"This is... the power of evolution, looks like my luck has always been pretty good."
Among the many Divine Favorers, his abilities were originally relatively weak. During the replacement battle back then, he and Babanuki fought for two days and nights, only finding the chance to knock him off the stage when he was reloading his gun.
But now it seemed, his power was only just beginning to show.
The sea breeze carried a thick stench of blood, likely attracting sharks before long.
"What are you looking at? Never seen a dead person before!"
There's never a shortage of onlookers anywhere. Ordinary people in Shampodi fled due to the battle, but there were still plenty of pirates around.
On the wreckage of the ship, the flag of the World Government ignited in flames, disappearing from the world alongside the sinking debris.
Mandfeish's body was splattered with blood, and broken corpses floated on the surrounding sea. Some were washed ashore by the waves. It should have been a horrific scene, yet it left the pirates nearby exhilarated.
"Whoa... so cool..."
"Hey! Big guy, can I join you?!"
Some even directly applied to team up with Mandfeish, but he didn't pay them any mind. Shampodi was not only home to pirates but also to the Navy. Despite the short duration of the battle, with the World Government's ships under attack, their reinforcements would arrive quickly.
Manipulating his new body, Mandfeish soared into the clouds, and after flying a distance, he re-entered the water in a deserted area, swimming back towards Fishman Island. During his flight, he also made a call to Jack, informing him that everything was under control.
As for whether people on Shampodi Island would clash with the upcoming Navy, that was no longer his concern.
In the depths of the sea, Rushaka had just returned home to Coral Hill. As Mandfeish mentioned, Jack's Hack was waiting for her there.
"Rushaka, you're back!"
"Feish... Mandfeish is still fighting, it's not dangerous here, Hack, go help him."
"Brother Mandfeish told us to protect you, no need to worry, he's very strong."
Jack responded, as Mandfeish had contacted him via Radio Snail before leaving, instructing Jack to guard Rushaka with Hack and worry about nothing else.
Additionally, Jack had realized over the past couple of days that although Hack was much stronger than Mandfeish at Fishman Karate, he wasn't a match for Mandfeish and wouldn't be able to help much even if he joined.
However, Rushaka was still worried about Mandfeish. Luckily, Mandfeish called right at this moment.
Meanwhile, at the site of disruption in Mermaid Bay, the kingdom army of Fishman Island had managed to control the situation.
"Nyu, boss Jinbe, they are friends of Mandfeish and unrelated to the commotion, it's Danmada's gang's doing."
A blue fat guy, none other than the thirty-year-old Jinbe, led the Dragon Palace Kingdom army here.
Originally a thug from Fishman Street, after Fisher Tiger's adventuring, he became his successor.
Later, Jinbe left Fishman Street to join Neptune's army of Dragon Palace Kingdom and became an elite member, now the boss of the kingdom army.
Currently, Jinbe didn't harbor much affection toward humans, similar to Ah Long but more rational. Hearing this from Koby, he headed to another place with his men.
The kingdom army wasn't entirely useless; they at least stabilized the general populace and ended the chaos earlier.
"How will they handle the situation here?"
"Nyu... They'll try catching the troublemakers, though typically they can't catch them if they escape. Even the Fishmen can't track all the ships at sea..."
"It's truly... a terrible management style."
Upon hearing Koby's reply, Kojiro didn't know what to say. As a Fishman, even if they couldn't fight those pirates on the island, allowing those ships to escape with slaves to the surface was something he couldn't comprehend.
Koby didn't argue back at Kojiro's complaint, as he also didn't understand this situation either.
"Pierman, do you remember the identity of that pirate group?"
"I have an impression of the flags, finding them shouldn't be difficult."
"That's good, Mandfeish's temper likely hasn't cooled down yet. This gang is in for it. I finally understand your stories about Paradise's reckless rookies."
Looking at Whitebeard's flag fluttering above Fishman Island, Kojiro mourned for a few seconds for those pirates. He hadn't seen Whitebeard but had witnessed Kaidou's battles.
Given that these individuals were dubbed Sea Emperors, even if there was a gap, they were still monsters on the same level. Offending two such monsters simultaneously, Kojiro couldn't imagine how these people would survive in the New World.
This place fell under Whitebeard's protection, so causing trouble here was already an affront to him.
This was why the World Government contacted the Super Rookies from the first half of the Grand Line for this job, as no veteran pirates from the New World dared to take it, only these fearless newcomers did.
As for the Kaidou side, the Hundred Beasts indeed wouldn't get angry over any one member, but Mandfeish was an old veteran, a senior who had displayed his talents. Hence, their opponent naturally made it onto the Hundred Beasts' blacklist.
Kojiro wasn't wrong, upon returning to Fishman Island, Mandfeish first checked in with Rushaka, then began contacting members of the New World via Radio to deal with that gang; letting them escape was simply intolerable for him. If he couldn't catch those pirates, he'd have to write his name backward.
He still had that level of authority; under a Great Pirate, this was often the situation, with officers having the power to handle many matters, including dealing with such reckless newcomers.
...
"What about Danmada's group?"
This chaos was nearly over, but Mandfeish's business wasn't done; that human pirate gang had temporarily escaped.
He had been busy saving Rushaka at the time, and Mermaid Bay was in turmoil, leaving Kojiro's team helpless against that crew. But beneath their noses, there was still that Fishman gang.
"Nyu, boss Jinbe captured them. Even though a few got away, no one knows where they've gone."
This kind of behavior was a crime on Fishman Island, usually punished by lifetime imprisonment.
"Nyu, Brother Mandfeish, that's Fishman Island's prison. You can't go there killing people!"
"Feish, leave it be, they've been caught already...."
Under Koby and Rushaka's persuasion, Mandfeish refrained from acting. Nevertheless, it didn't mean he abandoned this method. Going to the prison to kill was indeed improper, but if they were to escape, the outcome would be different...
