Chapter 72 - Chapter 65: Magic Potion? That's All? [Fifth Update]

Daphne's happiness was gone.

Snape's infamous pain in the neck comments to latecomers were also gone.

Ian's mood visibly wilted.

"What's wrong with you?" Aurora showed some concern for the companion beside her. Ian let out a heavy sigh, his eyes slightly dim as he watched Snape stride to the podium.

"I've lost all my happiness today."

He had specially brought a gift for Daphne Greengrass, but unexpectedly, she hadn't recovered from the first layer yet. Or perhaps the clever Pure-blood Wizard Miss had predicted his prediction?

"Oh, I get it. You've been kissed by a Dementor." Aurora calmly organized her textbooks, her brand-new textbook surprisingly filled with detailed notes.

Ian noticed this when he turned his head.

"You got the deluxe edition!"

He saw clear annotations from the Saint community's Master of Magic Potions and whispered in amazement.

"Duplicate into twins!"

Aurora whispered an incantation to her textbook, and immediately, an identical textbook was duplicated. Her delicate little hand pushed it towards Ian.

"It can last for one class, and next Magic Potion Class, I'll still share it with you." Aurora's cool voice carried a hint of an abacus.

"I'm not envious at all."

Ian eagerly opened the textbook and began reading the annotations. Come tomorrow night, he could enter the Misty Illusion Realm again, though he didn't know how Teacher Mara's new era of magic potion research was going.

"Very good. It seems that you all understand the importance of punctuality, which is particularly crucial in the brewing process of magic potions." Snape was now starting the class from the podium.

"Potion configuration is a precise and demanding craft. Some might think it's not magic, but in reality, few can truly appreciate the slow simmer of a crucible smoking white and An aromatic scent wafting, and even fewer can genuinely feel the liquid flowing into their veins containing so much magic power."

Snape started to scan the room full of little wizards with his eerie eyes.

He paused for a moment.

Meanwhile, Ian was whispering with his friends down below.

"He's about to start bragging."

His words barely fell.

Sure enough.

"I can teach you how to boost your reputation, brew glory, and even..." Pausing intentionally here, Snape emphasized heavily.

"Prevent death!"

Ian finally witnessed a famous scene.

Light returned to his eyes.

"Actually, Snape can't do it. This opening speech is all plagiarized, and he's about to call us idiots and morons." Ian's words left the girl beside him momentarily stunned.

As Ian predicted.

"I can teach you many things, but the prerequisite is that you don't have to be the kind of idiot and moron I often encounter." Snape finished his annual show-off with precision.

Because Ian and Aurora sat more towards the back, Snape couldn't hear their whispers, only seeing Ian talking to Little Grindelwald.

He chose to ignore it.

"How did you know? Do you also have prophecy?" Aurora stared incredulously, her bright eyes filled with wonder.

"Huh?"

Ian was momentarily stunned.

"What do you mean, also?"

He sensed the key point.

"Our family has that talent, to see things in the future. In fact, I saw that scene just now when I entered the classroom." Aurora pointed at her eyes without any reservations or concealment.

"Is your grandfather too?"

Ian was shocked for a bit. He wasn't particularly familiar with the Grindelwald family's situation; before he crossed, a movie about Grindelwald was reportedly coming out.

"Far more powerful than me."

Aurora answered solemnly.

"Uh..." Ian didn't sense anything unusual, hesitating for a moment before continuing, "If I may ask, did he see his own ending?"

Faced with this inquiry.

Aurora's expression didn't change.

"His Saints still believe, past and present circumstances are just a choice by my grandfather, for greater benefits to be realized."

The German Girl didn't directly respond.

However.

"I see... The power of belief is truly terrifying."

Ian clicked his tongue.

"Who says so."

Aurora nodded in agreement.

"Now, pair up and brew a Boil Potion. I must remind you to be careful when operating, if you don't want to join Miss Daphne." Snape had finished the textbook content at this point, preparing to let the little wizards practice. He took a glance at Ian and Aurora, who kept whispering.

Then.

Looking expressionlessly towards the Slytherin zone.

"Michael Jordan, get back to your own house." He needed somewhere to vent his inner frustration, choosing the little Brother Xiao Hei, who was always lingering in the Slytherin zone.

The two particular skins standing there together could hardly be ignored.

"Huh?"

Michael naturally looked unwilling. He glanced at the Ravenclaw area, specifically Ian's spot, his face full of confusion as to why this was happening.

"I don't want to say it again."

Snape's voice was exceptionally stern.

"Alright, Professor."

Michael shrunk his neck and could only gather his things, rushing to the corner position—William still nestled alone in the corner as class continued.

"Quick, grab the ingredients before they snatch them all." Ian pulled out his golden crucible and said to Aurora while fiddling with it.

"Oh, okay."

Aurora hurriedly stood up and ran to the supply cabinet.

Everyone was picking materials.

Snape surprisingly didn't reprimand anyone nor deducted points. He just paced the classroom, eventually stopping at Ian's group pretending to build the crucible.

Aurora had already brought the materials back, her movements swift since a little wizard from Slytherin directly handed her the chosen ingredients.

"Mr. Prince, why haven't you started making it?" Snape looked coldly at Ian, seeing Aurora grind snake fangs as her partner hadn't built the crucible.

"Professor, we're dividing the work."

Ian responded earnestly.

"…"

Snape gave a silent glance at the busy Aurora.

Gritted his teeth and walked away.

Yet.

His sight continually glanced towards Ian and Aurora. Consequently, Snape saw a scene that made him grind his teeth, wanting to kick Ian out right away.

Aurora finished grinding the snake fangs.

Ian was tending the fire.

Aurora processed the horned flobberworm.

Ian was tending the fire.

Aurora added porcupine quills and vigorously stirred.

Ian was tending the fire.

After five rounds, the potion was complete... Ian extinguished the fire.
