Aiden was wearing a casual red tuxedo with a golden tie to match. He helped himself to the champagne bar where Aria was standing helping herself to the punch
"So, you talked to Elior" Aiden said with a grin
"Yeah, can't believe he dressed so fine today, even combing his hair for the first time" Aria said as she sipped on her wine
Aria occasionally threw glances at Elior when he was not looking but he always seemed to catch her and wave at her.
As Aria sipped on her wine, Aiden stretched his hand towards her
"What are you doing Aiden?" Aria asked shyly
"May I have this dance miss Aria" Aiden said with a grin across his face.
Aria turned to look at Elior but she remembered his word when she asked, so she chose to respect him and took Aiden's hand
As Aiden and Aria made it to the dance floor, they danced happily. They were friends and friends dance all the time.
The dance floor, which students were once afraid to enter, was suddenly filled with students dancing around
Aiden and Aria went to drag their friends which happily obliged.
As they all danced, Elior sipped on his wine.
Someone approached him as he sipped on his wine glass
"You look fancy" a figure said
"I could say the same, Lyra" Elior said as he fixed his gaze on Lyra smiling
"Yeah, just following headmistress advice"
"Then, it was a pretty good one" Elior said smirking
As the music carried on, a smooth waltz filled the air as the hall was filled with the elegance and beauty of the dancing students
"Can you excuse me sis?" Elior asked
"Where will you be off to" Lyra asked with a curious smile
"The bathroom" Elior said as he began walking away
As the ceremony kept going on, the lights suddenly went off
A single light finally came on
"Hello, hello" a figure said tapping the microphone
"Who is that guy? Did the school plan this as well?" a student asked the question
"Oh, yes" the figure responded
"The school planned on this; you can see the chief planner personally sent me"
"See him for yourself" the figure said clapping as all the lights came on
As the lights once off came on, a gruesome scene was presented to the students
The carcass of the chief planner was hanging from the ceiling. His body was in a grotesque form that some students vomited at the sight
Lyra drawing her sword spoke up on behalf of the students
"What is this treachery, who are you?" Lyra asked her tone sharp and her aura dominated the air
The figure, once calm and cheerful, suddenly turned ice cold.
"Who told you could ask the questions here?"
The students gulped at the sheer sight; he was not just intimidating but menacing
He had to be at least the rank of a specialist to be doing this
"You never took this into account, but I will be starting the show now" the figure said
As the figure snapped his fingers, several figures dropped through the ceiling as they wore black hoods and masks to cover their face
As they surrounded the students, the figure snapped for them to stand still
"Activate: Closure." the figure said
As the figure snapped his hand, a runic symbol glowed as a beam of light enveloped the whole hall
As Elior left the hall, a beam of light enveloped the entire room.
"What" Elior asked clearly curious
"I did not think a student would make it out; I so wanted to avoid any killings" a figure said in frustration
"What was that just now?" Elior asked in frustration
"Straight to the point, aren't we?" the figure said
"So, that beam shut down the arcana of all students for the next hour"
'Shut down arcana' Elior thought
Elior thoughts began racing, he had not expected it

It all started making sense to him, the bombs, the kidnap of the headmistress, it was just to make the students losing the use of arcana so they would be sleeping ducks there
Actually, the reason why Elior left the building was due to a notification he received from the system
Few Minutes Ago
As Elior sipped on his wine, a notification came through
[LEAVE THE BALL NOW]
Elior had initially ignored it but a throbbing pain hit his heart

It was the notification again, which had become more violent and continuously displayed itself as a way of bugging Elior
Elior finally succumbed leaving the hall
"So, anything to say" the figure asked
Elior flashed a sharp grin.
"I know about the bombs and the teachers have accounted for them"
"I know, our leader anticipated this and set one final bomb" the figure responded
Hearing that caught Elior off guard
"A last bomb"
"Yeah, and it will go off"
"In 3...… 2...…...1..."
*BOOM*
A loud bang echoed round the whole school, startling both Elior and the students
The exploded place was the library and everything was beginning to be engulfed in flames
"You guys are going to pay for this" Elior said in anger as his Arcana began to surge violently.
"Oh" the figure said in amusement as he drew out his weapon
