Susan tired to control her sad mood,she used a handkerchief to clean her eyes.Daniel tried to explain to her that it was not what she thinks.
"Susan you know how desperate Veronica can be,she forced herself on me"
"What were you both even doing in the hospital,I taught you went to visit your sick mother alone,how come she followed you to the hospital "Susan was looking at Daniel as she was demanding for quick answers.
"Susan I met her at the hospital room with my siblings,she did not follow me"
"I just don't trust you Dan"Susan replied and she shakes her head sideways in disappointment.
She walked out of Daniel's office as Daniel was he was still trying to explain himself to her.That day Daniel was in a sad mood while Susan was so heart broken.
After 30 minutes mirabell called Daniel on the phone Daniel immediately picked as his heart was already boiling in anger.He said
"Mirabell,what you did made you look like a desperate cheap prostitute,how can you send that picture to Susan?"
"Hahaha, because I want the best for you baby.And the best person for you is no other person but me.Daniel you are my everything"mirabell spoke slowly and softly.
Immediately Daniel ended the call.When Susan got home,she was looking so sad.Vivian her friend became worried and she asked
"You are looking sad ,did you had a bad day at work today?"Vivian's face was looking worried.
"No,it's not.My sister mirabell sent me a picture of Veronica kissing Daniel".Susan was angry and more heart broken as she was speaking.Tears were gradually coming up from her eyes.
"What?,are you serious?,i can't believe what i am hearing.But from what you have been saying about him he looks like good person.I can remember when you told me that he choose to love you over the death of his own mother.What did he say when you showed him the picture?"
"He said that Veronica forced herself on him by kissing him when he did not expect it"Susan looked confused.
"That means it could be a blackmail because why will Mirabell snap the picture immediately.Susan it looks planned"
"Viv,what are you saying,you mean that Daniel is a good person ?"susan looked at her with an angry face.
"I am only saying that Daniel was someone who chooses to love you despite the death of his mother and the rejection from his family.Remember you told me that This same Daniel drove veronica out of his office in presence of his staffs and the public just because of you who was an ordinary secretary.So I don't think Daniel can something serious with Veronica "As Vivian was explaining,she walked closer to susan in the sitting room.Her voice became soft.
The explanation of Vivian made Susan's heart to gradually begin to melt.She felt cold inside of her.Her face softened.
"You have some point,but i will stay far from him for now and monitor his movement to know whether he is faithful to me"she folded her two hands as she was speaking.
"Susan I can understand how you feel right now,I know it's not easy dealing with trust but I am here to help you with it"
"Thank you my friend.i have already paid for an apartment.So by next week we will be packing into tnew place"Susan smiled in excitement.
Immediately a message was received by Susan from Daniel.The message reads"Darling,I am in the hospital.My mom's health is becoming worse and the rejection from my family is increasing.No one in my family wants to see me again.my mom is about to undergo a heart surgery.The doctor said that her chances of survival is very slim.If i lose my mom today you will be my mother,my future wife and my everything because i have no where to go.please don't make me homeless "
Susan looked at the message and she began to cry.tears of pity for Daniel and deep affection for Daniel came out her eyes.She felt like replying by telling him that she loves him also but she decided to keep to herself.She felt like going to the hospital to be with him.
"Why are you crying all of a sudden?"Vivian asked in curiosity.
"Daniel sent me this message "she showed Vivian the message.
"I told you that Daniel is a good person,he is so open to you and he trust you even in the worse situation "
"I feel so touched and convinced that he is a good man but i am not very sure of my feelings.I will watch him from a distance "Susan spoke to Vivian.
That night Susan could not sleep.At her guess room she was thinking about Daniel and the message he sent.Every word that Daniel said in the message made her feel loved.She felt goose bumps on her body.She remember the day they met at the bar,the moment they have both shared.She wrapped her body with the bed sheet and she hugged the pillow throughout the night because she wanted to feel the presence of Daniel.
The next day at globus tech company was Wednesday.Everyone was looking good on thier office wears.Susan was putting on a white corporate shirt and a black skirt.She had already started her job as the secretary but Daniel was not around.His assistant Mr Kenneth Andrew was there to replace his temporal absence.Daniel already called his assistant to replace him while he is not around.
It was already afternoon at work.Some staffs were a little bit worried about Daniel's absence.
"Susan,do you know what could have happened to Daniel that lead to his absence?"Susan's friend Annabel asked Susan.
"No,I don't,I just hope he is fine"Susan replied.She tried to keep what Daniel told her secret to herself.Deep inside her heart she is seriously very worried.She thaught whether Daniel's mom have died in the process of the heart surgery.
Susan felt like holding Daniel in her arms wherever Daniel is.She felt like cuddling Daniel so that Daniel will not feel lonely in the pains he might be going through.
That afternoon Susan sent a text message to Daniel saying "how have you been,hope your mother survived the operation?"
Daniel was in the hospital already and the doctor have successfully done the mother's operation.Every one in the hospital was relieved from great panic.When his phone made a notification sound he saw Susan's text message.Immediately he felt loved and comforted.He knew Susan still loves him.
He replied by texting "yes darling,my mom survived the operation".
That day Fred who is Susan's ex have already planned to go this company to deceive Susan that Daniel is a cheat so that he can make Susan to love him again.
