Chapter 5 - Community

Thinking about how these things happened, I pondered while staring at the black screen of my cell phone. When I was in the hospital before, all I did was sleep without thinking about what was happening.

First, I died while saving a little girl from being hit by debris from a building that ended up falling on me. Fortunately, I don't remember the pain when the debris hit me.

Second, related to that, in this world I am a dozen years younger and my appearance is very different from my old body. With slender fingers and pale skin, I am still not used to my current appearance.

Third, I don't remember which world I entered. The last novel I read that day was set in a fantasy world that was the opposite of the world I'm in now. Honestly, it's like the Earth I knew in my old world. Maybe after I search for information on the forum, I can find the differences.

Thinking about all this makes my brain feel like it's exploding. I even feel awkward around my father. When he talks, I just listen to every word he says and respond briefly. I'm really not good at communicating.

"Huff..." I took a deep breath. To distract myself from this complexity, I touched the power button on the phone in my hand—the wallpaper of a hot air balloon floating above the sky with white clouds around it appeared when the phone screen lit up.

The first thing I had to check was the date. My phone screen showed that it was January 2026. That was seven months after I died.

I swiped my screen and found browser to search for the latest news on internet forums. The first thing I had to confirm now was that this world was 100% the same as my old world. But there were a few things that were different.

An example is the current technological advances that surpass all previous advances. Namely, Virtual Reality in MMORPG games.

For those unfamiliar with MMORPG, Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, or MMORPG for short, is a game where many players play in one world, each with their own characters, going on quests, fighting monsters, or simply having fun while enjoying the content.

By combining VR elements, VRMMORPG was born—a more realistic version. In short, it is an online game that can be played by millions of players at once. Playing it using advanced devices makes the experience even more realistic, so that all players truly feel like they have entered the game world.

I opened the VRMMORPG search column on the daily news portal. Several articles appeared in the search results, but one title immediately caught my attention.

[TWO MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE, HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD PLAY THEO: GATE OF AETHER!]

I clicked on the page.

A long article containing reviews written by news writers appeared on the screen.

January 10, 2026 — Since its release two months ago, Theo: Gate of Aether has been the center of attention in the gaming world. With its advanced Full Dive technology, players can now fully experience the sensation of living in a vast and amazing fantasy world. Every movement, scent, and even the breeze in the world of Aethelgard feels so real, as if you were actually there.

However, the appeal of this game isn't just about its immersive experience. This world also offers a nearly limitless freedom system, where every player can choose their own path in life.

Beyond being a form of entertainment, Theo: Gate of Aether has now evolved into a lucrative business opportunity. Its real-time PvP content broadcast on television has successfully attracted viewers daily, maintaining a stable rating of 5%. Streamers are also capitalizing on the game's popularity by broadcasting their adventures in Aethelgard, generating fantastic income from viewer donations and sponsor support.

Rumor has it that the Theo League E-sports tournament, supported by various well-known mobile phone brands such as GOR, HAIWEY, and others, will also be held soon.

For beginners looking to try Theo: Gate of Aether, the following guide and tips are available to help you avoid making mistakes while playing:

Thank you for reading. See you in the world of Aethelgard!

I read it carefully. From a few points that I picked up as someone who is not particularly fond of games, the theme in this game feels exactly like what I have read in novels.

The only thing that worries me is this—does this game have a PK system?

I imagine new players being bullied by veteran players. If I were in that position, I don't know what would happen to me. I've never even taken martial arts classes. Honestly, the only thing I could do when confronted by PKs would be to give up and hand over all my possessions to the thieves.

It's pretty sad, but that's just how I am.

My eyes stopped at the phrase "Guide: Tips and Tricks" listed on the forum. I clicked on the link, and the page took me to one of the posts in the Theo: Gate of Aether community.

TIPS&TRICKS COME ON!!! IF YOU'RE A NEWBIE, CLICK HERE!

I'm sure the first thing some beginners do when they start playing a game is look for guides on various internet forums.

This new game that's currently trending has been very successful internationally, gaining tens of millions of players in the first two months of its release. How could it not be? This game, which has been in development for over a decade, was finally released when everyone doubted its success. I'm sure the netizens who used to criticize SkyDream studio are now very embarrassed and eating their words as they play this game. The first thing I want to say is congratulations to SkyDream Studio on the success of Theo: Gate Of Aether^^.

(If the developers see this, I hope there's a delivery bird bringing OP items to my ID @yeruchin)

Without further ado, here are some guides suitable for beginners, whether you're F2P or P2W.

1. Choosing weapons

When logging in for the first time, players are required to take a test provided by the system, which involves defeating monsters according to the levels provided. The maximum is nine levels, but reaching level five is good enough. The rewards for the test at level five are:

• 5000 gold,

• 1 random rare-level weapon,

• 1 rare-level armor,

• 1 common-level pants,

• 1 common-level shoes,

• 1 accessory with a Booster EXP +10% effect (this effect will disappear once your character reaches level 10)

An additional 10 Rare-level HP and MP Potions, which is sufficient for the beginning of the game.

Then, before creating your character, it is recommended that you learn the basics of fighting styles. This is so that later in the game you will not be stiff and unfamiliar when fighting monsters. This is especially true for sword users.

This is the most important thing. Because the reward for completing the weapon test is random, players are free to test using weapons according to their comfort level. If you're not used to swords, you can use a magic staff as your starting weapon. However, beginners who are not used to it and are not focused when casting spells may find it difficult to reach level 6. That's why I wrote that level 5 is enough if you're only aiming for the rewards. Because the higher the level, the more rewards you'll get. It doesn't increase the item level.

2. Allocating status points.

At the beginning of the game, the system will give you 15 status points to allocate. You must allocate 5 points to AGI, especially for classes that do not need to increase AGI. This is very important because if you only rely on shoes without increasing AGI, your movements will be very slow to avoid attacks from monsters.

For shoes, there is no need to look for Agility and movement speed stats; it is better to look for shoes that add defense so you can sustain gameplay. Allocating just 5 points is sufficient; it won't slow down your movement in the game. You can freely allocate the remaining points wherever you like, depending on the class you use. For details on the use of stats like STR, INT, DEX, VIT, and others, you can check the guide on the official website.

3. Leveling

For beginners who are confused about where to start, most players usually leveling or do quests. But there is one thing you must do before doing either of those two things.

The first thing is to open the level test rewards you have completed. If the rewards match your class, you can use them as your main weapon until you reach level 15. As far as I remember, the equipment rewards obtained from the level test have unlimited durability. But still, you won't be using that weapon until the end of the game.

On the other hand, if the reward doesn't match your class, you can complete quests from the blacksmith NPC in the beginner village. Do that, and then it's best to choose quests that require a lot of gold. The more gold you spend at the blacksmith NPC, the better the reward. Then, you can use the remaining gold to buy potions or enhance the equipment you're using.

4. Real Money Trading

Although this game supports real-money transactions, I hope beginners won't be tempted to sell the gold they obtain early in the game. The poorer you are in gold, the slower your progress will be.

So don't be reckless with your wallet; you won't be liked by your crush if you're poor. It's heartbreaking to imagine your crush ending up with your friend who's far wealthier than you.

Finally, it's time to wrap up this mini guide, which may be very helpful for players who are new to this game. I apologize if there are any mistakes in my words or if any of my statements offended you, especially at the end of the discussion.

That's all from me, and stay tuned for some tips I'll be writing in the future.

See you on another good day^^
