Vermis Nocturne
A colossal serpent born from the void within the Silver Willow. Its scales shimmered with streaks of black and silver, reflecting faint moonlight as it slithered through the misty darkness. Twin emerald eyes glowed like dying stars, cold and intelligent, watching all that entered its domain.
With every movement, the ground trembled, and the air thickened with killing intent. A single hiss from its fanged maw carried the echo of countless souls — the sound of the Hollow itself breathing through its ancient guardian.
"I just knew this won't be easy"
"Aria, I need you to stay away from the tree and one more thing avoid it's eyes", Elior shouted
"All right", Aria said running to a tree
'Okay, this thing is a grade VII and considered the king of this place'
'When the protagonist and his friends fought it, they had to work together to defeat, the mc even had an awakening'
"Can I get one too here", Elior said with a smirk
Turning to look at Aria, Elior screamed "Aria, you are going to have to shoot some ice spikes towards it".
"All right," Aria said
The vermis nocturne curled its long gigantic body before aiming to strike Elior
With swift precision, using the weight of the strike, Elior spun in the air, before striking it
"Arc veil", Elior shouted
*CLANK*
Elior struck the snake but no damage had been inflicted
"Damn scales that are as hard as titanium", Elior said disgusted.
Turning to look at Aria, Elior smiled
"Look here fucker", Elior screamed.
The Vermis Nocturne turned to look at Aria who shot ice spikes at it but it had no effect
"Damn it"
"Sorry Elior", Aria screamed
Elior glanced at Aria as she focused on charging her mana.
'Got to keep her safe, she is one of the mc in my book', Elior said in thought
Elior turned to the Vermis Nocturne which was taking a position for attack but abruptly stopped.
'Why is it not looking at me again', Elior looked puzzled
Vermis Nocturne lunged its tail towards Aria catching Elior by surprise.
"Block it Aria", Elior screamed as he ran back

Aria hit the tree before passing out.
Elior ran towards her ignoring the serpent to check her pulse
"Don't die, pls don't die", Elior said checking her pulse
Looking at Aria hand, a glimmer of magic dissolved in the air
"Phew, a last-minute defense huh, got to give you credit", Elior said patting her head.
"Just leave it to me, I promise", Elior said as he stood up to face the creature.
'Why didn't our plan, I would attack it face headed and she attack it when it was distracted'.
'That is how the mc and his friends beat it the first time according to my writing'
A quiet pause filled Elior mind
'Unless it is adapting which was what it was not meant to do'.
Turning to look at the Vermis Nocturne, Elior dashed using Arcana to boost his physical stats, Elior struck the Vermis Nocturne before it could defend itself.
The Vermis Nocturne screamed in horror as it unprotected belly was hit with a strike.
Looking down back at Elior, it was enraged, it's emerald green had turned red like crimson.
In an instant, it swung its tail, Elior trying to capitalize but it did not work
Flying and hitting the tree trunk hard, Elior coughed up blood
"Shit"
Elior felt his body ache terribly, his rib cage no longer felt the same like he had cracked a few
"How do I defeat a monster like this", Elior said sitting up and the Vermis Nocturne looked at him
Closing his eyes, Elior was struck again by the Vermis Nocturne ensuring its prey had died.
As Elior began bleeding from his face, he thought to himself
"I have to fight; I got to stand up"
He groaned but his body screamed in agony telling Elior clearly that he was not in any perfect condition
Staggering to his face, Elior held Kurotsume although his grip was not strong, Elior looked back the Vermis Nocturne which was approaching Aria thinking Elior had died
"Hell no, fucker", Elior said in agony
As the Vermis Nocturne approached Aria, time slowed down.
In a daze, the blue screen appeared before Elior
[Kurotsume has responded to your current emotional state]
[Temporary boost in stats for about 30 seconds]
Elior having a half-hearted smile looked at the Vermis Nocturne before saying "Boost".
In an instant, the Vermis Nocturne turned to see its struck prey standing up.
It hissed as it tried to use its tail to hit Elior one last time but Elior moved beautifully.
Dodging the attack, Elior brain went into overdrive
"30 seconds to kill this seconds, 30 seconds of hell for you"
Elior struck the scale creating a sharp cut on the body of Vermis Nocturne.
It screamed as it began to regroup before attack but Elior did not allow it
"I ain't giving you that chance anymore", Elior said as he leapt directly into the air
Elior had used Aura to temporary boost his jump, it was small but enough but the Vermis Nocturne used its crimson blood eyes to look at Elior.
Elior fell.
Making eye contact with the crimson blood eyes of Vermis Nocturne targeted your mind.
Turning to leave Elior back to Aria, Elior stood up quietly before screaming
"Now, Aria"
The Vermis Nocturne was distracted for a brief moment.
Turning, Aria stood up sluggishly as he said with all the strength she had left
"Glacial Shard barrage"
Two big massive ball of ice fell directly into the eyes of the Vermis Nocturne as it screamed but Elior was not done yet
Standing on his feet shakingly, Elior held Kurotsume tightly
In a blink, Elior wind to manipulate his movement making him fast as he ran
28 seconds had passed and Elior had only 2 seconds to kill Vermis Nocturne before it wears off
As Vermis Nocturne screamed, it turned its blood leave the unscaled parts unguarded giving Elior the opening he had looked for
As Elior jumped, Aura covered his sword; his mind, body and soul all in sync as Elior shouted calmly "Arc Veil".
In an instant, Elior sliced the throat of the Vermis Nocturne decapitating it in an instant.
The head fell as it made a loud thud on the ground.
Elior stood looking at its lifeless body before moving slowly towards the Aetherseed tree.
Getting there, Elior looked at the fruit before plucking it.
"Finally," Elior said pocketing the fruit
Turning, Elior felt his head spin before turning to look at Aria who was looking at him with a teary expression
"Oh, I am fainting," Elior said as he fell down unconsciously
"Elior", Aria screamed as he ran approaching him.
