Chapter 672 - Chapter 523: Sanderion (5K)

"Seems completely lacking in fighting spirit."

The spirit watching the commotion observed the situation, failing to detect any significant Duel Energy, and felt a bit puzzled.

Sanderion yawned, disregarding the other spirit's remarks, and said, "Many come to us seeking certification to enter the Mage Domain; why be so serious about it?

Besides, didn't I delegate these matters to you?"

"Lord Sanderion, this is different!" the tailor retorted from the side.

Tenjo Hikari is different!

"What's so different—" Sanderion yawned again, looking at Tenjo Hikari and Tierra beside him, "Midrash... that indeed is quite formidable."

Lightly raising a hand, several transparent crystals suddenly flew out from among countless others and landed in front of him, then shattered with a snap, transforming into a Duel Disk.

He casually drew with his fingertip in front of him, conjuring cards that ultimately formed his deck.

"Regardless, let's duel—" Sanderion looked at Tenjo Hikari, "So, the duel starts now. If you win, I will grant you the certification from the Three Sages, giving you a chance to visit the Mage Domain."

Tenjo Hikari nodded, expressed gratitude, and his Duel Disk automatically activated.

Witchcrafter Madame Verre, LP: 4000.

Tenjo Hikari, LP: 4000.

Sanderion took the opening move; he casually tapped the Duel Disk, and a card automatically flew out from his deck.

"Hey—who's dueling with Lord Sanderion?"

"Seems familiar—feels like I've seen them somewhere before."

"Strange, I haven't seen many humans, so why does this one look familiar?"

Some passing spirits couldn't help but mutter.

To them, humans generally looked quite similar, but if one made an impression, they could recognize them.

They seemed to have vague memories of Tenjo Hikari, yet curiously, they felt like they hadn't met him.

This was quite odd.

"My turn." Sanderion casually placed a Spell Card into the Duel Disk, "Activate Spell Card, Witchcrafter's Creation.

Add 1 Witchcrafter Monster from the deck to the hand."

As the duel commenced, a line-up of Witchcrafter members had already gathered behind Sanderion. Besides the tailor seen previously, there were many other Witchcrafter members; a rough glance showed several were duplicates.

Even the high-level spirit, "Witchcrafter Edel," had two members present.

"Add Little Schmietta to the hand."

Witchcrafter Schmietta, a spirited red-haired witch wielding a giant mechanic "wrench."

"Normal Summon Schmietta, then activate its effect. During the Main Phase of either player, release this card, discard 1 Spell Card from the hand to activate. Special Summon 1 non-Schmietta Witchcrafter from the deck."

She snapped a transparent crystal before her, speaking softly.

"Special Summon myself."

In the sky, a white transparent sofa slowly appeared. She leaned against the sofa, leisurely observing the front.

Witchcrafter Madame Verre, LV 8, Light Attribute, Spellcaster-Type, DEF 2800.

"The effect of Little Schmietta in the graveyard, banish it to activate. Send 1 non-Schmietta Witchcrafter card from the deck to the graveyard. I'll send Little Gem to the graveyard~"

Behind her, two Witchcrafter Edel revealed embarrassed expressions.

Apparently, being advanced to high-level Mage spirits, they still found this nickname a bit shameful.

"Activate Continuous Spell Card, Witchcrafter Bystreet~"

The surrounding transparent crystals changed colors, soon reflecting the scenery of an outside alley; it not only replicated the buildings vividly but also the lifelike pedestrians on the road.

"This card allows Witchcrafter monsters to not be destroyed by battle or effects once per turn." She explained the effect generously.

She yawned, "That's the end."

"That's the end?"

A few spirits appeared surprised upon seeing this.

They expected to witness an impressive duel, but it concluded by merely placing a magician, then ending there.

It's not that the High-Level Monster wasn't strong, but they somehow felt it didn't quite match the reputation of the "Three Sages."

Yet, soon they realized, it wasn't that simple.

"At the moment of ending the turn, activate the effect of the Spell card in the graveyard. The cooperative effect of the Witchcrafter discarded by Schmietta. As long as a Witchcrafter monster exists on your field while these cards are in the graveyard, during your End Phase, this card returns to your hand—pity, only one of two effects can be activated per turn, so Creation cannot be retrieved."

Eh!?

A card made of crystal slowly reformed, again flying into Madame Verre's hand.

This—

Meaning, within two turns at most, Lord Sanderion can replicate this turn's operation, executing it again?

In this view, isn't it almost equivalent to a cost-free Special Summon?

Possibly, this Witchcrafter Bystreet might function similarly.

As expected of one of the top Mages, such mastery over "magic" is indeed impressive.

"My turn, draw—"

It was now Tenjo Hikari's turn.

Tenjo Hikari glanced at his hand cards, then looked at his opponent.

Sanderion continued yawning; he truly appeared somewhat weary—Tierra had mentioned this to Tenjo Hikari.
