!"
The air in the laboratory instantly plummeted to sub-zero temperatures. Frost crept across the field as Ryoken raised a single card toward the sky, the holographic interface glowing with a violent, frozen light.
"From the depths of the frozen abyss, where memories turn to shards and power crystallizes into godhood—emerge! Let your frozen wings shatter the very heavens!"
"Glacial heart of the fallen, consume the light of the stars! Become the absolute zero that halts time itself! Fusion Summon! Descend now, Level 8! Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon!"
As the Fusion Vortex collapsed, a massive pillar of sapphire-colored ice erupted from the center of the field. The ground cracked under the sheer weight of the beast. Through the swirling blizzard, a monstrous silhouette emerged.
The new monster loomed over the field, Its body a jagged fortress of shimmering, translucent armor that looked less like scales and more like polished diamonds. From its back, four massive crystalline shards—the Iceblades—levitated in a semi-circle, pulsating with a rhythmic, ominous purple glow.

Everyone in the laboratory felt the pressure of the new monster, it was on a different level from the ones he previously had summoned.
But much to their surprise, Ryoken wasn't done yet. As a meta player, there was no end to his turn. he still had one more monster to bring out to make sure nothing goes wrong.
"Activate Field spell, Despia, Theater of the Branded. Once per turn I can fusion summon a level 8 or higher fusion monster from my extra deck, by using the cards from my field and hand. I fuse Aluber on my field and Dramaturge of Despia from my hand."
"Forces of Despair come together to bring out a greater Despair! appear the dragon that collects joy and sorrow as tax, Level 8! Masquerade the Blazing Dragon!"
Masquerade the Blazing Dragon 2500ATK/2000DEF
"Dramaturge effect activates, if it is used as a fusion material, I can special summon it to my field. I summon it in the defence position, set a card and end my turn."

Everyone watched Ryoken's field in silence and couldn't utter a single word. He had fusion summoned 4 times in a single turn, and had stacked his field with strong monsters.
Turn 2
Draw Phase
Joey drew a card, and looked at it before adding it to his hand. He felt a headache in his head as he looked at Ryoken's field full of monsters.
Standby phase 1
"I activate Red-eyes Insight, I discard Red-eyes Dragon from my hand to add a Red-eyes spell/trap card to my hand."
Ryoken raised his hand to stop him "Masquerade's effect activates. When you activate an effect, be it monster, spell card or trap card, you take 600 points of damage."
Joey LP: 4000 - 600 -> 3400
Joey grunted in annoyance. 600 life points each time he activated a card effect? he couldn't believe he was getting charged with taxes just to play a card game.
Joey slammed the next card into his Duel Disk. "I activate the Spell Red-Eyes Fusion! By merging the Red-Eyes in my Graveyard with the Meteor Dragon in my deck, I call forth the heavy hitter! Come on out, Meteor Black Comet Dragon!"
But before the effect could proceed, his life points dropped by another 600.
Joey LP: 3400 - 600 -> 2800
The ground cracked as a meteor scorched the sky, slamming into the field. From the crater rose the obsidian dragon, its wings wreathed in white-hot magma.

"Now, Comet Dragon's effect! I send one Red-Eyes from my deck to the Grave to hit ya with half its ATK as damage! That's 1200 points of damage!"
Joey LP: 2800 - 600 -> 2200
Ryoken didn't flinch nor was he surprised. He obviously knew of the effects of Red-eyes monsters such as Black comet.
He himself had Dragoon, the ultimate boss monster of Red-eyes deck so this was not intimidating to him.
As the fireball erupted from Comet Dragon's maw, Ryoken gestured toward the icy behemoth in the center. "Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon, silence the flame. I activate its effect. By sending Albion the Branded Dragon from my Extra Deck to the Graveyard, I banish your monster. Now."
A blast of absolute-zero frost erupted from Mirrorjade's throat. The ice climbed up the Comet Dragon's legs, shattering the magma and encasing the beast in a jagged tomb before it could even launch its attack. With a sickening crack, the comet dragon vanished into the void.
"He didn't even let the effect resolve..." Akaba muttered as he saw Joey's monster get banished in a single move.
Joey set a card face down and begrudgingly ended his turn.

Yes, I'm back. Well not completely but yeah. The protests has died down, given how the government suppressed them... Well you know how.
Things are not back to normal, with USA and Iran going back and fourth for negotiations on what to do, which if they don't come up with an agreement USA will start the war againsty country.
