Chapter 1150 - Chapter 682: Our Mountain (2)

The minibus kept moving.

Otsuka and the others gradually overcame their seasickness on land, having long been accustomed to the view outside, and they couldn't help but chuckle at their boss's fascination.

"When we arrive in the Ore Region, I'll show you what I've planted! They're tall and robust!"

"Come on! You're always sending your sister and the Pokémon to water them; can the trees really be considered planted by you? It's more like you just put your name on them!"

"I just planted too many, couldn't manage them all!"

The group continued bantering until it turned into a quarrel.

Baimu ignored them, opening the window and gazing at the Braviary and a few Rufflet flying from the horizon; it was his first time seeing Pokémon in the wild in the Ore Region, and he found it intriguing.

"Braviary really does adapt well to this environment..."

For half a year, N rescued all the Pokémon from the clutches of all the wrongdoers in the Ore Region, freeing them from the binding of Pokeballs.

The total number was roughly in the hundreds of thousands.

Apart from Ice-type Pokémon which couldn't adapt to the Ore environment and were sent to other regions, and a small portion that were coaxed away, most Pokémon remained in the wild.

The Rescue Organization currently prohibits local trainers from capturing these Pokémon through battles and is actively looking for proper ways to handle these Pokémon.

After all, feeding tens of thousands of Pokémon daily is an unfathomable quantity.

N is striving to have them solve the issue themselves, but unfortunately, at present, only Ground, Rock, Grass, Electric attributes, and some special Pokémon can manage on their own.

The others, like the Ore environmental governance, have just barely begun to show progress.

Shanren noted that the Rescue Organization recently intends to discuss with N about having Pokémon live in civilian homes, and the enthusiasm for Pokémon among the Ore people remains high.

However, N's investigations in Pyrite Town over the past half-year have found few satisfying candidates to entrust Pokémon.

Thus, it remains in a stalemate.

Baimu intends to persuade N. Even if N inherited the Plasma Team's legacy, the cost of feeding tens of thousands of Pokémon is still a significant burden.

Moreover, letting Pokémon interact with humans would benefit the harmonious coexistence of the Ore natural environment.

Consider that the Sinnoh Land's Midina was once desolate, but under Damos's governance, even after losing Arceus's lent Life Jade, it became immensely prosperous.

The joint effort of humans and Pokémon was indispensable.

The current main strategy in Ore is also the cooperation of humans and Pokémon in improving the living environment; they are keenly aware they can't separate Pokémon and humans.

"Who knows how many years we'll have to wait for N's land Pokémon Paradise."

Baimu shook his head.

N is greatly fond of Ore mainly because its vast lands and sparse population make it more suitable for wild Pokémon compared to other overly developed regions.

Shanren initially promised N to ensure the survival environment of wild Pokémon, but now the focus is on building three major towns.

N's wish is not difficult as long as Arceus can be found to borrow the Life Jade or other Pokémon that can rejuvenate Ore overnight; but saying it's easy... how many in the world can find these few types of Legendary Pokémon?

Baimu reached to grasp the Thousand Cosmos Bracelet in his arms and suddenly turned to look out the window, hearing the flapping of wings as Braviary glided to the side of the vehicle with the Rufflet.

It seemed to be confirming something, looked at him carefully and then flapped its wings and flew away.

The few Rufflet following behind were frantically flapping their not-yet-fully-grown wings, looking anxious and emitting worried cries.

"It's these little guys."

Ayana stood up, looked out the window twice, "They're N's eyes, probably came specifically to find you and confirm your whereabouts."

"Confirm my whereabouts?"

Baimu was slightly stunned, and suddenly felt a suspicion growing in his heart.

The minibus drove on for quite some time, and the vegetation along the roadside in the endless desert began to increase. Although far from outside's lushness, it still made him extraordinarily glad.

In just half a year, they've managed to achieve this much. Even without the power of Legendary Pokémon, perhaps within his lifetime, he might see a verdant Ore Region.

"Boss! Look! Your mountain is here!"

Someone suddenly shouted.

Baimu swiftly looked through the windshield and suddenly saw an enormous mountain far in the distance that seemed out of place.

The desert's vegetation might be sparse, but the mountain was covered with patches of various plants, and many bird Pokémon could vaguely be seen flying around the mountain.

Lairon's mountain!

His heart trembled, and his waist followed suit with a violent vibration. Undoubtedly, it was the excited Lairon and Giant Steelix.

Approaching the eagerly awaited territory, even the increasingly mature Lairon during the journey couldn't help but get excited.

Baimu then said to Terry, "Please stop briefly when we get closer."

"Do you want to climb? Why not wait till we return to Pyrite Town; Ayana the big sister has been maintaining your hoverbike and car for you."

Terry hesitated.

He hurriedly explained, "I just want to release Steelix and Lairon; they've been eagerly waiting for this, so they can explore the mountain first."

"Oh? Alright! You sure spoil your Pokémon." Terry agreed.

Baimu smiled silently and turned to thank Ayana.

When he left, he handed his vehicles to Rainbow Team's maintenance group, but he didn't expect Ayana had been keeping them up for him.
