Chapter 288 - Chapter 116: Battle Against the Black Demon King! Fleeing in Panic! (Part 6)

He just glared at the timid "Evil Dog," and in the next moment, the robust Yaya fell silent immediately, not daring to muster any courage even while hiding behind Hagrid.

"I can investigate the situation myself! I don't need you!" Hagrid's temper flared from Snape's sarcasm. "Don't let me find out who stole the unicorn! That guy must have also stolen things from my hut! I certainly won't spare such a despicable guy; after catching him, I will starve him for three days and nights first!"

It was obvious.

Hagrid had also noticed the theft in his hut and linked it to the unicorn's disappearance. He kept muttering curses as he walked straight toward the entrance of the Forbidden Forest.

Since his back was to Snape, Hagrid didn't see the evasive look in Snape's eyes or the guilty expression—he also realized he might have been too ruthless in his latest replenishment.

Normally, Hagrid wouldn't have noticed.

"Whether it's poachers or something else, a giant like you without a magic wand can't handle it. You might not realize the kind of terrifying crisis hidden behind such things," Snape hurried after him, not intending to let Hagrid face death alone, not just because of Dumbledore's instructions.

He was also considering his future supply channels.

"I'm not afraid of anything! I have Yaya!" Hagrid pulled hard at Yaya, who was unwilling to enter the Forbidden Forest. When he saw Snape coming over, he nervously adjusted his coat.

He had completely hidden the red umbrella inside his coat.

"You foolish big oaf, do you think you're more powerful than Dumbledore? This is a problem that even he finds troublesome." Snape took out his magic wand to start preparing for alerts.

"Dumbledore is omnipotent! I will tell him that you're smearing him," Hagrid wanted to make Snape look bad. His attitude toward Snape was very different from his attitude toward others, largely influenced by Potter's group and also due to Snape's involvement as a Death Eater.

"If you think that can threaten me, I suggest you find a giant to swap your brain; it might help improve the intelligence you've never had."

Snape's attitude toward Hagrid was identical; anyone who could play with Potter's group was, to him, just hypocritical pretenders.

The two of them continued deeper into the Forbidden Forest.

Soon, both realized something was off.

"What is that smell? A scent of something scorched, is some part of the Forbidden Forest on fire? I bet! It must be those centaurs attempting to learn cooking!"

Hagrid hurried toward the source of the scent.

"Aren't you afraid this is a trap, rushing to your death?" Snape realized how eerily silent the surroundings were, quite unlike the usual noisy atmosphere of the Forbidden Forest. They've walked such a long time yet haven't encountered a single fantastic beast, which didn't match the ecological environment of the Forbidden Forest.

Either all the animals had fled for some reason, or... before Snape could analyze and come up with a reasonable explanation in his mind.

"Dragon! Dragon!"

Suddenly.

Hagrid exclaimed in disbelief ahead.

"Your mind is truly more baffling than a giant's. I dearly wish you'd stop imagining things. There's never been any dragon raised in the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts."

"Even if it's a Protein Dragon, they are just..." Snape's mocking voice suddenly stopped, because he saw a fire dragon flapping its wings fly right past Hagrid.

The kind of fire dragon in the literal sense.

Seeing Hagrid seemingly wanting to reach out and touch that terrifying fire dragon.

"Fool! It's Fiery Fire! Haven't you seen it before?" Snape's expression changed drastically, lifting his magic wand to cast a spell, pulling Hagrid directly to his side.

The magic was rough.

Probably intentional.

Hagrid nearly broke several small trees before tumbling in front of Snape, which certainly didn't match Snape's magical prowess, showing that he must have had a bit of a personal grudge even when saving someone.

"I... I certainly knew it was Fiery Fire..." Hagrid struggled to stand up from the ground, his face scratched by branches, showing a stubborn yet slightly fearful expression.

"Thank you for your help, Snape... Professor." Of course, despite his stubbornness, Hagrid knew who saved him; he truly had been a bit too reckless just now.

"Hmph."

Snape snorted in response. His expression was serious and shocked as he looked up at the sky, seeing over a dozen giant dragons, fruitlessly searching the jungle, soar into the air above the Forbidden Forest.

"Dark Wizards! There are Dark Wizards hiding here! What are they trying to do!?" Hagrid also looked up, seeing those dragons seemingly well-controlled, not setting the surrounding woods alight. His expression was one of extreme anger and disbelief.

"So brazen, aren't these Dark Wizards afraid of Dumbledore?" Clearly, Hagrid mistook the Fiery Fire for the magic of Dark Wizards who came to the Forbidden Forest for poaching.

"I think there is only one Dark Wizard..."

At this moment, Snape had already taken out a telescope.

He noticed earlier that one of the blue fire dragon's heads had a rider, and now, upon raising the telescope, he clearly saw the silhouette within the Fiery Fire.
