Lucian's POV-
Adrian! No, how did he know I am here? Jayden! He must have told him.
I ran towards the backdoor. I walked out and jumped into the neighbors garden.
I tip-toed to his main gate and then ran outside, few... Adrian did not see me.
After a minute, Adrian walked back towards his car and drove off.
I went back to my guesthouse, took the car keys and went downstairs.
After driving for almost an hour, I realized I had no idea, where to go?
The highway felt endless, I took a U-turn and started to head back to the city. The air was heavy, filled with dust. Soon, the sun started to set. The sky looked like a beautifully painted canvas. The chirping of the birds was soothing...
And then I remembered... the night when Aria and I fought those guys...
But still I lack, the answer... Who were they? I had asked Stella to find out but no updates till now.
Just wait Stella, you know I don't like waiting but still...
She irritates me very much sometimes.
I didn't realize, I had entered the city but where am I going?
The place was new, maybe a unexplored area.
I drove further, the house were simple, not too luxurious but enough suitable for daily living.
There were simple cars and children were playing in the park...
I saw a shop at distance. I parked my car and went to the shop.
"One soda, please!", I asked.
The shopkeeper placed a soda bottle in front of me,"2 pounds.", the shopkeeper said.
I placed the cash on the counter and moved out.
There I saw some children admiring and clicking photos with my car.
I did not went there and instead took a seat on the nearby bench. They were soo cute so it did not bother me at all.
But then... A guy came from around the corner.
"Get way, you filthy creatures! That's my car!", he shouted.
I immediately stood up. And that guy, he was taking pictures in front of my car.
Bastard!
Those children are soo afraid of him. Might be a bully.
Long time, no fights, my hands are craving a cheek.
I stepped forward but then I saw someone familiar...
Aria!
She steeped forward and pushed him. " How do you dare say that, and aunt never gave you any expensive car!", she shouted at him.
Her cousin? Or brother, maybe! But she lives here, Those children know her.
The children came forward and hugged her.
"Move away, the children are taking photos!", she said and shoved him back.
But the guy did something that got on my nerves...
" You brat!", he shouted and pushed Aria. She didn't resist nor fought but just got up and,
" Listen, aunt will not be happy. Brother, please let them have it for just a moment.", she pleaded.
"In your dreams!", he shouted and kicked her in the stomach.
She fell down, I could see bandages on her hand, knees and head.
Just came from hospital, I pulled out my mask, wore it.
Picked up a stick. It was not hard but thick, enough to make him realize his mistake.
"So, another dog is messing around? huh!", I shouted at him.
"Who are you?" he shouted back.
I unlocked the car, and he went speechless.
"Whatever, just a rented car? You bastard, do you know who am I?", he pushed me.
"I am Cassian Crowe! My dad is the manager at the Blackveil Corporation and it is owned by the Valle if you don't know. He will make sure you suffer!!", he came forward and held my collars.
Suddenly, his dad appeared from nowhere...
"You brat! You brought a guy, just to bully my son!", he shouted at Aria.
"Uncle, noo, please, uncle it hurts.", she cried.
I couldn't help but kick him hard. Aria was about to fall, but I held her.
"Lu-Lu-Lucian?", she whispered.
Her voice trembled. My name... I hadn't heard it in days, and yet it broke me.
My eyes became wet, do they torture her like this everyday?
Then you have to pay the price. "I'll save you.", I whispered back.
"So you are the manager at Blackveil Corporation? Want a demotion?" I stepped forward.
"Huh! Who will give me that?", He asked laughing like a monster, "You?".
I pulled out my phone and dialed Mr. Stephen's number.
"Hello Mr. Stephen. I want to talk about something important." I said, the call was already on speaker.
[Mr. Valle, are you planning to return today? If you are then I'll try to prepare your plane!]
"No need just help me with the company, the manager at Blackveil Corporation, fire him." I ordered.
[But..] he hesitated.
"Dare to question your CEO?" I asked in a deep, cold voice.
"Then, I have a better person to be fired.", I said
[No need Mr. Valle, I'll add him on a conference call and you order him yourself] the voice fainted, and then the manager's phone rang.
He looked towards me, fear was eating him alive, sweat formed on his forehead.
He picked up. "Hello, Mr. Stephen. What can I do?" he mumbled.
"Mr. Valle is on the call, you are fired.", Stephen ordered.
The phone fell from the manger's hand and he collapsed onto my feet, "Mr. Valle please, forgive me. My son is stupid and I am a family man, please have some sympathy." he pleaded.
I pulled away, took of my mask. And helped Aria to get up. "Lucian, so it's really you?", she asked and suddenly clutched onto my coat in pain.
"If someone dare to harm her, I don't have the word sympathy in my dictionary. Because Lucian does not like rules to be broken. And of course, I don't let anyone touch what's mine." I said and held Aria.
" To the hospital. " I whispered.
"But, what about my grandma? She is in..."
