Pendulum Machine drew two more cards, then lifted a "Barrel Dragon" card.
Tenjo Hikari glanced over, not paying much attention.
"Then, when there are three cards removed from play, this card can be Special Summoned directly."
Suddenly, a silvery-white ring of light blazed in the sky, and a bizarrely colored machine slowly flew out from it.
It was a colossal fortress, a truly astounding fortress beyond sight.
"D.D. Assault Carrier."
D.D. Assault Carrier, LV 8, Dark Attribute, Machine-Type, Attack Power 2500.
"Next, Continuous Spell Card. Machina Armored Unit, Machina Defense Perimeter, activate!"

"Then, Field Spell Card Heavy Metal Raiders!"
Rumbling, the ground gradually became enveloped in pitch-black metal, with countless dark robots emerging from its rear, letting out shrill explosions as if sneering.
"Ready, everyone, it's time to act together!"
"Set two cards, end turn!"
Pendulum Machine chuckled grimly.
The two Spell Cards on its field, the former lets you Special Summon a Machine-Type Monster with lower ATK from your Deck if a Machine-Type Monster is destroyed in battle. The latter prevents opponents from targeting your LV 6 or lower Machine-Type Monsters as attack or effect targets if there's a LV 7 or higher Machine-Type Monster on your field.
Moreover, if the latter is in play, when your Machine-Type Monster is destroyed by battle or effect, you can add a Machine-Type Monster from your Graveyard to your Hand Card.
With these two cards alone, continuous Monsters can be summoned, and Field Spell is excellent. As long as it's active, its Machine-Type Dark Attribute Monsters cannot be destroyed by battle once per turn, and they can increase their ATK by the amount of battle damage received.
Most importantly, once per turn, if an originally Machine-Type Dark Attribute Monster is destroyed by battle, you can Special Summon a Dark Attribute Machine-Type Monster from your Hand Card.
Even though there are no Monsters in my Hand Card now, just by pairing with the Set Trap Card "Return from the Different Dimension," I can instantly Special Summon three Machine-Type Monsters.
The other card, [Limiter Removal], can let Tenjo Hikari feel the power of the mechanical army during the attack.
"Using the field to call and gather, summoning the spirits of your kind?"
Tenjo Hikari glanced over coldly, "But, it doesn't look like there are any highly skilled spirits?"
"Those foolish old guys will never understand me." Pendulum Machine sneered, the massive blade beneath it began to swing frantically, "Our dimension is in grave danger, on the brink of collapse at any time; by then, there's no time for us to seek a new home.
Since that lord agreed, as long as we help fulfill his goal, we can have the human world... There's no reason to refuse!"
It laughed heartily: "In times like this, calculations and mechanical thinking are what limit a species' development—"
"Disgusting." Tierra frowned on the side.
The machines she made would never lack aesthetics like this!
Indeed, spirits have too much "self-will"!
"Dimensional collapse... that lord agreed with you? I see, so that's how it is."
Tenjo Hikari suddenly realized.
He always pondered what benefits Darkness offered to the spirits that made them serve him, when they aren't even from the same "system."
It now seems that there's no need to promise any "strength" or "benefits."
The human "world" itself is a "benefit" for numerous malevolent spirits!

No wonder Thousand Gold and Teacher Daitokuji mentioned that Dimension Travel was dangerous for humans, with the collapse of Spirit Dimension worsening, spirits like this will only increase.
"Now that you know, quickly leave this world, Hikari, because with just the humans in your world, it'll be conquered by spirits from across worlds sooner or later!" Just as Tenjo Hikari wouldn't reveal how he discerned the truth, Pendulum Machine wouldn't disclose core details beyond psychological tactics.
"I see... so that's your limit, is it?" Tenjo Hikari squinted, "Well then. The duel is about to end—after all, I have many other things to do."
"What?" It even doubted whether there was an issue with its auditory system.
Pendulum Machine had seen Tenjo Hikari's duels, and with no extra monsters summoned on its field, it just couldn't figure out how Tenjo Hikari could so easily overcome this setup.
