Chapter 97 - Chapter 82: A Riot! A Slaughter! (Part 3)

How is there a Crucio here!?

Are there Fantastic Beasts in the Wizarding World with such characteristics?

"Knock, knock, knock!"

Just as Ian was taking out the book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" to remedy his lack of knowledge, there came a sudden urgent knocking at the dormitory door.

"Wake up! Get up!"

It was the voice of the male Prefect, Ditrik, making quite a commotion, yet it failed to wake Ian's two sleeping roommates.

"Knock, knock, knock!"

"Knock, knock, knock!"

The knocking continued incessantly. Ian, puzzled, put away the book, went to the door, and opened it, only to see the male Prefect Ditrik standing outside holding his Magic Wand with a serious expression.

His expression looked very tense, and he was glancing around as if on alert for something.

"What's happened?"

Ian frowned deeply.

It was his third day at Hogwarts, and it seemed like things were going to become unsettled again. The peaceful daily life he yearned for seemed like an unattainable luxury.

"I don't know which damned bastard actually released Fire Ash Snakes into the castle. They are everywhere outside, and they could pop up from anywhere at any time!"

The male Prefect Ditrik cursed through gritted teeth.

The creature he mentioned, the fire ash snake, Ian had read about in the book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." It was a short-lived and irritable Fantastic Beast.

Long and narrow, a whitish-gray color, its eyes glowing red. It would crawl out of the ashes of a fire, swim to dark corners to lay its eggs, leaving a trail of ash behind.

The fire ash snake has a lifespan of only one hour, but its ability to reproduce is quite astonishing, and it's considered dangerous with a Level XXX danger level.

The Fantastic Beasts Management Department classifies levels of danger for all known animals, people, and ghosts, into five categories, with Level XXXXX representing extremely dangerous hazards.

The creatures of this level are notorious for being Wizard killers and cannot be tamed or bred by any means. The X-level and XX-level are relatively harmless categories.

Examples include the Flubberworm, the Mooncalf, and the celebrity Tree-Protecting Leprechaun.

Fantastic Beasts at Level XXX are capable of causing fatal harm to Wizards, and the Fire Ash Snake is one of them, only Wizards with certain abilities can handle this type of Fantastic Beast.

Although it's not as severe as the Level XXXX and Level XXXXX kinds, the terrifying breeding speed of the Fire Ash Snake can easily cause headaches for many powerful Wizards if they are not cautious.

Especially in a place like Hogwarts filled with Little Wizards, carelessness could result in casualties among the Little Wizards, so no wonder the male Prefect would come knocking in the middle of the night.

Probably the same situation in other houses too.

"Professors are calling everyone to the hall; no one will have a peaceful night's sleep tonight. The Wizard who did this will surely be expelled or put in Azkaban."

The male Prefect Ditrik began knocking on the dormitory doors of other Ravenclaw Little Wizards.

"I just want to study! Is it that difficult?" Ian helplessly slapped his forehead, then turned back to the dormitory, giving each of his two sleeping roommates a hard nudge.

"Loyalty! Absolute loyalty!!"

"Don't eat me!! I'm not tasty!"

Both roommates, waking up in shock, started mumbling in their sleep, filling Ian with confusion, as he had no idea what kind of dreamland they were indulging in before waking up.

"What's happening? It's not even light yet, is it?"

"Oh, Ian, my brother, thank you for saving me."

The two of them, with very different expressions, sat on their beds and watched as Ian tossed their clothes to them, still unsure of what had happened.

"The professors called us to the hall; something went wrong at Hogwarts again." Ian quickly changed into his robe and stuffed all his valuable belongings onto himself.

"Why do you say 'again'?"

Though still unclear about the specifics, the two acted swiftly. Michael pocketed his expansion bag, and William grabbed his powerless magic lamp.

They followed Ian out of the dormitory, and by the time they reached the common room, it was already filled with many people. The two Prefects were busy keeping guard and tallying the students.

"All Petrify!"

There were also senior Wizards helping out. A Fire Ash Snake slithered out of the fireplace, and was instantly struck by a Spell, being petrified where it stood just as it was about to attack.

The teaching level at Hogwarts is actually quite good; the senior Wizards are equipped with some combat ability, but the sudden attack left the Little Wizards panicked and terrified.

"How could this happen!! Fire Ash Snake! It's a Fire Ash Snake!"

"My dad lost an arm because of these creatures, help!"

"Wasn't Hogwarts supposed to be the safest place? I want to go home!"

"Where's my sister? Where's my sister? She couldn't have already died, could she? Sob, sob, sob, the Galleons dad gave me are all with her! I still want to attend Ian's Young Professor lessons."

They are all like flowers in a greenhouse.

Facing the sudden chaos, they were extremely frightened. Several Little Wizards had been attacked in the dormitory and were now crying and making noise in the midst of the group.

Fortunately, there were senior Wizards relatively calm.

"These things seem off."

Ian noticed the bodies of a few Fire Ash Snakes on the floor of the common room. He frowned; Fire Ash Snakes shouldn't be such excessively aggressive creatures.
