Chapter 984 - Chapter 62: Akago_3

A Jonin spoke.

After all, spanning a whole country's territory and stretching supply lines—it seemed impractical no matter how you looked at it.

During the Third Ninja World War, starting from Hidden Sand Village and extending into the Land of Rain, two supply relay areas were established to ensure the supply lines would not be sabotaged by enemy ninjas, resulting in supply mishaps.

So, to ensure logistics supplies could keep up, the Land of Demons must have set up relay areas in between to ensure the supply lines were smooth and free of accidents.

And the relay areas would only be established within the territories of the Land of Bear and the Land of Shadow.

Most of the other Jonin nodded in agreement, though a few remained lost in thought.

Rasa also found the words to be somewhat reasonable.

Extending supply lines without setting up relay areas does indeed lead to major issues.

The Land of Demons' provocation of the Land of Wind is certainly premeditated, and being a well-thought-out plan, they wouldn't risk extending their supply lines recklessly.

Moreover, seeing the Land of Demons' troop rapidly construct an indestructible military fortress on the northwestern dunes of the Land of Wind, halting the Hidden Sand's offensive, one can tell the Land of Demons highly prioritizes supply line issues.

Rasa was also surprised by the supply efficiency of the Land of Demons.

Why did they transport so many supplies, yet the Land of Wind received no information whatsoever?

From the very beginning, Rasa had this question.

Leading a massive invasion of the Land of Wind, how did Uchiha Ruri avoid the sight of Maki's advance troops and enter silently?

How could the Land of Demons' troop routes be so covert and swift?

What methods did they use?

What kind of route did they take to achieve this?

What aspect did the Hidden Sand's patrol squads overlook, leading to unfavorable conditions early on?

The more Rasa thought about it, the more troublesome it seemed, giving him a headache.

How to sever the supply line, how to breach the sturdy fortress the Land of Demons built on the northwest dunes—Rasa had no clue.

"It seems we'll have to request help from the Daimyo, sending messengers to the Land of Shadow and Land of Bear to meet their Daimyo and utilize their power to uncover the relay points possibly hidden within their countries."

Due to the uncertainty about which country the Land of Demons set up relay points, be it the Land of Shadow or Land of Bear, meeting the Daimyo of both countries became a necessary matter.

Rasa was not worried about a lack of cooperation from the Daimyo of the two countries.

Confident that reasoning and emotional appeal would help them understand Hidden Sand's sincere intentions.

Just like the Land of Rain did years ago.

No objections came from the Jonin over Rasa's arrangement.

Though embarrassing, they still couldn't drive out the ninjas from the Land of Demons anytime soon.

The enemy's power and numbers were unknown, as was the presence of the aerial troop that annihilated Maki's one thousand Hidden Sand squad—there was no certainty.

Any misstep would severely damage Hidden Sand.

Such thorough enemy battle plan research on the battlefield hadn't been seen for a long time.

This vigilant approach only appeared when facing equally large ninja villages.

Against small country ninjas, they usually relied on sheer military force to subdue.

But this method didn't work against the Land of Demons.

Therefore, a cautious strategic offensive had to be employed against the Land of Demons.

At this moment, a Hidden Sand ninja entered to report to Rasa: "Kazekage, the Konoha support troop led by Jiraiya has arrived."

The Hidden Sand Jonin crew who had been worried instantly relaxed at this report, even Rasa, the Kazekage, showed a slight smile.

Konoha's reinforcement had finally arrived.

With Konoha's aid, the pressure on Hidden Sand would lessen considerably.

While Konoha is a formidable enemy, as an ally within the Ninja Realm, there was no more reliable reinforcement than Konoha.

Despite older villagers lamenting that this was a Hidden Sand matter and shouldn't seek Konoha's aid as it would show Hidden Sand's cowardice.

Especially the retired Chiyo siblings seemed to have strong opinions on this.

Rasa could understand this sentiment.

The siblings, being former advisors of Hidden Sand, opposed the idea, especially Elder Chiyo, whose son and daughter-in-law died at the hands of Konoha ninjas, held great resentment against Konoha.

Fortunately, they were retired and only verbalized their complaints, considering Hidden Sand's current predicament, teaming up with Konoha was the best solution.

"I will go to meet them personally."

During such collaboration times, Rasa intended not to create airs as the Kazekage.

The strength of one of the Sannin, Jiraiya, was well-known, ranking senior to him as Kazekage.

Additionally, sending a Sannin-level ninja showed Konoha's sincerity in cooperation and determination against renegade ninjas.

Prior to the Konoha support troop's arrival, Rasa had felt anxious that Konoha might be indifferent to the collaboration, possibly sending a few unknown Jonin just to fill numbers without real intention to cooperate with Hidden Sand.
