He was like a startled bird now, the green Avada Kedavra was almost on the verge of being cast.
"Who's there?"
Since he hadn't undergone any magical modification, Riddle didn't have night vision. Fortunately, to Ian, night was no different from day, and the little wizard quickly pinpointed the source of the voice.
He saw a young girl standing not far away, even younger than Cassandra, with two knights dressed in splendid armor closely following her.
The knights, clad in shiny armor, had elaborate family crests etched on their armor, holding longswords, their eyes cautious, like loyal guards protecting the young girl.
The young girl appeared to have an extraordinary identity.
She wore an exquisite white dress with layers of skirts embroidered with intricate golden patterns. The patterns wound and twirled like ancient mysterious symbols, telling of the family's glory. A brilliant ruby brooch clasped at the neckline, its glow interplaying with the golden threads on her attire.
She was the very picture of nobility and elegance.
Due to the young girl's gesture.
The two knights did not take immediate action.
"Be careful, Your Highness."
One of the knights cautioned the young girl, his eyes locked on Riddle's glowing magic wand.
"I think my experiment should have been successful?" The young girl completely ignored the knight's warning, stepped forward, brushed aside Riddle's magic wand pointed at her, and looked towards the pigsty.
Her gaze landed on the gutted boar.
"Are you all piglets it gave birth to?" The young girl turned her head towards Ian, Riddle, and the Malfoy lying on the ground, ultimately focusing on Ian.
Her cheeks were round and adorable, skin as white as snow with a faint pink hue, like the finest porcelain chiselled into form, with curls cascading like a waterfall over her shoulders.
The moonlight was dim.
Yet it couldn't hide her enchanting hue.
"Do you think pigs can give birth to humans?" Ian rolled his eyes directly. He wasn't the kind of little wizard who would be mesmerized by a young girl; he only had an interest in older sisters.
The young girl tilted her head slightly, seemingly unsatisfied with his answer.
However.
She still responded with a smile.
"Aren't I conducting experiments in this field?" The young girl's eyes were like emerald gemstones, clear and bright, and her eyes curved into a crescent shape when she smiled.
However, the cute appearance and the calm tone seemed somewhat mismatched.
"That's a boar!"
Riddle couldn't help but retort.
"I know."
The young girl glanced at Riddle again.
"That's why it's an interesting experiment, isn't it?" Her face was exquisite like a painting, her lips carrying a subtle smile, exuding an inherent elegance and confidence.
"..."
Riddle didn't know how to retort for a moment.
He once again realized that Hogwarts was truly a paradise, and compared to ancient people, he was entirely too naive. The Black Demon King had lost too much ground from the start line of turning dark.
"This person is sick."
Riddle turned to Ian to speak.
"I think so, too."
Ian nodded in deep agreement.
The young girl wasn't upset about their opinion.
"It seems you are not the little piglets I wanted to see." Her tone carried a hint of regret and disappointment, and she looked towards the pigsty where no pig survived.
"Then you need to compensate me for my loss, and also for the delay of my time." She raised her hand, lightly pointed at the dead pig on the ground, her voice still young.
Yet it carried a high and mighty tone.
"Heh."
Before Ian could reply.
Riddle let out a snigger.
His voice was deep and icy, carrying a kind of awe-inspiring authority: "Little girl, you're quite bold. You'd better step aside now, otherwise—"
The cold laugh was a clear threat.
"Or what?"
The young girl tilted his head slightly, displaying a curious tilted-head kill.
This behavior directly angered the Black Demon King.
"Kill her."
Riddle suggested to Ian.
"She certainly will be a bad seed when she grows up!"
He even prepared an excuse for Ian.
"You fool, didn't you see those two over there..."
Ian just started to criticize Riddle.
His sentence hadn't been completed.
Riddle let out a scream.
There, the next moment, Riddle discovered the two knights appeared before him, pressing him heavily onto the ground as if trying to crush him into the soil.
At this moment.
Riddle realized exactly what kind of magic props the armor worn by the two knights was. Regarding Ancient Magic Rune, he hadn't yet reached a high level of understanding.
"Let go of me!"
He started to bellow again.
But his head only sunk deeper into the ground.
The two knights had already lifted their longswords, the blade pointing directly at Riddle's neck. Ian watched the scene with interest, analyzing the armor on the knights.
What?
Rescue Tom?
Did he look like he has a good relationship with Tom?
"Are you wizards?" The young girl raised her hand, signaling the knights to stop; she walked to Riddle and picked up the magic wand, speaking to Ian while curiously playing with it in her hand.
"Yes."
Ian smiled as he observed the young girl in front of him. The two knights certainly posed no threat to him; however, the young girl was clearly unaware of this, mistakenly thinking the situation was under her control.
"As you can see, I'm a noble. My family also worships a powerful wizard, but I haven't received permission to learn." The young girl seemed very interested in the magic wand.
